I did Turbo Jam for 20 minutes, something I haven't done in a while. Also did not eat too much Halloween candy and logged everything that I ate.0

I meant to post this when I got home from trick or treating, but I feel just as good about it now as I did 30ish hours ago.
This time last year when I went trick or treating with me son and husband we went to my in-laws neighborhood. Really friendly people, great lighting, lots of goodies for the boy. Within 35-40 minutes of walking I was all but begging for my son to quit earlier than he wanted. I had been lagging behind him and my husband for a majority ofthe evening and rhey were forced to continually wait for me. I was exhausted and in pain and felt like sitting by the curb to cry. I felt like an awful parent for making my son quit ealy because I wasn't healthy enough to enjoy it.
Fast forward to this Halloween... I was able to keep up with my seven year old going house to house (again in/near my in-laws neighborhood), not only that but I had to continually slow my pace because I was outdistancing him and my husband. Even walking up and down hills I was able to keep up conversation and didn't feel winded. And then the most awesome thing happened; my son announced that HE was tired and wanted to go home and I was still up for going down several more streets, no problem! In a year I went from forcing my son to cut his trick or treating short to being too fast and energetic for him!!
My husband on the walk back to his parent's house turned to me and asked, "How do you have THIS MUCH energy?!" And I could oh laugh and respond, "I'm finally taking care of my body and giving it the opportunity to be healthy."
Definitely one of the best feelings I have had since starting down this road to better health. Being as to see how much has change just makes me want to keep the momentum going just so I can see what the next awesome thing will be.0 -
Had all my measurements done for a reassessment at the gym...managed to lose 3% body fat and a few inches in 2 months officially no longer in the 'fat' category for bf%!0

That I got through one of the most incredibly stressful weeks..and never once did I think about turning to food as a way to feel better. I survived the week and I'm still feeling good about the things I'm doing.0

I'm proud of myself for accepting that the scales fluctuate up sometimes- as there is no way I've eaten 7000 extra calories; I'm not freaking out.
Also, I've been sick this week... and for days all I've been thinking about is "hopefully I can run again tomorrow". Missing exercise is something I NEVER expected to be on my mind!0 -
Today is day 10 coffee FREE (NO coffee at all) for me. This is a tremendous accomplishment to/for me...YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :smooched: :smooched:0

6th day w/o a cigarette. 2nd full week of eating well...thanks MFP!. Walked 3+ miles and ran a couple of times without my back killing me. Apparently, walking is good for my lower back (muscles).0

I kicked butt at the gym and left as a sweaty, happy mess. I did 30 min HIIT on the elliptical, 5 minutes fast on stair climber, and ran a mile, then walked and did a little yoga to cool down.0

I'm busting out with joy. I stepped on the scale this morning and it started with a "2". It was 296.5lbs. I haven't seen that number for a very long time. I started out heaviest at 369 and when I started on MFP in June I was 349. Now this is awesome. I just had to share with someone.0

Looked in the mirror and thought, "Who's that athletic looking person over there?"

There were french fries offered at lunch today. I wasn't even tempted enough to consider grabbing any.0

I work overnights, and so when I went to bed this morning, I could hear my husband making bacon.
Worse yet, I dozed off and woke up about 30 minutes later and everything smelled like bacon.
I am proud that I didn't go out and have a couple slices of bacon even though my calories would have allowed for it.
I am "saving up" the calories I am short by each day because I am going out for lunch on Saturday and I know it will be calorie dense!0 -
Even though I've I have had "mouth hunger" all day,
I've eaten only "good" foods.
My stomach is comfortably full,
and I am still under my daily allotment by 300+ calories.0 -
I'm super thrilled that I've been getting my 10,000 steps in almost daily, for the past almost 2 weeks straight (I'm aiming to do this for at least 90 days in a row and hopefully forever more) now (only taking a day or two off per week--but still doing "some" wee exercising even on my day off). When I don't fully make my 10k steps outside walking, I've been adding working out on my stationary bike and home equipment or Leslie Sansone Walk Away The Pounds dvds and converting those exercises into steps to equal 10K or more!:drinker: . I've got a LONG way to go, but am so GLAD I'm not allowing lazy bumdom to keep me as sedentary as I used to be. One step at a time, literally for me and I'm GLAD about that--WOOT!!!!!0

Jogged almost 1.5kms without stopping for knee or breathing(asthma) issues
Measured all meals was actually fun to.0 -
I am proud that I did my first workout at the gym. I can't do very much yet , for example, I can only manage 2 minutes on the cross trainer , but I managed to do all that was set for me. Hopefully in time I will be able to increase the time spent on each piece of gym equipment. I have also done 2 aqua fit classes. As I have not exercised for years and am still so very big, I feel this is a real achievement.0

Actually got up when the alarm went0
