Glass of chocolate soy milk and some vitamins early this morning. About to have my 'second breakfast' of a Kashi honey almond granola bar and a cup of black tea.

Today I had two low-fat nutrigrain waffles with a smear of peanut butter with water.

Normally I have a tortilla filled up with a scrambled egg, some diced Canadian bacon, and a slice of cheese. That's my favorite breakfast. I might even have that for lunch today!

Coffee with real sugar and a little bit of half and half. Instant grits, individual packs are only 100 calories. The sodium is a bit high but I just have to watch the sodium the rest of the day.

I tried something new: an open face spicy egg sandwich. One slice sourdough, topped with 1 tsp mayo mixed with cayenne, avocado and fried egg. it was yummy!
  • Most mornings at home it's Irish Oatmeal with blueberries & Benefiber (a little Truvia for sweetener), 1 slice Natures Own Whole Wheat Double Fiber bread with small amount of whipped butter (better than the chemical concotions), and 8 oz Smart Balance 1% milk with Omega 3.

6 oz yogurt and two slices whole wheat toast with peanut butter. =)

Usually I'll have 2 eggs topped with hummus and turkey bacon or 6 oz yogurt with various fruit and a sprinkle of granola on top... changing it up today!

I love almonds so it was easy for me to transition to almond milk. I also think it has a sweetness to it. I'm having some lactose issues, so I'm laying of regular milk.

Almond milk has lower calories, but less protein.

when I was consuming almond milk, I felt like it was the closest match to real milk on the market. It had a similar taste and texture, and was WAY better on both accounts than soy or rice milk.
