Back from a four day holiday and what can I say...eating healthily abroad in a group of 14 students is difficult, especially when on a tight budget.
So, DAMAGE LIMITATION starts Tuesday! I will try to get myself down to the gym, healthy eating is definitely back on the agenda and hoping to maintain this week.
We did A LOT of walking these past four days with sightseeing and whatnot, so I hope this has helped somewhat. Also it showed me that my fitness levels are better than I thought, which has motivated me to move more, no more excuses!
Also, well done to everyone for those incredible losses!! Hope to see more like it!0 -
Thought I might share my journey a little ... with pictures ... this makes it more real ...
This was my 27th wedding anniversary. June 20, 2008 ... I weighed 230 lbs.
Joined MFP in June of 2009 at about 208.5 lbs and the yo yo went down to ... This ... September 29, 2009 ... I weighed 180 lbs.
Then this past year I let other things take over and I yo yo'ed back up to about 206 lbs ... then I got back on track and then ... This was today ... January 24, 2011 ... I weighed 198 lbs this morning. I'm heading down in weight again.
It's good to be back to living a healthy lifestyle ... here's hoping there will be more and more lighter and healthier looking pictures in my future. Just want to thank you all for your support. All through my yo yo'ing my MFP family has always been there.0 -

I'm hoping for at least a 1 pound loss this week, and then i'll be happy. Been pretty good with the exercising (just started 30 day shred) But not too well with resisting the cookies...

I had a bad weekend and I made some poor food and drink choices but Monday was the start of a new week and I hit the gym even though I DID NOT want to! My boyfriend kind of encouraged me in a good way ("think about how good you will feel after! you're always so happy after!") so I ended up doing some dvd's in my living room while he went to the gym.. I think it was a good compromise! I think today (Tuesday) i've forgiven myself for the weekend! Best of luck to everyone.. just a few days left til the weigh in! I hope everyone stays after it! It'll all be worth it IN THE END!!0 -
I had a pretty rough weekend as well, now Im back to work an eight day stretch... yuck. Ive been doing well at work with my healthy eating but as soon as I get home Im like a magnet to anything that I can shove down my throat.. rrrrrrrr:explode: Theres always tomorrow to start fresh again.

As for me ... my lower abdomen is a bit sore from all the sneezing I've been doing ... I may have to count it on my exercise diary. How many carories do you burn sneezing? Things that make you go hmmmm.

I feel you there, I've been stuck in bed the last 2 days myself with strep. Not much sneezing there so you're atleast getting more exercise than me :laugh: But i can only manage to eat liquids so maybe that'll help me process foods quicker lol!

Down 2lbs yay! Also because I'm measuring in kg, there is some differences in lbs. I've lost 8.8 lbs so far but MFP recognises it as 9lbs no complaints here

I'm weighing in this fine morning at 146.7 so i've lost a total of 1.8 pounds this week. Which i'm happy about, especially because last week i lost nothing! So i'm glad that i pushed through despite such a stressful week.
I'm going to step it up for the next weigh in, and i'm hoping i'll keep losing and keep up with my mini goal weights for each week.

Oh and i just wanted to say, that i have not had the best week at all. For the past 3 days i've been getting back from work at about 8pm and i've been so exhausted. I've worked out a lot less and given into a bit of temptation. Yesterday i was 400 calories over. But, you have just got to keep going, and remember ONE day will no ruin a week of effort.

1lb off for me! I'm so pleased, I can't believe that I ate so badly for FOUR DAYS and yet still lost! It's probably due to the fact that I didn't give up and all the walking I did! I don't think I'll make it to my goal, though I knew from the start that it was a long shot.

Happy Friday all! I am down 2 pounds this week and am very happy about that. Well this weekend should be challenging, I am having a women's winter getaway at my lake house(12 women),,..We will be snowshoeing, sledding, and some will be skiing.. so the exercise part should be fine... I am just going to have to make good choices with food and drink,,,

Good Morning Everyone!! Hope everyone has done well this week. I personally didn't have a great week, was up 1.7lbs. Nobody to blame but me. I made a few bad food choices and didn't exercise. :frown:

Down 2.4 lbs! I'm very happy to see this after my weigh-in last week, glad to be out of the 170s again!!! Hopefully I can keep it up and reach my goal. Did my 1 month measurements this morning and I've lost a total of 5.5 inches since Dec. 28th, not much but I'm loving it!

I'm back on track! I was out of the country during my weight gain. But I lost that and more! I'm so excited. I forgot how it felt to have such a great loss after being really strict with diet and exercise. (I have been cheating here and there - haven't been 100% into the goal until this week). Hard work does pay off. 5.5 pounds down from last week and 3 down from my first weigh-in!0 -
