Little dog is doing well. Dislocated rib, couple of sutures and a lot of pain meds. Lucky dog.

@sufferlandrian Normally, I go alone to get the ferret food but I took my Tessa-essa to Petco today because she seemed a bit more down than usual. We met a woman there who found a scrawny abandoned dog just off the highway. She said she was getting some supplies but she already has 4 dogs and can not keep her. She asked if I knew if anyone was interested.

So tomorrow, Tessa and I will be doing a meet and greet on some neutral ground to see if they like each other. The whole family is very excited.

Well, everyone except the cats....

I used to work night shift, moved to swings, and today my captain scheduled me from 2pm to 3am...so...can I pretend to be a night shifter for a few hours?

2 hour shift, 1 hour and 48 minutes down.

Swear to Cernonnous, if someone calls about a leaking fridge that someone forget to shut, I'm going to take my Security "Officer" job TOO seriously, and start a full blown "investigation", just to kill time :)

I just read the "fitting food/drink in" posts that I missed on my days off. Beer is what kills me too. I'm a beer nerd and can normally stay under my calorie goals but damn...a couple beers really add up. I'm very lazy and instead of exercising more...I just plan the rest of my calories around the beer or bacon cheeseburger I plan to consume later! I'll skimp all day to have that burger/beer. Probably not the most ideal but hey...it works.

this is so me as well....they do say that its the CICO that's the most important...so I say if you plan well enough you can fit most things in.....but plan ahead to see what else to eat round that treat....the hard bit is having only the 2 or 4 your planned....lol.....I find it has helped me to find other meals to fill me....making me eat healthier stuff like porridge in a morning to fill me....get me through to beer o clock.....

Why does the wall plug to the IV pump always go out at 3 AM? Now I have extension cords stretched across the floor.

I find it really difficult to be motivated to do anything after work. I'm on 7:30p-8ish am. After that long I'm just not feeling it. That's when it's time to go home and drink.

I'm the opposite. I can't wait to hit the gym after work. On planned gym days I just go to work already wearing my work out attire. Luckily for me, my workplace is pretty laid back in terms of a dress code for us graveyarders.

@gchrissimp - I really hear you on that one but trying to get up and workout before work is even worse. Sometimes if it's slow, I can work out while at work. Can you work out during a break?

I now get my workout in before work. I also try to walk Tessa before work.

@sufferlandrian My mother used her ultimate veto power and we did NOT get to do the meet and greet. I am sad but the other dog is young and I am sure she will find a good home.

Something will happen, I know it. We will some way, some how, find the perfect pack-mate for Tessa that everyone will love.

Stuck at work 16 hours today... anyone else still around?

Working out before work, I don't feel I have warmed up enough at any point, usually if anything I go after work. Most of the time I do a jog during my lunch break.
