hahaha this... My back is bruised from doing workouts on the floor because my shoulder blades stick out so much now.
No one told me how annoying buying clothes could be. It's great when they fit, but I keep going down sizes and needing to buy more and then not having a purpose for the larger sizes.
On a more positive note, I get hit on a lot more. Three different guys asked me out for Valentine's Day this year
I love and hate having to take in shirts. I hate it when shirts can't be taken in, but I love it when I'm able to take a shirt in without ruining the structure of the shirt.
I also love and hate shopping for new stuff. I love how good it feels buying new clothing that's smaller and fits, but I hate what it does to my wallet.7 -
That those "junk" foods just won't taste as good or be as satisfying as you remembered but that's okay because it keeps you on track. Oh and that you can't always see your own body clearly and will often have no idea what size you actually are...21

Mine slide down my nose now. I keep forgetting to have them tightened when I'm at the mall.
Seriously! I think I need to try some new frames but love the ones I have. I notice them slipping all the time lately - didn't think to try to get them tightened.
People tell you how inspirational you are.
People start wanting to talk to you about supplements, workouts, tricks, etc (I don't use supplements!! I lost it the hard way lol).
Word gets out about your weight loss. Coworkers I haven't seen in a while have emailed me to congratulate me.
You still view yourself as being bigger and when you try on smaller clothes (in my case mediums) you think there's no way it'll fit, but then it DOES.
I actually enjoy painting my own toenails. lol
I look forward to finding old pictures of me that I can be horrified by to be so proud of where I am now (and I don't shy away from pictures anymore).

I've finally gotten back to somewhat "normal" periods after almost 5 years of struggling. I never thought I would actually be excited to get a period!

I have to agree with those bemoaning how cold you would feel. Our Winter is just starting this side, and I'm already forced to wear much thicker clothing/jackets than previous years.
How difficult it becomes to accept compliments
How warped your own perception of your body is - my middle sister has always been the smallest of us kids, but for the first time, I am now weighing less than her. Although I know what the scale says, and I know I am slightly taller than her, in my minds eye she still LOOKS much thinner than I do... (It may also be that due to distance and work commitments we only see each other every other month or so, so my mind just can't get a handle on the change...)8 -

Probably because of the decreased estrogen and you're probably eating less bad estrogen filled foods.
Nonetheless I do agree you should see your doc.

Are you also in your 50's? The average age of menopause is 52. It is defined as going 12 months without any bleeding. If a woman then spots or has a period, she needs to be seen by a doctor. It could be normal and due to hormonal changes, but it could also be a sign of cancer.5 -

This. I can't bear the thought of eating out, and pretty much refuse to. Drives my husband nuts but there is no way I'm going to ruin an 88lb weight loss. I've come too far16 -

I still love eating out and have to for work on a regular basis. I just carefully plan it and pre-log on the basis of the menu that is on line.
My realisation is that I am noticing that my waistline is changing, not just getting smaller (which what the intention is), but also the position changes. I think it has to do with the fact that my core/posture has improved so much that I sort of lifted the top part of my torso out of my waist again.
As I sew most of my own clothes and I thought I had noticed it in my new changed measurments, in that I have to do less alterations on my swayback. I kind of dismissed it as a case of well there is less bottom to take care of so it makes sense. Yet today I am wearing a top that I made two years ago (then nicely fitted, now nice loose on a warm day) and I an see the waist being a little to high for my liking and what I would have intentionally sewn. It has a bodice and peplum. Today I would have sewn the bodice part 1cm longer :-)7 -

Looking forward to getting my "hallow"4 -
That I would (still) have no idea how to dress myself.
I've always tried to just blend in and find things that fit decently or were loose. It didn't really matter what they looked like or if I liked them because there often wasn't much choice involved. So now I have no idea what my style is or where I want to buy clothes because there are so many stores I just never fit into before.
I'm really excited that I can fit into clothes that aren't plus-sized and that I've been able to clear out a lot of my closet, but I don't know what I want to get as replacements. I'm still buying basic black trouser pants and ugly shirts or shapeless dresses for work, but at some point I'll probably want some cute fitted skirts and jackets. Do I want to keep wearing cheap t-shirts and jeans when I'm casual, or should I go crazy with prints and accessories? And this will probably happen at least two more times (to some degree), since I'm still planning on losing another 50 pounds. It's a weird new stress to have.19 -
That I would get almost embarrassed about the amount of compliments that I'm getting on how good I'm looking and how much weight I've lost!20

I felt the same way for a long time, I ended up taking a good friend of mine that is into fashion shopping with me. I went to the dressing room and one store and she just kept bringing me stuff to try on. She was way honest with me on what looked good, which helped. It also helped that she brought me stuff to try on that I would have looked right past in the store. It taught me to try on things even when I don't think they will look good on me or were out of my old comfort zone.13 -

That's not a bad idea. I need to find a willing friend who actually likes to shop!5 -
My hips bones and bum bones are sometimes uncomfortable when I'm lying or sitting down. I've also stopped waking my boyfriend up snoring all the time6

And that liberating feeling when you manage to wear those pants/trousers that doesn't fit you back then.
That's when the realization hits me! 'I've lost weight!' Lol9 -
