Lifting 5x per week on a deficit and working with a trainer. I killed it every single session.
My overall results of lifting from start to now.
Holy F!! How long has it taken you to transform like that! you look freaking incredible!!!4 -
Ladies you are all so inspiring!0

This is me after losing 40 lbs through cardio, diet and very light lifting.
And a year later after adding heavy lifting to my routine, compound lifts, a little less cardio and eating 1800-2200 gross cals per day. Only went down 10 lbs on the scale but lost inches like crazy and became stronger than I've ever been!
I'm still a work in progress and looking forward to the day that I have abs and an *kitten* like Sarauk2sf's! :blushing:17 -

Thank you! In total 3 years. I'm a single mom and only worked out on my lunch hour. May have been slow, but it was more than worth it.3 -
I do not have any proper before pics as I was very very camera shy due to the weight I had gained. However, I did find one taken on holiday just before I started on MFP at the age of 44.
I lost 37lbs through a reasonable caloric deficit and lifting over the course of a year. Since then I have done a bulk and a cut and am now reversing back up ready to bulk again. A couple of my most recent pictures, now at 46 years old:
Wow! Crazy transformation! Unbelievable abs... You're definitely an inspiration for women who feel like it's too late to have a better body.16 -

bump...going to watch this thread grow...need the inspiration!
I tried New Rules for women and got through the first bit fine but moving on to step two was almost twice the time in the gym and not do-able on my lunch hour.
Have done SL 5X5 (for a short time) and have considered going back, mainly because the lifts are easy to remember. But I can't possibly see results like these with just those compound lifts...
Would love to know the type of lifts/exercises you ladies are doing.3 -
Bump, i love this thread. I am focusing on building muscle. I am 5'4 and weighed in at 141.6 this morning. the profile pic is from yesterday. my son took that picture for me, also a single mom and struggling to make ends meet, so I find it hard to get a completely clean diet, but whatever I am doing is working so I am going to keep it up4
