"Once I cut (blank) out of my diet, I lost weight"

Extra calories. And lame excuses like thinking one thing or another was the sole reason for my lack of losing weight.0

calories.
wait, i wasn't first? DANGIT!0 -

beer and soda...which resulted on consumption of less calories...which is the only thing that matters. I drink vodka and diet tonics instead when I'm in a cut and just have the occasional soda these days in general...I'm kind of a soda snob now and I only really like the craft brewed sodas...don't much care for the Cokes and other commercial sodas anymore.0

Once I cut out dieting, I lost weight. Honestly! Dieting is the WORST and least effective way to permanently lose weight.0

Unrealistic Expectations.
Once I got rid of them, once I realized that one pound a week or less was to be expected and normal, and that weight loss isn't linear, it was a snap!

I cut out my ignorance and denial of what my actual calorie intake was and became slightly more active.
I don't feel like I cut stuff out though but more like I added things to my life- positive thinking, knowledge, strength, flexibility, better health, stress management, weight loss.

Of course. But cut the calories that were easy to go overboard with and let the poster feel satiated on far fewer calories.
You gotta cut some, why not those? It works *really* well for a lot of people.0 -

Calories. I still eat the same food I ate 53 lbs ago just less and with more nutritional balance. It's really that easy.0
