What SMALL thing did you do today to help with your journey?

We all know losing weight isn't about dieting, it's about life style changes, and the appropriate way to make those changes is usually baby steps to help prevent you from reverting back to your old ways. So let's keep a running thread of small changes we made today that'll help us in the long run.
I've been getting better about ordering salads for lunch (I guess it really isn't all rabbit food...). Cheese is a weakness of mine, and a goal is to cut down on cheese and dairy alike, so today, I ordered my lunch with no cheese. (It came with feta. I don't even like feta that much, but I would have eaten it.)

I pack my snacks, breakfast and lunches. But a new thing I added was a 100 calorie fudgsicle after dinner for a treat. And believe me, I look forward to it. Lol!12

Today I weighed out my breakfast (bagel w/ cream cheese and mandarin oranges) by grams instead of "eyeballing" the amount like I normally do. Weighed down to the gram! I read it really helps when trying to buckle down on logging and getting the most accurate measurements.13

Yesterday we cut out all bread - had cold cut rollups on lettuce leaves. Today going to make sure I get my water in and making "snack packs" (celery sticks, sliced apple, peanut butter, grapes) for the hubby and I.5

Just wanna stop by and say that I LOVE this post for motivation! It's not about getting it 100% right every day, because that's impossible, but if we all pick out one thing from each day that we did to get us a little closer then it will help us to stay motivated.
TODAY I hit the gym for a morning work-out (although it wasn't as "hard" as I would have liked...) and am staying below my calorie goal for the day6 -
made sure to walk twice today during work and get my two miles in. at 32 weeks pregnant I've got to do what I can to stay active.7

good job on the salad!! yay!
I walked during my break.. I will be getting off here soon to walk again. Little things every day add up! You are doing great! keep at it!

My small thing today is that I'm letting myself take a break. I'm usually so on it about hitting my 10K+ steps a day (I'm super competitive) and recently have been trying to up my endurance level on my treadmill every evening. But I always run the risk of overdoing it and taking longer to recover because of that. Tonight, we'll be going to see stand-up comedian Brian Regan and I won't have time to jog or walk for any period of time. Instead of feeling like I'm failing, I'm choosing to think of it as a chance to recover from a super awesome workout last night, and a chance to relax and enjoy a show as a reward for my hard work.5

I stepped on the scale today and realized that my journey was over. 0.2 kg past my goal weight.23

Rest days are really important! It's easy to want to work out every day, but our bodies need breaks. Have a great time at Brian Regan's show!
I love this thread! It's all about those little habits that we change one by one.1 -

Oh man, it's so hard to give myself that chance, too! But that's what this is all about, rewiring my thoughts and approaches to things in order to build a healthier lifestyle. Thanks, guys!1 -
Co-worker bought pizza for the office... I had 1 slice to join in and saved my own lunch for later this afternoon. I also made sure to log my "indulgence".9
-
I've had four bottles of water so far today!3
-
I walked around my office building like 17 times during my downtime to get in my steps for the day! Didn't hurt that it's beautiful outside!!!5
-

Someone brought in 3 dozen fresh donuts to work today. Ok, I snitched a sliver of a bite. But instead of getting a whole donut, I grabbed my pack of carrots and my water bottle. Not easy, but I'm doing better than most days.15

I packed my workout bag this morning so I have no excuse to not stop at the gym on the way home from work tonight.4
-
Took short (10-15 minutes each) walks on all three of my breaks at work.2
-
There's a bag of chocolate kisses in the fridge at work and I only ate 4 today (88 calories). I'm working very hard on that elusive "moderation"!5
-
I pre-logged my junk food that I will inevitably eat tonight, and worked the rest of my day around it. I managed a really good day and hit my protein macro (which I struggle with), and I still have a treat to look forward to.5
-
Didn't eat the chips at a work meeting and then didn't eat any of my son's burger and fries!!2
-
Well...I over-over ate, with chocolates, caramels, and popcorn. But I also lifted all the weights so let's just hope I'm getting some good gains. Good gym performance with the extra fuel.1

My company buys us lunch every day, which is awesome, but it's so tempting to order something ridiculous and unhealthy. We're usually given two options - "regular" and "healthy." Today we're ordering from a place that's similar to Chipotle, and they have amazing rice, beans, guac, sour cream... ugh so good, but I always overeat it and feel like crap after. So... I went with the healthy place. Looking forward to my grilled chicken and roasted brussell sprouts today! I'll try not to cry too much when my cubicle neighbor pulls out her burrito...5

Eat more slowly, it helps a ton!1

Anyone working on small changes today?0
-
I got in a good workout of shoveling snow for 30 minutes. Who needs a gym?1
-
Cheese is my kryptonite as well! My small step for today was to make sure I cooked a healthy meal for dinner last night, with enough left over for a healthy lunch today! Meal prep and planning is KEY!0

Someone gave us a huge bag of candy. I did not eat any because it would have be a slippery slope I would have went back for just one piece many times. I felt good about saying no thank you!2
-
Checked out the local fitness center2

There's a cheese platter in my office kitchen. I thought, maybe just one... but it wouldn't end up being one, it would be a lot. So I took a banana and am hiding from the kitchen for the rest of the day.7
