She admitted to having an ED. You must have missed her post.
i'm referring specifically to thinking that she has an ED because she wants to lose 30 pounds based on looking at that photo.0 -

Thank you so much for this. I agree completely
Np. I posted it twice by accident. If I were you I would walk away and not post again in this thread. That's the only way to let it die. The auditioners will just go find their next victim when they realize you're no longer listening. Feel free to add me as a friend, if you like. And just be healthy and positive. I see tons of people on here who want to lose weight for a wedding or vacation. But Spring Break is somehow absurd? I think that whatever reason someone has for wanting to get in better health or feel better about themselves is legitimate and his/her business.
I'm sure you will lose some weight by your goal date and feel great. Even if it's not the full amount, it will be something to celebrate. Good luck.-10 -

keep on white knighting and ignoring the fact that she has now admitted to the ED that many of us suspected based on both her words and our experience with people similar to her in this forum and others.
keep calling people auditioners while you coddle a young girl right into the arms of unhealthy life choices.
keep pretending that suffering from an ED is a legitimate reason to restrict yourself from eating enough food, or foods that you enjoy.
keep on, keeping on. hey, it takes all types, right?0 -

How do you feel about whole milk?
ETA: which, just to be clear, I'm fairly certain has similar amounts of lactose as skim milk. I'm positive the amounts in each are > 0.
whole milk? is that sort of like meat steak?0 -
Let's try this from a different angle.
If OP is trying to exist solely on 'whole' 'clean' foods, is no one going to tell her about overdosing on vitamins?
Because hey that's a thing. You think you're doing your body a favor by only eating 1100 calories worth of broccoli, carrots, kale or eggs or whatever, but you could just be setting yourself up for liver failure later on.
So eat the damn pizza and space out those nutrients a bit, mmkay? There I just gave you an excuse so you HAVE to eat the pizza. Even the most die-hard of vegans need their "unhealthy" food fixes0 -

There is still lactose in skim milk though. Skim milk is milk that has had the fat removed, but it still has lactose. Products like Lactaid however are milk without lactose.
I thought lactaid has some lactose but it also had the lactase added in so you could digest the lactose?0 -
whole milk? is that sort of like meat steak?
Fair point.
But in this crazy world where turkey bacon is a thing, I accept and even appreciate the seemingly unnecessary redundancy to avoid any possible confusion.0 -

EVERYTHING I KNOW IS A LIE.
Welcome to MFP, where someone can call you Mean, Rude, Hateful, and generally awful things and then accuse you of bullying and the points flags don't matter.

buuuuut, skim milk still has lacose. and so does that greek yogurt you ate before bed rather than a slice of pizza.0 -

According to their site it's Lactose Free (home page...didn't read any further than that).

ultimately the same thing. lactose intolerant people, like myself, can drink it virtually worry free.0 -
i think we've gone back and forth so much that we're all missing the basic point. the reason you should have eaten the pizza is because you wanted to eat the pizza. and we know that you wanted pizza, not cereal covered in watermilk because you created an account and with your first post you created a thread titled "I WANT PIZZA SO BAD" (caps are yours).
our main point, before you called a bunch of people fatasses, was that if you want pizza, it's okay to eat pizza, instead of settling for a dinner of cereal, fruit slices and sadmilk.
Dude, I gotta say thank you for the late night lolz. I hate skim milk (2% for me) and will now refer to it as sadmilk.0 -

It hardly matters, I was just curious. I think last I read the ingredients it has the lactase in it, but you know how food labeling goes!I see tons of people on here who want to lose weight for a wedding or vacation. But Spring Break is somehow absurd? I think that whatever reason someone has for wanting to get in better health or feel better about themselves is legitimate and his/her business..
Not when the reason causes them to want to lose 30 lbs in 2 months and they are only 15 lbs over "normal" BMI to begin with. That can't be just their business when they are putting it out on a public forum. The things you need to do to yourself to even attempt that sort of goal are simply not healthy in any way, shape or form. We can and should continue to point out the dangers of going to fast and that sort of goal-setting.

You can eat pizza! I do Domino's because their website has a nutrition calculator for all their foods so you can figure out exactly how many calories you're eating per slice. You shouldn't be denying yourself foods you want. That causes binges! Just learn how to eat it within your calorie limits.0

well... not exactly how many calories per slice. The stoners that cut my pizza never cut it even it seems. But you can come close (only pointing this out because some newer people really won't know that restaurant/pizza/fast food websites can only be estimates because of the irregularity of the food. Some slices will have more cheese/toppings than others, for example, or be a bit bigger. But it's way better to have the ballpark than guess blind!)0 -

Holy...
I only got to page 2 and the OP was throwing a temper tantrum (as well as doing the 'oh noes teh ebil white bread'). Although, I have never seen a pizza made from bread. (well, unless it was on a nice crispy baguette).

From OP:barefoot_brunette wrote: »So what I've learned from this chat:
1.) eat when I'm not hungry because lets face it, that calorie mark is the only thing that matters
2.) white bread is good for you
3.) eating pizza cookies and ice cream everyday will aid in my weightloss goal
4.) there is no "good" or "bad" food. (Apple vs brownie. Doesn't matter it's not good or bad.)
And 5.) adults find way meaner pictures to send than middle school girls
Summary of most of the responses:1. No one told you to eat when you're not hungry. But it is important to get enough calories to sustain your body's needs. And 1000-1200 isn't going to cut it.
2. See #4. It's certainly not "bad" for you.
3. Actually, it will. If you're craving pizza or ice cream and can fit it into your calorie goals, eating it when you want it will probably keep you from binging later. One MFP user, Sarauk2sf, ate ice cream every day while she lost and she's got one of the hottest bodies around.
4. Correct. "Good" and "bad" are not nutritional terms. They are emotional ones, and vilifying food never ends well.
5. This may be true. But you did call us fatasses, so there's that.
And then later....
"I don't have an eating disorder. Stop saying that!"
And then later...
"I did have an eating disorder. Not anymore."
She was sincerely encouraged to get some help.0 -

I know a guy who was so poor growing up his mom would put ketchup on a slice of bread and call it pizza. *looks around* I should be in bed by now.0 -
I didn't read this whole thread before I posted, but now that I have...wow. Wtf? It's good to know that the 64lbs I've lost so far while eating pizza occasionally (and keeping it within my calorie limit!) are going to magically come back just because I don't "eat clean". I forgot that being a teenager means that you know more than everyone else. And thanks for calling us all fatasses for being successful in our weight loss while eating what we love.0

You do not need brownies and sweets...your body can get GOOD sugars from fruits. And if you think that white bread, which is made in a factory from the same stuff they make glue from, isn't bad for you, you should probably talk to a half-way knowledgable person.
You seem to know A LOT about healthy eating, so why are you on MFP to lose weight? If you are concerned about the pizza being dirty and not "clean" - run it under the water...use some soap and your good to go. "Clean" Pizza.
You sound like your going down a path of disordered eating and guilt with your food. Too bad.
