What SMALL thing did you do today to help with your journey?

I'm prepping for our hike on Friday by making my dog a backpack so he can carry his own things. It's a small thing since it's not necessary to have but it's uplifting to do. I'll also take him on a long-ish walk later to work on his training more - 2 yr old 90lb german shepherd so it's got to be right. He's never been hiking with us
I haven't been able to hike in awhile first because of time (incredible devastating stressful situation thrown at us), then my back and finally the weather here in the last month or two lol.
I'm so freaking happy to be planning this because a hike leaves me feeling strong and motivated and elevates my mood. Hiking is my happy place.3 -
I have not and will not eat chocolate today! Go me!1
-
I went walking for 30 min1

Decided to up my protein goal to 114 grams and decrease my sugar goal to 40 grams! My BIG step of the day was not getting my usual sugar-filled coffee.3

I've lost about 10 pounds now which is the point where I typically lose momentum and start gaining again, which is NOT going to happen this time, so I know I need to kick it into high gear. I got super inspired yesterday reading other people's NSV's (non-scale victories) on MFP, so finally got up the courage to start C25K again. And I didn't suck! Also trying to shave about 100 off my daily calorie intake for a little extra help. Baby steps!2

Bad night last night- had trouble sleeping. I am just struggling to not grab sugar and carbs. That's what got me here - replacing sleep with sugar0

Walked for a half hour before work today and am on track with my water (1/2 gallon at work, 1/2 gallon when I get home).2

I got my *kitten* to the gym after not going yesterday. I finally have energy today and my mood is fantastic. As a narcoleptic, every day that I don't go to the gym and push myself, I end up having poor energy and a sour mood.
Feeling great today though!
That's what it's all about, making those small changes to keep yourself happy, sane, an energized.0 -
I cleaned out my pantry and gathered ALL the chocolates and candy and put them out of sight!1
-
I actually made the hubby and I breakfast this morning! We're not morning people at all... But hopefully we can work on that0
-
I split my exercise time in two sessions so I could push myself a little further than normal!1

I attended my TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meeting today. About 20 ladies all on their own journey's, but like to be held accountable every week. So there is a weigh-in and program. It's about $3 a month with a $36 yearly fee. It's a great way to start the middle of the week!1

Today I decided to leave my desk and took a short walk.2

I have been eyeballing some chocolate in the cupboard. I'm not hungry.... I just think I want it... iv been putting it back and won't be looking at it again until after dinner. If I still want it and it fits in my calories I will have it.
This is a small change because in my old lifestyle I would have eaten alot of it.... had a huge dinner and gone back and eaten more...1 -
Got up early and did a workout before work. Took the stairs 8 flights, to a meeting.

I pre-logged all my meals last night in order to help mentally prepare since I just dropped down from 1340 to 1200 calories a day.1
-
I didn't give in to freshly baked cookie temptation even thought it was torture to know they were on a plate in the kitchen.0

Everyone's ordering Indian today, and I love me some chicken tikka masala over rice. Passed over it for a good salad instead.0

Today I'm reading about everyone's small healthy changes, which is inspiring me to make my own!1

My small thing today is simply logging in to MFP! I made my 200th day streak today, which pushes me to keep going.
My small thing yesterday was to compile and share progress photos showing my 50 lb loss so far! I'm not done losing, but looking at those pics and getting tons of support and encouragement from the MFP world makes it so much easier to keep going!1 -

I skipped the chili cook off at work!1

I didn't allow myself the Kit Kat I wanted. I knew I wouldn't just stop at one serving, which is two fingers.0

I took the stairs instead of the escalator, and I finally brought a water bottle to work so that I can stay hydrated more easily. For some reason I drink a lot more water if I have a water bottle vs. just getting a glass of water, even though the kitchen in my office is less than 20 feet from my desk.1

My friends and I are going to a new restaurant tonight. I checked out their menu online, and pre-tracked my meal to make sure I will stay under my calorie, carb, & sugar totals for the day. No room for wine or beer, but at least I know that BEFORE I imbibe. And now theoretically I can change my order, but that would require re-opening my tracker for the day & making changes, and I am too lazy to want to do that *_*0

I did not eat the cake but I so wanted to.1
-
I didn't stop for breakfast, I had a PB sandwich, half the calories I know I would have eaten (even without those delicious chic-fil-a hashbrowns).0
-
Took the dog on a 30 minute walk then worked in the yard and cleaned the house for about 2 hours0
-
I walked into a Whole Foods. I didn't buy anything, but I was walking.0
-
I didn't get any banana pudding and I really wanted some0
