I cooked some bacon in my cast iron skillet yesterday, I normally bake it, but I had this skillet full of bacon grease, so what do I do?
I fry my weeks worth of chicken thighs in it.0 -
Confession: Yesterday all I ate were two burritos and three ice cream sandwiches. I stayed within my calorie goal but half of them were from ice cream sandwiches!0

Also, I haven't had soda in over two years... but every few months I dream about drinking it. Had the last dream a few days ago. I have dreams where I'm convinced I smoked a cigarette and I wake up mad and disappointed in myself. They're extremely vivid dreams. I only occasionally have an urge to smoke a cigarette again as well.
I do this with alcohol! I quit drinking about three months ago and I have dreams where I drink so much I black out and I wake up freaking out! It's so crazy!
I quit drinking 5 years ago, and still have these from time to time.
I quit booze over 3 years ago, and I still have these on occasion! Usually involves ridiculous stuff like being drunk at work & getting fired, or getting hammered at a big family event...SUCH a relief when I wake up and realize it was a dream!
Isn't that crazy?! I think it's a sign from the universe (or whatever you believe in) reinforcing your decision to give it up.0 -

Another confession- I hate the word atheist. I don't use it often.It sounds like I am drilling into my kids heads "there is no God!" "When you die you go nowhere!". I don't do that, I swear.

I was raised Christian, Christian school, church everytime the doors were open (Baptist at that). I've slowly gone from identifying as Christian, to deist, to somewhere between agnostic/atheist currently. **but I'm secretly thinking about converting to the church of the flying spaghetti monster**
Welp, I was raised in a family of very religious people, and I felt that in order to be a good person, I had to be religious too. And I really did try my best to be a believer. Look, act, and sound like one.
When I discovered later that I could be a good person without being a churchgoer, I felt relief. I still have morals, values, and a conscience.
My husband comes from a strict fundamentalist baptist upbringing, and my family is catholic with a few outspoken evangelicals in the mix.
I respect my family's choice of belief. I would never critisize any person's faith. My son for example, believes in heaven.
He heard about heaven somewhere, and is convinced that when you die you become an angel, and live on a cloud.
My husband believes that the history channel show "ancient aliens" is on to something, and that Jesus was obviously an extra terrestrial.
I see no reason to argue. I don't believe in Jesus at all, so I have no dog in the fight!

Well, I'm not one of those "start a diet and/or exercise program on Monday only" people, but it does seem a bit weird to start a plank challenge on the Friday before a holiday, so yes, I say you can just say you did it and pick it back up on Monday.0 -
When I first started working out, I couldn't get through a normal workout video so I did senior citizen workouts until I built up my endurance. I know...embarrassing.0

Confession:
These people who are into outlandish conspiracy theories really baffle me. I don't know how some of this stuff can even be believed and I question the judgment of those who do. My personal theory is that they would rather believe things are beyond their control and it gives them a sort of excuse to not live up to their full potential because "the powers that be" are secretly keeping them down - when in reality it is their mindset that is holding them back.0 -

Me too! Seriously, I have beautiful clothing that I truly love and I'm 27ish pounds down. My old clothes is starting to fall off of me. I know in my heart that I'm supposed to donate it or get rid of it but... I love it! It feels so dumb to admit that but it is true.
I'm still committed but I'll be sad to see some of my lovely clothing go.
I have had my favorite stuff tailored. If it's good quality it's worth it.
My mother is actually a seamstress, but because of this I know it isn't worth it for certain items ... for example, a suit jacket will have the front pockets and seams in the wrong place if you're going from a size 18 to a 12 or 14. But, I do have her fix some things, like shortening the shoulders on a shirt to get some more life out of it.
I'm working on getting out of debt at the same time I'm trying to lose weight (I know, overkill much?) and I'm trying to remind myself that the world won't end if I make an exception to buying an all-new wardrobe when I reach my target size and weight. I'm saving a few bucks here and there along the way, but with so many money goals, it won't be a large enough lump sum to go on the shopping spree I'm imagining. It's simultaneously motivating and demotivating lol.0 -

Confession: I was expecting my weight to be up today because this past weekend was Easter, and my birthday. I had two dinners out, one night of drinking, and one day of chocolate eggs and turkey dinner with all the fixings planned. Well, my entire family got the stomach flu so I missed all of that. I'm down a few pounds and I logged it as a loss. I only log my low weights so even though my weight will swing up when I can eat again, I'm still going to pretend I earned it.0

This reminds me of when a friend of mine in high school found that her mother had bought the Jane Fonda pregnancy workout (yes, the '80s) and freaked out for a while that her mother was pregnant until she finally mentioned it to her mother who explained that she just assumed it would be an easier one to start with.0 -

Do they not realize how dangerous that is? Put on some sunscreen!
I take notice of people's sizes, but not to judge .... more like admiration. I wish I could not give a damn in a swimsuit, but I won't even wear a one-piece suit to the beach.
I do judge the living hell out of people who are beet red by the end of the day.0 -

I feel that so much. I love swimming. Seriously, seriously love it, but I haven't been swimming on the couple of occasions where I've had the opportunity because I would have to dress in something other than extremely over sized clothing. I know that the over sized clothing does not actually make anyone think I am skinny, but I become extremely uncomfortable if I feel any of my clothing is tight at all.
