That your feet can be fat. I know people talking about losing show sizes but I've noticed wearing sandals lately that since I've been losing I can see a lot more bones/veins/etc in my feet and ankles and it's so weird!11

Anybody doing alot of Running/ Walking/ Treadmill please remember to buy sneakers with lots of padding, AND BUY NEW ONES every 6 months or so. Old sneakers will destroy your feet/ knees/ hips. Bear in mind that you have probably decided to loss weight at your heaviest. Which means you will destroy them faster.16

That it will take a while for your brain to catch up with your body. I have lost almost 60 pounds since October and when I look in the mirror I can tell I've lost "some" weight but other people notice it more than I do.17

I didn't notice it until I was down 50 lbs and put the two pics in my profile pic side by side. It's amazing how your brain can mess with you.

You don't have to shift your entire body over to click the seatbelt in, just reach over grab it and click it in with your hand- no whole body movements necessary anymore. Never knew I use to do that.16

I wouldn't be so quick to knock psychology and emotions when it comes to eating.
I knew the correct foods to eat. I just didn't eat them. I ate to deal with stress, negative feelings, and so on. I'm glad you've never experienced this problem yourself, but some of us have. In fact, learning to recognize WHY I ate the way I did was ultimately what helped me change my eating habits.
As I said, I am not failing to acknowledge them, but I am pointing out that (imo) a lot of people who do eat poorly do so because they lack the knowledge. I believe psychological and emotional eaters are representing perhaps a smaller minority. A lot of people eat poorly, simply because they don't know how to eat well.
There are SO many subconscious emotional reasons many people over eat or choose unhealthy foods, much more common than you think.11 -
* the mix of wanting new clothes in every size you drop into but knowing you're just going to shrink out of them.
* that I'd be uncomfortable just sitting or laying around instead of doing something active for my body.
* that I'd become super aware of what's going into my mouth.
* "friends" who constantly tell you they liked you as you were but comment on how much better you look.
* "friends" who constantly ask how you're doing it but won't take your advice and then order fast food for lunch.
* how much more comfortable I'd become in my skin.
* that exercise and diet change has helped me regulate my sleep, instead of 5 or 6 hours I'm sleeping 8 or 9.10 -
That my heels would heal. 90 pounds ago, my heels use to always be cracked and painful. I chalked it up to dry skin. I just noticed that I no longer have that problem. I guess carrying all that extra weight took its toll on my back, knees and all the way down to my heels.29

I read this and checked my own heels - they are perfect now as well. I hadn't even realised . . .15 -
I think increased water intake, exercise and healthy eating helps with the heel cracking too6

I've always eaten fairly healthy, just waaaay too much of it!7 -
How different my glasses look on my face now that the shape of my face has changed a bit. People keep asking me when I got new glasses! Lol24

That you will start to check yourself out in reflective surfaces - and it's ok!
That you look even better than you think.
It might be hard to take a complement on how you look because you mightbe so used to not getting them!
You will have to strategically plan when you buy new clothes (esp undies)! Otherwise youll have a ton of clothes that only fit for a hot minute.
That you don't need to be "where you were back then" but just where you feel comfortable now. I could never get to my high school/early college weight without some serious sacrifices - and they wouldn't be worth it.
That you need to remember to feed your body, even when eating less seems better.
The scale doesn't define you. You can improve your body even if the scale doesn't dip down fast27 -

Mine slide down my nose now. I keep forgetting to have them tightened when I'm at the mall.2 -
I'm 56 and for the first time in two years my period came back! I've lost 23 pounds - has anyone else experienced this? Got the pre-game cramps and everything. Sorry for the TMI guys.15

Regardless of weight loss, any post-menopausal bleeding, whether a suspected period or just spotting, needs to be checked out. Please make an appointment with your doctor.
