    Hello everyone!

Last night we turned in the rental car and the kid working said that we will be responsible for the damage to the windshield. We had to point it out to him, because initially he didn't see it. We declined the Hertz insurance when we rented, relying instead on our regular car insurance ($1000 deductible) and coverage from the credit card company. So, we don't know how it will all work out, but I'm sure we will survive. Somehow...

We dropped off the car in the evening and took the hotel shuttle back to the hotel where we planned to get up at 2:45 AM to take the shuttle back to the airport. We asked for a wake up call, we set the alarm clock in the room, and I set an alarm on both my phone and my ipad. Off we went to dreamland, hubby with his CPAP and me with my earplugs. About midnight I woke up to go to the bathroom, and hubby informed me that the power to the hotel had gone out about 11:00. Of course, no electricity means no CPAP, so he was not able to sleep. I used my phone for a flashlight to find the bathroom, then dozed off and on till 2:45 when the ipad alarm went off. None of the other alarms went off. No wake up call from the hotel because their system didn't have electricity. Thank goodness for the ipad, or we might have missed our flight.

Oh, and there was one other small issue. Somehow I miscounted when I packed my underwear for the trip. I was one short. So, I washed out a pair in the sink and draped them over the A/C unit to dry overnight. You can guess how well that worked with no power. So I wore wet underwear from Portland to Phoenix to Kansas City. By the time we landed it was pretty much dry.

We got home just in time to get to the vet before they closed to pick up two very excited and happy dogs. The vet tech said she told Molly she was going home after I called to say we were coming, and the poor thing got so excited she got her face caught in the crate door. She knows what "going home" means.

So we are all home now, safe and sound. It was a wonderful trip. We are going to bed early though.

I hope you are all doing well. I'll catch up more tomorrow.

    Night!

    Sylvia

Kayzolla, PNW: CONGRATULATIONS ON REACHING YOUR GOAL!!!!!!!:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Joyce: You may start a new craze with capris-compression. I think you’d look great as long as long as you keep your socks clean and choose tops that picked up the color of your socks. All in all, it seems like a positive visit.:flowerforyou:

    Cynthia: Have fun!!!:flowerforyou:

Jane: I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for your happiness.:flowerforyou:

Yanniejannie: I’m delighted that your DD is a fan of the time period that Heather’s DH write s about. I’ve read some books set in that time period, and I’m considering a purchase, too.

Mimi: I’m happy you had a good time at the wedding and also that you’re back on track. I go off track once in a while, too. Social situations seem to call for flexibility.:flowerforyou:

Alison: I’m glad you fixed the computer. I’m thrilled you talked to Rita. Hugs to both of you:flowerforyou: .

Barbie: I’m glad your former line dance teacher is able to come home. I’m thinking good thoughts for your cousin.:flowerforyou:

Sorry to those I missed.:ohwell: :flowerforyou:

It has been a long day. DH went to his General Practitioner because of pain. He is going in for an MRI and may need surgery. Keep the doctors and DH in your prayers. He hasn’t got a scheduled date for the MRI yet. This is all very new. Another nasty bit of news: we have a mouse! We knew they were getting into the area under the kitchen sink and sealed it. Evidently we sealed one inside. Gross! Bought traps and need your wishes for good luck.

:flowerforyou: Barbara from Idaho, I am so happy to see you again…..are you still line dancing?

 Barbie from beautiful sunny NW Washington
    :

You remembered, thank You! Yes still line dancing but only once a week, and usually can't get away from work early enough to get more than an hour or hour and a half of the class. Our teacher has invited Dancin' Dean (from New York state) to teach a workshop Sept 6 and I'm sooo looking forward to it.

Scottish country dancing is on break for the summer, only one class a month.

But something new has been added, Joe and I take an hour's Tai Chi class in the Botanical Garden every Saturday morning. I'm thrilled Joe seems to enjoy it and wants to continue as long as the weather permits. This and an occasional stroll with the pups through the park are treasured times together. Feels like we're starting to reconnect in ways we haven't for a long time.

Glad to be back and to see so many familiar names, Michelle, Meg, Reb, Jane, JB, Joyce, Kackie, Katla, Gail, Linda, Viv and could it be? Mary SMVQ is that you???

    Hugs,

Barbara, the SW Idaho AHMOD who wants to feel good NOW.

Just for now: let anger remind to transform judging thoughts, be kinder than necessary, trust.
Today: Log like Mary MSH, every bite lick or sip whether over, under or sidewise!
July: pull up my big girl panties, get out that measuring tape and step back on the scale.

Mimi – back on track is the most important step – giving up is something most of us have done in the past and that did not work, so not giving up is step one…

Sylvia – I think I would have worn a dry pair inside out…

    Good morning from Hampshire UK.

DH has just gone off with his friend to the last day of the cricket. A test match lasts five days. Their attendance wasn't scheduled, but England are on the verge of winning against India, so it was a last minute decision. They haven't won much recently! ! !

Katla - I hope your DH's pain isn't something serious. Best wishes coming your way!

The reference for The Morning Gift is

    amazon.co.uk/dp/1500663162

His first two books were really cheap on Kindle, but for some reason Amazon has set this at a higher price. The pb is also available.

Rita - good to see you! I used to suffer regularly with severe depression so I have every sympathy. My DS#1 also has it right now. As you know, it does go away eventually, and for some reason I haven't had an episode since I met DH. Recently over here some very public figures have "come out" about their struggles with depression, including very unlikely people. My son, who has won awards for his coaching, bills himself as "black dog" - a coach with depression. It's good that people are more willing to talk about it. I must say it ruled my life for most of my life and I thought that was who I really was. Hugs to you.:flowerforyou:

    Barbara - welcome back!:flowerforyou:

Kay - how fantastic to get to your goal! Have you read Strong Women Stay Young? I ordered a very cheap second hand copy from Amazon and it came from the USA! Strength and weight training have transformed my shape. The texture still leaves a bit to be desired, but as Katla says, I am not 25 any more, though I am fitter than I was then.

I'm going to try a new recipe today using some of my prolific zucchini. It's served with tagliatelli, but I will prepare the sauce and eat mine with shritaki noodles and make DH'S with the pasta. I got it from BBC Good food and found loads of zucchini recipes there. We call them courgette. I am going to try the courgette chocolate cake with hazlenuts for the freezer. Got to use up those pesky zucchini! ! Our French beans have also been fantastic thiis year and sooooo delicious! The runner beans (string?) haven't liked the heat and are not doing at all well. That happened last year, but they started producing later on when the weather cooled off. The chard is fantastic, the kale and salads all spotty and eaten.
Last night's pork stew was fabulous and we have another helping in the freezer. I froze some tarragon for use out of season and today will melt down some sorrel for use in sauces in the winter. I love sorrel with fish or in an omelette. I love sour and sharp flavours.

Beth - I have an excellent recipe for a hot sauce made with chillies and red peppers. The red peppers come from a jar so they may have sulphites, so you would have to check. You could blister and roast your own peppers - it would be a drag, but you could freeze the resulting sauce in ice cube trays and just take out what you need. It is Nigella 's Jumbo sauce. Freezes perfectly. I use it as a dip with crudités and pittas for guests who like a bit of fire! If you can't find it online I will post it.

I'm sorry if I've forgotten anyone. Really tired today. I dragged myself through my exercising with zero enthusiasm as I didn't sleep well, but managed 541 cals.

Love Heather in sunny and dry Hampshire UK

Edit - Beth it is on line, Nigella's Jumbo Chilli Sauce recipe. You might have to look up exactly how to blister and roast the fresh red peppers. They say putting them in a pladtic bag after blistering helps the skin rub off, but I have never done it, I always use the jars.

    Good Morning Friends<

Rita have you had your Vit D levels checked. I know it is summer and just being out for a short time helps. Here is Minnesota we are so far North that even in summer it is not always easy to get enough Vit. D. A friend of mine suffered from severe depression. She got better when she spent the winter in Mexico and swam everyday. Between the exercise and the sunshine she vastly improved. When you are depressed exercise is the last thing you want to do, it can help. Thoughts and prayers.

Last night we auditioned two choir directors. I liked both of them but I hope the young man gets the position. I liked his gentle demeanor. He had a way of trusting our voices so each of us could be heard yet we sang as one. If he doesn't get the position I have decided to seek him out and take private lessons from him. I did get myself to record myself for a singing contest with AARP . I sang Simple Gifts. Just entering was an accomplishment for me.

Today I continue to do outdoor painting projects, so tomorrow our home will be closer to having a fresh coat of paint where needed.

    2014 word: contentment

Heather: I don’t have space for zucchini in my flowerbeds, but I used to sneak around my old neighborhood in the early mornings and drop them off on doorsteps.

Barbara from ID: I’m glad that you’re back. My DSIL LOVES the Botanical Garden & we’ve gone for visits there on a couple of occasions, along with DH’s cousin. It would be a lovely setting for Tai Chi.:flowerforyou:

Rita: I hope you will soon find the combination of social support and medical help that chases your depression away. I suffered depression too, during the dark months of winter. I’ve been told this is fairly common for people with summer birthdays. A combination of daylight temperature lighting in my home, and calcium with vitamin D3 has chased my depression away. I haven’t had problems for the past several years. Depression is something that plagued my mom all of her life. She resisted taking medications for it until the months before her death. Her doctor prescribed antidepressants and she stopped taking them because, “They made me too damned happy.” I’ve never understood her resistance to being happier. Eventually we had to put her in an assisted living facility because of her declining health. The place was near our home and she was brought her pills by the staff each day. She took them all, including the antidepressant. She would have refused the antidepressant then, except that she didn’t know which pill it was. She was seated with a lively group of men and women at meals, and they enjoyed her sense of humor. The companionship of the other residents and the increased contact with family living nearby helped, too. Good luck to you with your situation. I hope you feel better soon.:flowerforyou:

DH’s pain is evidently not MS connected, and may end up requiring back surgery. He is now on pain meds that have him more than a bit looped but is more comfortable. He will be scheduling an MRI in the near future. His last MRI did NOT show his lower back, so the next one will need to do that. This is a tale of two doctors, DH’s primary care doctor and his MS specialist. They need to share information so everybody has the whole picture and I’m confident that will not be an issue.

I am a sick individual! I skimmed the posts since I have been AWOL and the two I want to comment on are about dirty underwear and elephant poop!

Kris Krisofferson has a song with a line about his "cleanest dirty shirt." I think that is the route I would have gone before wearing wet ones.

Then I googled the elephant poop thing. Apparently there are you tube videos if anyone is interested. I didn't actually go that far. They do it to replace the bacteria necessary for a healthy digestive tract. There are several species of animals whose babies do it to establish the healthy bacteria.

    So, now you know.

Hello all I'm having a great day. I was sitting in the car this morning waiting for hubby he was at a parts store. Got fed up of waiting, So brought him the keys and told him to pick me He said in two minutes. I must be one hell of a fast walker I walked 1 mile in 2 minutes. Before I had the stent put in it took me 20 min. on a good day. Something wrong with this picture. But great to know I can do it. This was my first good walk since the stent went in. Now I know I can do it. It won't be the last.

Well I was down 1 lb at tops last night leaving me with only .5 to see under 200 next week. I'm going away tomorrow until Monday. But with the trailer bringing my own food so should be able to be good.

    Jane
Fingers and toes crossed and prayers going your way to find the perfect living quarter.

Good afternoon!! It seems I have been in whirlwind mode and haven't stopped except to sleep (and, some mornings, I feel like I was working all night, too).

I can't even remember when the last time I posted was. In any case...

Heather - I have taken great pleasure in reading about your adventures. A barn in the middle of a meadow sounds divine! Today I received an email offer to stay in a one-room cabin high in the mountains of Tennessee. I stayed there a little over a year ago for a week. By myself!! It was incredible and I really want to do it again but I am holding off on any plans until I see when I will be moving.

Rita - I'm glad you're back! You were missed. Depression is a miserable thing. Mine tends to hit in the Spring of the year, I guess because I hate the heat so much.

Everyone else, I've read and sympathized and rejoiced with you. Names and particulars are just beyond my capabilities right now.

I went with my daughter yesterday to look at a condo for herself. She is really excited about it! In fact, she was so excited about the possibility that she went ahead and turned in her notice to her current landlord before seeing the property OR getting approved for the loan! Sometimes I wonder what goes on in that brilliant mind of hers!! I had to be the harbinger of bad news that it will take longer than a couple of weeks to get everything through closing and that she should probably be calling her landlord right back!

I hope next week to go look at some condos for myself to see if I actually like the ones I think I do.

I am working on a huge project for my church that has sort of taken over my life right now. It will be finished as of Monday morning, but I'm going to have a busy weekend! I've been sneaking in bits of printing while I'm at work because I don't have a printer at home. I'm off to get some work done now!

    Have a great evening!

Linda - you are doing so well!:flowerforyou: You are quite right not to try to eat too few calories. Slow but steady. Congratulations on the walking. I am not brilliant at walking because of my knee and arthritic hips which start complaining after a bit. I seem to crash out these days with hip pain after about three and a half miles. Next Feb I have got to do 6 miles through a jungle and up an incline as part of my holiday. I think a good dose of pain killers before I set off is in order!

Margaret - the singing lessons sound a brilliant idea.:flowerforyou:

Sylvia - so glad one of your alarms went off. Once in Hong Kong I got my time zones mixed up and set a 12 hr clock time instead of a 24 hr one. Luckily I was so nervous about waking up for the plane that I didn't sleep at all ! ! !:ohwell: :noway:

Carol - peace and quiet is so wonderful isn't it. Hope you get a chance of that cabin.
This evening I was just, out of interest, checking out some cottages on the Gower Peninsular in South Wales. DH has never been there, though I have and I have two sets of old friends in South Wales. I found one I really liked, really isolated with a view over fields to the sea and lots of walks from the door. It was free for thecweek in May that we like to go away. I showed it to DH and he said, "Do you want to book it?" Took me by surprise! ! ! ! I have emailed my friends to see if they are going to be around then, but I know that one often takes a holiday around that time. It does look lovely though. A three bedroomed white washed cottage a long way from the road . ................ near the sea .............near one of the world's best beaches...........quiet............

I hope at least one of my friends will be around .........

Off tomorrow to London to smooch my DGC. Staying over one night. Note to self - do not let my son ply me with drink Friday night. Last time, because DDIL was away we all drank far too much. This time she is there to keep an eye on us.

I have lost last weekend's extra calories. Back to 140 lbs, but I have not lost the lb I promised myself for July. I will roll that goal over to August.:ohwell:

Love Heather in Hampshire UK, expecting rain sooooooon.

Well, I am here when I should be doing school work. :blushing: Shows where my mind is! LOL Thank you all so much for the well wishes. It helps me a lot to find that I am not the only one suffering with depression issues. What kind of meds do you all take for it?

I found a new doctor that my husband likes and is not afraid of technology! His office is closed until Monday but will definitely set up an appointment to see him next week. My current doc is so old fashioned and slow! He even mixed up my and my DH's records (all on paper)!:ohwell: Scary!!! I did have him schedule my yearly mamo and from that I found out I had leakage from implants I stupidly had done 25 years ago. :embarassed: Had to have MRI, now waiting. My 'old' dr is on vacation until 8/11 (a whole month!) so I can't wait to see this new one. I also want to have the depression evaluated. Maybe something else can be done.

My son ran from a police stop and ended up in jail-maced-and beat up. He resisted arrest, tried to outrun the cops in his car and drove himself into an alley with no way out, then jumped out of the car and tried to run on foot. He was tackled of course, then maced because he was struggling. The worst part was he was on the phone with me when all this happened! I heard the arrest but never got to talk to anyone! Talk about upset!!!! I:noway: :noway: :noway: hung up because I couldn't listen any more.... Next day, I called station and got to talk to arresting officer and heard his side of the story. There is a lot more to the story but found out he ran because he was 'scared' and had an open can of beer in the car which he got rid of and not charged for :frown: . He was going to be stopped for an expired inspection sticker. :noway: For some unknown reason, after 4 days in jail, his work paid $7K to bail him out???  He also has been evicted and is now living with his father in a one room area. He also confessed to me he has a drug problem. I am a wreck about all this.

Add that to lay-offs at work, and other every day issues and its no wonder I am having trouble with depression. The "old dr." had blood tests done to check my vitamin D levels but again, another 2 weeks before he is back from vaca.

So much more I want to write but I am outside and my eyes are beginning to burn so have to go in soon.

Thank you all again so much for your well wishes. I really needed them.

Hi gang. Nice day today; I started at the Y with “aqua boot camp” which was quite the workout. Then a bit of grocery shopping and then a manicure and spa pedicure. Nice and relaxing. Now the problem is that I am exhausted! DD#2 (Alena’s) senior pictures are available on line now so we have had fun looking at them. Actually my favorite one is the one where I photo-bombed her doing the “rabbit ear” thing behind her head! The expressions are really good!

Benny Beagle has started licking his paw again and now there’s a sore on the bottom, between the pads. Good grief. He wore that cone for 2 weeks and it is back!

At the y I saw the sweetest thing; an old guy wheeled his wife into the y, then into the family locker room so he could help her change. Then he wheeled her out to the pool, transferred her to a pool wheelchair and helped her exercise. They were water walking with her arms around his neck. I just about melted!

Tina: so sorry for all your losses!

    Lestan: stay safe and dry!

Gina: you can do this! I too am a diabetic and my goal is to come off meds. Make one small change and keep at it for a couple of weeks before trying to change something else. That’s my best advice!

Michele: that’s a lot of power washing!

    Yanniejannie: get some rest!

Heather: relax ? What is that???

Patty: I love to dance so I hope you have fun

Barbara AHMOD: welcome back my friend!

Rita: it’s nice to see you again. I’m sorry for your depression; I have been treated for it too and it is no fun. I’m glad you have support; not everyone understands why we want to sleep all the time and not get anything done!

Vicki: I sure wish we would get some rain! I hope things get better there as far as the family drama goes…that is way too much stress!

Joyce: French kiss…omg! That was hilarious!

    Cynthia: have a great visit

Jane; my fingers and toes are getting cramped from being crossed for so long!

Kim: thanks for sharing the recipe. It looks really good

Mimi: its hard to stay on track during all those festivities

Sylvia: glad you are home safe and sound, but damp undies????? Ugh that would have driven me crazy!

Katla: sending prayers for DH and your “hunting”!

OK, all you gardeners….what do I do with my prolific cucumber? I don’t have a canner (I was a horrible canner) so any other suggestions? I have at least 25 in my kitchen right now. Meg from Warm and lovely OMaha

Rita, it breaks my heart to see you suffering with this. Yes, many of us have depression, or have had it at some point in our lives. It's really, really hard. I've had it since I was a little kid. I remember walking out into the field at about 6 years old and crying my eyes out for no reason. And I have attempted suicide more than once. I have been on many antidepressants in my life. Some worked better than others. Some had unbearable side effects. And I got sick of going to counselors and shrinks, telling my story over and over. Finally, several years ago my regular doc said she wanted to try an old med that had been around for decades, since none of the shiny new ones worked. It is trazodone, and it changed my life. Truly. It took a couple of months to get just the right dosage,75mg, but now I feel normal at last. I've been on it for several years now, and don't have the bad side effects I had with the others. My son also went through some horrible times, with drugs and other stuff, and I did not handle it well. Thank goodness I had my husband to help me. What about you? Do you have emotional support at home? I hope you get some relief soon.

Meg, I don't like cucumbers at all. I planted one because my oldest granddaughter said she likes them, but when they got ready she changed her mind. I give mine to the other neighbor. Hugs to Benny!

Today was big fun. The kids came over to ride bikes, then they went home. I went out to pick cherry tomatoes, hubby came with me, and we totally filled a big soup pot. Five gallons, I think. Then, I went next door and invited them to come pick. They came out with little cereal bowls, and I said, no, you are going to need a bigger bowl! So they got two big plastic bowls. The kids filled the bowls and the mom and I talked. It turns out she is the principal at my grandkids school. I didn't know that. Small world.

Well, I need 420 more steps. Gotta go.

Did 50 minutes of Jillian Michael's Shred It With Weights DVD today. I did levels 1 and 2 only without the cool down after Level 1. Tomorrow the plan is to do SOMETHING. I have Gilad's 45/45 split DVD. Not sure if I'll only get to one portion or both. We need to be at the MD for Vince at 7:30 so I won't be able to exercise in the a.m. (I'm pretty sure I won't). That's when I like to exercise, but tomorrow I may have to do it when we get home.

Sylvia - I'm so sorry that you'll be responsible for the damage to your windshield. Unfortunately, that's one of the bad sides to being honest. If you hadn't pointed it out to him, he probably wouldn't have noticed. Vince says that sometimes I'm too honest. Whenever we go away, I never rely on a wake up call from the hotel or even their alarmclock. I usually use the alarm on my phone. One good thing about wearing wet underwear -- you stayed cool! So glad your trip was good

Lesley - which exercises do you do on the WiiFitPlus?

Well, the weather isn't looking all that great for tomorrow's social -- 80% chance of rain. So I guess we just have to adjust and have it inside. We're fortunate in that we CAN have it inside, we have enough room.

katla - keeping good thoughts for your hubby. Good luck with that mouse. Hope you catch it real soon. I hate mice.

Barbara in ID - sounds so sweet the things you and dh are doing together.

Margaret - congrats on the singing. Tell us more about it. Bet you came in in the top

Alison - prayers for your aunt. Best wishes for her birthday, too

Linda - yea for your walk!!!! You can do it (losing that .5). I know you can. You have things figured out

Carol in NC - when would you get the cabin for?

You know how I'm almost always running here and there, doing something? Well, for most of the day I've had to be home in case Vince needed me. I tell you, it's been nerve wracking! I started to make the orzo shrimp salad that I'm going to make for the social, the cake is baked and in the freezer, I just need to ice it tomorrow. Went thru a lot of the recipes that I've cut out of papers and threw a lot away, things that Vince'll never eat, only me and I can only eat so much. Some weren't worth saving.

Question for any baker: I've made fruit pies, but invariably when I do, it seems that the fruit "shrinks" and there is a gap between the top layer of the fruit and the crust. What do you all do to eliminate this from happening?

Rita - I would feel much better about having a doc who is more current, so I wish you the best of luck. Let us know how things work out. I'm so sorry youre going thru so much with your son.

Meg - how sweet! Thanks for sharing about those people at the Y. I don't know why Vince waited until now to do the power washing. Actually, today he really can't do much (actually, he's in bed since there really isn't much for him to do, he has a hard time seeing the computer, he can't watch TV or read. I suggested we put the leaves in the tables for the social. Now why didn't he think of that, that that's something he could do? As to what to do with your cucumbers, I'd look on line. I didn't know what to do with this big squash someone gave me, I was going to use it in my salad but I also knew that it was so large that I'd be eating it forever. I found a recipe for squash cookies! You could always donate them to a food pantry.

Read to here. Just filling my food journal before bed. Had a good day today. Was getting the trailer ready leaving tomorrow for a few days of camping and hoping to pick blueberries. So need to watch how I eat. Not worried about exercise picking blueberries is good exercise.

See you all lighter when I get back

:flowerforyou: today is the day with two dance classes. : I found out this morning that we've been invited to dance at Relay for Life next Friday so we don't have much time to prepare to dance about nine dances (most of them are different from the ones we're doing at the fair and many of the dancers are ones who aren't dancing at the fair)....should be interesting.

:flowerforyou: my cousin thinks she may be leaving the rehab and going home next week but she's not sure of anything so I reminded her to take her life one day at a time and be grateful for the care she is getting right now.

Linda in N ON: Congratulations on a great walk and doing something you couldn’t do pre-stent.:drinker: Re my DH: Surgery is no fun, but neither is this. I hope we can find a way to eliminate his pain and give him back the ability to move more easily. If that requires surgery, we’ll have to be brave. Your advice about fear of failing v getting up after the fall is brilliant. As to cats, our neighbors have a herd and they do negative things to local desirable wildlife.:grumble:

NC Carol: Good luck with the sale of your house and finding a new place that feels like home.:flowerforyou:

Alison: Your DFIL and DH cannot possibly appreciate you enough. Hugs!:flowerforyou:

Heather: Stay strong with your DS who likes to be a genial host. Too many drinks are high calorie and low good sense all at once.:flowerforyou:

Rita: We’re one of the best possible destinations for your mind, errant or not. It is a great idea to have your depression evaluated by your new doctor. It looks like the current one is not up to the task of your care. No one needs the list of worries you have. I’m especially sorry about the situation with your son. Sending good thoughts and prayers. Hugs.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Meg: Did you see my zucchini post? I used to sneak around my neighborhood in the dark and drop them off. Your cukes could get similar treatment.

Sylvia: Your gift of garden fresh tomatoes ended up with a nice contact with your DGK’s school. Good for you.:drinker: :flowerforyou:

Newbies: There will be a new thread tomorrow. Watch for the link after the last post here today.:flowerforyou:

We’re part way ready for the kids and our DS’s in-laws to visit. I wish DH was in better health to host the fishing. I’m not sure whether he is up to it. :noway: I am not a fisherwoman, so I’m not able to pitch in as anything but hostess. We went to see his GP because of the pain, and he may be scheduled for an MRI to evaluate the possibility of a lower spine fusion.:frown:

On a less worrisome note, I was having trouble getting my printer to do its job this afternoon. I wanted to print the picture of me on the horse at the beach that you see on my posts and couldn’t get it to happen. The printer manufacturer has a helpline and the woman was very helpful. She loved the picture and wished she could find a place to ride. Beach and horse are an awesome combination. I have the picture, was able to print it, and have the memory. I’m happy and lucky to have had such a nice birthday.:love:
