Hit 80 down today, I know that's sort of a scale victory but to lose 80 before my 1 year anniversary is super exciting to me because that's what I was aiming for19

I haven't stepped on the scale yet since my initial reading. Going to try to weigh only once a month. My NSV is getting back in my jeans within a week of starting. I have a certain number on the scale that I will NEVER go back to and a certain size jeans/pants that I will not go over. I had given all my larger sized pants away and was down to one pair that still fit. Now I have 5. Woo who!9

Single digit pants! Tried a pair of 8s that were in the back of my closet they fit perfectly started at a 14

It was my birthday today so my wife and I went out to eat. I only went about 600 calories over. I've been very good for a long while about being under calorie so it was strange to just not worry for one day. I felt full after my meal in a way I haven't for a long time. It made me realize I used to do that to myself on average three to four times a week. No wonder I gained weight! It also made me realize I don't ever want to be that person again. I'm fully committed to this lifestyle change. It's good to see how far you have come.18

No longer fitting in maternity bras. Stopped breast feeding five months ago so must be weight loss5

I ran 4 miles non stop!! Even more excited because the Ozark "mountains" (huge hills) are no joke! I ran up 2 beast hills that I normally have to walk a little bit on.12

Happy birthday! I used to crave that really full feeling, and it was what I was aiming for every time I ate. Now when I do happen to eat that much, that feeling is pretty unpleasant.5 -

I had a similar experience over the weekend. Had 3 slices of pizza for lunch and I laid back on the couch feeling so gross. 6 months ago I wouldn't have batted an eye at that. I've learned the difference between feeling full and satisfied and feeling full from being way overstuffed. It's a good lesson to learn

I had the best NSV to date. A guy next to me and the lifeguard wanted to know how far I swim. I told him I don't know but I swim for 90 min. And then he said you're pretty fast! This from a 50 lb at loss where I couldn't excercise for longer than 10 min without passing out.19

@clh72569 have you found the MFP swimmer group? Pretty friendly bunch. And 90 minute pool sessions are impressive!2 -
I love this thread!!
A new lady at the gym was having her group induction and told the PT I looked awesome! (this was just before I broke the cable machine doing my shoulder workout, but still... )4 -
Went pants shopping the other day and found out that I am now a size 2! When I started I was an 8.15

Ran a mile without stopping. Caught my breath for a minute and did it again. When it comes to running I've come from "I can't," to "I won't," to "I'll try," and now I'm at, "I did," and "I will."29

Got a new dress in the mail. Excitedly put it on (yay! It fits!)... wore it to work today and just found out IT HAS A ZIPPER. I put it on by sliding it over my head!24

Embarrassed my daughter by climbing around on the playground equipment at the park with our two year old friend. A year ago I wouldn't have been able to fit or climb.14

I lost an inch in my hips/butt, which, according to one online body fat % calculator, made me no longer obese and now "acceptable" size. haha15

First deadlift in several months! 315x3 @ 150lb BW! Felt light!10

My husband ran cross country all through high school... He's doesn't run like he used to but he's always been active. This morning he joined me for my Week 2 Day 3 of Couch to 5K workout. I could keep pace with him during the running intervals. He was running the whole time and pushing the jogging stroller but I'll take it! We've been married 7 years and this was the first time we've run together - I love that this is something I can do with him now!

I ran (ran!) with my little nephew up and down the garden and didn't get knackered or out of breath. Summer will be so much fun if i keep this up!11

I went to Thunder Over Louisville last night. Every year we park in the same spot and walk to the same area to watch the fireworks/airshow. (About 3/4 a mile one way). Last year over that distance, I had to stop several times, and I even fell, rolled my ankle, and had to walk back on it at 331 lbs. This year, at 245 lbs I walked that distance, pushed a double seater stroller for half that distance with 100 lbs+ of kid/cargo, and was never tired or out of breath once.30

So haven't seen any movement in the scale for about 6 weeks, was getting frustrated. I was still noticing a difference in how my clothes fit, having a little more energy now I have added some exercise but was still disappointed and doubting if I was making any progress. Well, yesterday my NSV was going through a fence! You know those cut outs that are in chain link fences around sports fields? Last year I wouldn't just get caught up in them, I actually wouldn't fit through Yesterday, I went to my son's rugby game and without thinking, just tossed my chair through the opening, and then climbed through. It wasn't until I was on the other side I realized what I had done - woo hoo!18

Noticed this morning my PJ top is hanging off of me. It keeps riding off one shoulder. It was snug before I started losing weight two months ago.9

Good for you! I can totally relate - I love rice and couscous (potatoes not so much) and have really cut back on them. I just substitute a spinach and tomato salad - nearly every night. Will keep that up until I hit my goal weight.4
