225/135 Max-Rep Bench Press "Club"

After this Sunday (11/23/14) , I finish my current program and usually between programs I take a week or two off (this time only one week off) to test out new exercises (or variations) and to test my maxes on the big three. No different this time around, except I am not going to test my deadlift.
I was thinking that I also want test my 225 rep max (in addition to my 1RM on a separate day) on the bench press because I have never done that before. Sounds fun. I'm guessing I will press around 20 times. 225 seems like
I am not sure what would work for women in a test similar to this. 135#? Thoughts?

Wow, 225x20? You must have a pretty strong bench. I'm assuming somewhere in the 335-350lb range?
For a woman, 135 might be a little heavy as a comparison. Maybe 10-20lbs lighter than that I'm guessing.0 -

At least 350 I would think, When I was hitting 300x1 I could only do 225x9 times.

For me I always found that what I could bench for 10 reps I could always add 75lbs and hit it for one...0

I read the title wrong at first thinking it was a 225 max on bench. Look at OP pic and said :noway:f or that low of a max. I am no where near 225x20 bench.0

185x10 for me did not equal doing anything 225 before.

I think 135 lbs is pretty high for max rep. It varies so much among women. I maxed out at 190 a few months ago and a max rep at 135 I might be able to do 8-10 reps. I'm not the typical build for women though and have seen very few women at my gym even attempt to lift heavier weights. I think women could lift a lot more but are scared to try.
It might be better to base it on a percentage of body weight maybe.

Now it is more its at 245 but I can also do 195x10. Those calculators always are not on for me. Makes no sense.
225 was a big obstacle for me to get through.

Your rep and max is right about what mine are. My goal is a 205 for 8 and eventually 10. So far, I've only done 205 for 8 on a good day0 -

The reason why I brought the 225 up is that yesterday I was trying to find out if my biceps were as big as Clay Matthews (Packers were winning so I got bored) and after reading combine stats of other football players when they were rookies, a stat they frequently gave was the 225 rep max.0 -
185 rep is a better measurement for most men that workout. Repping 225 is very difficult for the majority of the population no matter what the Misc. section on bb forums tells you.0

for some guys 225 clearly is easy lol. I'm not sure it would really represent the 'average' standard by which to measure oneself as a guy, even amongst relatively experienced lifters.

Funny, My all time high is 315 and my current 1rm is 275. I can hit 225 about 10-12 times.

225 is NFL combine, 185 is NBA combine.

20x225 sounds like a much higher 1RM than 275. I've been up as high as 365, and not sure I could hit 20 at 225 ever (not that I care, high reps are for people who hate their muscles anyway).0
