I am so grateful for all the encouragement that gets passed back and forth here! Without friends to encourage you, it seems to go something like this in the mornings....

OK so I finally got an Android and loaded RunKeeper so I'm switching from tracking minutes to actually tracking my miles now. I'm going to set a goal of getting in 40 before end of the month.

C25K Week 5 Day 3. I did it. I know this is a big deal to everyone who does this program and it totally is!!! I only did a mile and a half in the 20 minutes, but that's okay. I'm THRILLED that I ran a mile and a half without stopping. Seriously, I haven't been able to stop smiling all morning. I will say this, though, I had to do it on the treadmill because the humidity here is outrageous right now. We're talking 90% humidity and 80* before 7 am. It's brutal, so indoor run it was.

Got back home this evening and found a slew of encouragement from ya'all! ( @shanaber @7lenny7 @skippygirlsmom @RunTimer @melaniefave41 @ddmom0811 ) :o Oh how I love you guys! As you all experienced, by reading everyone's posts, today was Hot and Humid! The race was a tough one. I hoped for a better time, but ran slower than I usually do even with the course being flatter than a pancake! 13.05 min/mile = 2 hours 43 minutes. I praise the LORD for causing me to make it over that finish line though.

@unrelentingminx - great going on your longest run! Keep it up!
@Ohhim - so glad your knees feel better with just one day rest. You surely "kneed" them with all you that running you do and all you have planned to do in the future!
@5BeautifulDays - Welcome! You are surely off to a great start!
@kristinegift - You sure gave that KT tape a workout today! It didn't last, but you did! WTG Sweetie!
@Pandora_and_her_box - Nice new longest run- 15.44miles! Great job!
@WhatMeRunning - You are really pushing out those miles again this month! An inspiration!!!
@melaniefave41 - lovely trail photos. Those 2 Boy Scouts did a great job.
@Elise4270 - I've missed out a few times this summer on cooler morning runs and feel the same as you did. Maybe we should get the "Nuisance on Wheels" alarm clock that jumps off your nightstand and starts whizzing around the room and making noise like a cross between R2D2 and a deranged Zhu Zhu Pet? :s
    Added the 13.1miles for today

By that chart, my running name would be "Blabber Mouth Von Streaker" - that's quite a mouthfull. Can I go by nickname instead of the passport version of my first name? "Niggles von Streaker" sounds at least slightly cooler B)

    Thanks all for the welcome!

Went to a Fun Run yesterday and did a mile, but it was so slow (my kids kept wanting to walk) that I'm not counting it. Ran again today, a little farther than I expected. I was on a treadmill after several days outdoors--it was just too hot to run this morning.

    7/2 4.5 @ 12:42
    7/3 4.5 @ 13:58
    7/4 5 @ 11:54

    7/6 4 @ 12:00
    7/8 5.5 @ 11:42
    7/9 6.5 @ 11:41
    7/10 3 @ 10:47
    7/11 2.5 @ 12:54

7/13 3.5 @ 11:55/15 splits (half was walking with friends)
    7/14 3.75 @ 12:40
    7/15 6.25 @ 13:40
    7/16 2 @ 15:00 (walking with friends)
    7/17 4.25 @ 13:41
    7/18 4.75 @ 13:24

    7/20 5.25 @ 11:57

I'd like to increase my long run this week to 7 miles. It would be better if that were outside, but unless the weather changes, I think I'm going to be indoors this whole week. :(

Hubby and I took his daughters to my grandfather's at the coast this weekend. We went swimming on Sunday and didn't get eaten by sharks, so that's a bonus. They did go fishing Saturday night and saw a 7-8 foot one at the fishing pier though. We may head back down there this weekend as well since it's the girls' vacation week with their dad and my grandfather likes visitors. I have got to find a nice place for at least a short run that's not too far a drive from his house. Got home today and got 2.75 miles in-so far giving me a total of 24.25 miles.

I've been enjoying reading about everyone's runs and exploits! It's helping to keep me motivated.
