Underwear.... To wear or not to wear?
If you workout at a gym or run outside or bike or whatever you do....do you wear underwear?
What kind? Do you have special workout underwear? Do you just skip them?
I just can't seem to bring myself to put on pretty panties or thongs to exercise so I've been forgoing them.
Obviously this was directed towards the ladies but men feel free to jump in if you've got an opinion on this.

I personally skip them. I'm not a fan of them when working out or anytime for that matter.
There is nothing more disturbing to me than to see 4 bums on a person with ill fitting underwear and pants....workout gear, jeans, slacks or whatever. Underwear should serve a purpose and should be done with correct fitting ones.0 -
Eh about 50/50. Or I work out at home in JUST my underwear. It's healthier to skip them!0

My father was a coroner. I learned from him that WHATEVER you do, wear clean underware. I run...with clean underware.0 -
wore thongs once exercising. Never again. LOL0

Ha, Dirty underwear wasn't an option (for me). It was either clean underwear or none.0 -
I used to have big 'ol granny panties that I would wear for exercising only...then I tried one day without...NEVER going back!!0

I think it's safe to assume now that the majority of the women at my gym are NOT wearing undies. That sheds new light to going to workout!!!0

Especially if they don't wipe clean the abductor machine after they use it.0 -
Wow I didn't think this was even an option haha.. I always wear underwear, wouldn't consider not. I just have certain ones I wear to the gym.0

holy ****...sad when we have to specify something as basic as this! LMAO0 -
Who needs underwear? Or pants for that matter.0

Never.0

Never.
Never to workout or never, never. Just curious0 -
Gotta wear underwear0
-
I've never thought otherwise, but nothing's worse than conflicting materials when working out (undies fall or pants fall!!)
During the day, my jeans stretch out a lot so I'd be scared I'd have my hands full and put on a show when they drop to my knees! hahah
May have to test this one out while exercising :huh:0 -
Yoga pants and undies do not go together. At least for me.0

 I used to wear big ol 'seamless' jammies too. As I got smaller though, they not only were uncomfortable, but became too loose to even be functional. I mean, they're panties, not sweatpants, right?:blushing:
I tried going without & holy moley, the comfort level was off the chain. While at the gym, I go sans panties :smokin:0 -

I don't wear them when I'm running with running shorts on- they have built in undies!
But when I'm hitting the gym/running in long pants or capris- yes, I wear underwear. I have a few pairs set aside as "exercise undies" because they don't bunch up and tend to stay put.0 -
I'm usually a no undies kinda girl for everyday life..like 90% of the time...however I always wear them to the gym, I'm just more comfortable that way.0
-
Agree never wear them to work out or with anything but dress pants0
-
Jesus christ, after reading this thread... I'm going to wear 5 layers of underwear to the gym0
-
I usually work out after work, so I have to change into my gym gear, for which I do. On a Saturday, though, I don't see the point in getting up, putting clean pants on, just to take them off and put a new pair on an hour later. Why make more washing for yourself?
Also, it means I work out like this:

Cover your undercarriage! Wear underwear!0
-
If I'm going for a long run I'll wear compression shorts in place of underwear.
Normally I wear boxer briefs, so I don't have an issue wearing underwear for other workouts like lifting or a P90X DVD0
