Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great relaxing weekend and a fantastic Monday! Since it's the beginning of our 2nd week, I just want to hear how everyone is doing. I hope everyone is staying motivated and looking at the end goal. Good health, looking good and that one thing that is driving you. So what is your motivation for losing weight? What will be your reward at the end of our LONG journey?
For me it's the simple fact of feeling great about myself again. It just came to me last night, that I haven't been under 200lbs since 2007. That's 4 YEARS! :mad: But I know I can do this. Plus my hubby said that if I hit my goal weight for the summer, we'll go on a cruise to the carribbean! So that's the motivation, looking good in a bathing suit!0 -
Morning everyone!
So this morning I got out the tape measure, and I've lost an inch off my waist! So what if the scale isn't cooperating - I'm wearing pants today that were uncomfortably tight the last time I put them on!
My weigh in and goal aren't on the list - I'm currently 160, aiming to get down to 145 by summer.

Great job! That means your gaining muscle and slimming down. Keep up the good work!0 -
calorie counts are staying right in line, NO chocolate chip cookies for breakfast (although, that was such a one-off i really don't feel too bad about it) and i've gotten in workouts both yesterday (1 hr) and today (45 mins).
no movement on the scale as of yet, but we'll see how things look in a week.
btw, favorite breakfast sandwich ever, 310 cals:
Thomas - Hearty Grains Double Fiber Honey Wheat English Muffin, sliced in half and toasted
A shmear (maybe 1 tbsp) of peanut butter
half a banana sliced on top (I eat the other half)
Drizzle with honey
One of those in the morning will keep me going, even through a workout, until 1 or 2 in the afternoon for lunch. SO good.
Also liking a single piece of pepperidge farm or arnolds whole wheat bread, toasted, cut in half with a scrambled egg and some salsa in the middle and eaten like a sandwich. puts mcdonalds to shame.0 -

My motivation is my wedding in April. I have never really felt "good" about myself. My goal is to someday think I look good! Hopefully I'll get there by summer, and like you, look good in a bathing suit!! :]0 -
Hi everyone! I am 31 yr old mom of 2active boys, 8 & 7. I am looking to lose 15 - 20lbs by summer. But my main goal is to truly feel "GOOD" about myself. That has never happened...it's always 5more lbs or 10more or if I could only afford to have this surgery or that surgery I would be happy. Well I'm not going to have this or that surgery so it's up to me. The stretch marks are here to stay but I will deal with it I am having my 10yr anniversary and we are going to the beach, so although a 2 piece will never be appropriate for me with my belly marks....i want to look as good as possible in that sexy one piece.
I am a chocoholic....I can have all kinds of desserts in front of me but they are not appealing unless they have chocolate in them. I am trying sooooo hard to stay away from it but it has been difficult. I have only lost 3lbs so far...but I am determined to get the weight off. I am trying to eat healthier for both myself and my kids.
Overall goal: I want to be and feel positive and beautiful!!0 -

Hey everyone I am still here!!!
If you go over by 300 try working out to burn off that extra 300 that way you wont feel as guilty about it!!!
I am thinking about ditching WW , I wasted 60 dollars, I would much rather count calories than do WW, but they dont refund, such a shame!!0 -

do you have your diary open to view? Just stick to it. I know you can do it, what is it that's motivating you? Just keep that in mind and don't loose focus of it. Just stick to it.0 -

Hi Ann my name is amanda. I'm not sure if you ever watch the Biggest Looser but it serves as a great inspiration for me and my old man! Bob, the trainer off the show, has great tips bout "falling off the wagon" he's not a big fan of that expression he says, and I agree, "its not falling off the wagon it's just triping! And what do you do when you trip and fall? you get up dust urself off and start again"! Don't let tripping get you down! Just dust yourself off and go back at it! You can do it!!!0

Hi everyone I am Tammy. I have too much to lose to reach my goal weight by summer but could use the help staying motivated and keeping me on track. I work part time from home so "staying strong" can be challenging sometimes. I will also be going to Mexico in March as we do almost every year, it's always hard getting back into the swing of things when we return though. I'd love to be part of the group.0

OMG I sooo love those types of shows! Right now I'm addicted to Heavy on A&E! Just the transformation of some of the individuals on there is amazing! It truly gets me motivated.0 -

So today, my body is feeling good, but it seems that I'm hungry. Lol. I feel a little run down but that's to be expected I guess from the pushing my body to eating the right things and working out.
Boy o boy, last night I did not want to do anything. Didn't want to work out or anything, but I got on that treadmill and did my thing. Feels good, I know it's too soon to see any difference, but I swear i know my stomach is shrinking. Heres to not losing sight of my goals and dreams of being healthy and beautiful. :drinker:0 -
I guess I should add that I currently weigh 192 (lost 7 lbs. over the last 2 weeks since getting serious) and would be very happy at 150. I'm 5'3" and know that technically I should weigh less than that but I'm really trying to live in my reality and 150 would have me ecstatic!0

I would like to join and get almost to my goal by the summer I have to lose 10lbs my April we have joined a group called scale back alabama and they want everybody that joins to lose 10lbs by april and i am going to do it is four to a group wish me luck

I am trying to stay motivated...it just gets hard when people, especially a few women in my family are very hard on me about my weight so I guess that is what is driving me more to get into shape (although I would never tell them that). I am realizing that now as I get older, that I need to work on breaking old habits before it get's to late. I have always been a chubby girl so it would be nice to be on the other end for a change.0 -
I am proud of myself today, I have been on track with my calorie intake...and have found that planning my meals in advance helps me do so...so I will try to do that from now on!! Also am proud of the fact that I have been eating breakfast everyday this week, I usually don't eat breakfast and have noticed the energy change I love it.

I'm Holly - I'm 24. I have a 4 year old little boy, who is the greatest blessing in my life, but caused me to go from 120 pounds to 172 pounds over the past 4 years. His lifestyle of chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and oreos, along with just the initital pregnancy have put me far above where I want to be!
I've been working out 5-7 days a week since the last week of November. So far, I have lost 18 pounds. We're going on a cruise in 9 days, and my goal was to be 150 at the start of the cruise, so 4 more pounds to go!
By summer, I would like to be 135-140. I don't necessarily care about the number, just how I look and feel. I just started C25K this morning, and I'm hoping to run my first 5K in April.

y'all, no lie: my fitness coach on the wii will absolutely kick your *kitten*. 45 minutes of aerobics, 15 minutes of toning, 468 calories GONE. (468-ish, i'll say; it might be less because i don't have a heart rate monitor and i'm going with the program's estimate.)
but it feels good. i'm starting to see changes that i like. kind of excited for weigh-in.
btw, as far as earlier posts that it's hard to stick to the calorie counts: it gets easier. if you miss it one day, pay attention to what threw you off track and just try to avoid that situation, take a smaller portion, etcetera. and pretty soon your body acclimates and it's a lot easier to stick with it. took me a couple of weeks to not be consistently over, but i've been able to stick to 1200-1210 calories a day for a week or so now.0 -
Sooo proud of myself. Pushed myself on wiifit last night and maaaann can I feel it in my abs today! Woohoo!0

My name is suzanne.I wanted to say hi and may I please join your group.I love the idea fit by summer.We need are bikini bodies.I am in my 40's.I have 7 children.From older children to younger children.Only 2 children a little boy and a little girl are living at home with me now..I am divorced after 24 years of marriage.I need lots and lots of motvation.But I can do it.I need to lose about 15 to 20 pounds by summer.I'm older so I need to tone up alot.I have been working out stretching and walking and toning.I want to try some of my exercise video's by next week and work my way up slowly.I'm not real good at my diet.But I will try harder.It is very nice to meet everyone.Have a very happy day today.0 -

I just would like to say welcome to all the newcomers to the group. Keep us posted on your progress. We're here to help motivate and push each other. so when your feeling a little under the weather, just give us a shout, we're here for each other.
Now today I feel above fantastic! I feel energized, and recharged. I went for a walk this morning and it feels good, gave me that extra umph I need to wake up. I don't know how i'll do on weigh in tommorrow, but that's okay, I am focused on the end result of 35 lbs.
So at my job they have this program that they pay you to lose weight. So I went in to weigh in yesterday, and you have to lose 10 lbs to get 100 bucks, after that they pay you $10 a pound. That's a whole other motivation factor. I'm feeling good today.0 -
Hi there! I'm Kelly, and I have to little stubborn miracles myself. My daughter who will be 4 and my son 2. They definitely keep me on my toes. I am giving myself a deadline of June 15 to lose the extra 30 lbs so I can finally look good in a swimsuit when we go on our boating trips, and for the first time we are going to go on a big vacation so I want to look good for that. Instead of the short fat munchkin that I am. lol.0
