Females only - lifting/weight training results?

As much as I enjoy looking at a buff man, it seems much harder to bulk up as a woman.

When I took a weight training in college it didn't seem to do much at the time. I've always had very weak arms. But I want to change that.

I'm planning on starting to lift/weight train again but I would love to see some before/after pics to get me more inspired/motivated.

I've been going to the gym for 3 years now, but was always doing the same routine - 30 minutes weight training, 1 hr cardio training, 3-4 times a week...gained some weight at some point...couldn't understand what was happening.

Last July, weighing 183 for my 5'3'' frame, I decided that enough was enough and that I needed to do something. Hired a personal trainer and here is the difference in 3 months of switching my program a bit...45 minutes weight training and 45 minutes cardio. 8 lbs difference in this picture. I think I can see a difference:

WOW! you are my hero! LOL

Thank you! I know it looks like a lot of muscle in the flexed pictures, but in regular clothes or not flexed I don't even look like I lift.

Lifting 5x per week on a deficit and working with a trainer. I killed it every single session.

Thank you! In total 3 years. I'm a single mom and only worked out on my lunch hour. May have been slow, but it was more than worth it.

Welcome!
