I have learned that there are some people out there with mean streaks a mile long with no other obvious purpose of being here besides putting that mean streak to use. I have also learned that some people are just weirdos. I think I see a common trend among many of the people who post often, and that is...either loneliness or boredom in their real lives perhaps. No judging, just a guess on my part. I think the forums are a fun way to reach out and connect with people as long as you are aware that, like in real life, there are good people, so-so people, and asshats. I think a very important lesson I have learned is that since this is an online community most people view others as disposable and easily replaceable. Those who truly care are indeed special.
Spot on. Love you girl!

I guess I really didn't know this was a thing.. I feel like I have some great MFP friends!

I've learned that I suck at the whole Wall Love thing.
I don't have enough synonyms for "Babe", "Sweets", "Hot Stuff", and "Sexy Face" in my vocabulary.
I guess I just suck at that whole competitive trying to out flirt others kind of thing.2 -

I've learned that the Fun & Games forums can be fun, as expected. If support is needed this isn't where you come. (Oh, and the whole some people are vicious thing. That too.)1

I've learned not to get too offended when "friends" delete me. I also learned where they live. (Evil laugh)

Today I learned that I'm very undisciplined, and I really shouldn't spend 80+% of my work day on these forums. yikes...4:00 already.....1

I've learned people will love you one minute and hate you the next. There is a clique of people and they don't let anyone else in.5

People always talk about cliques. Where are the cliques? Am I in a clique?2

Real friendships are possible here....handicapped by distance and not seeing each other face to face....and difficult to cultivate....but it is possible to have real true friends in a cyber world....8

That is a truckload of bulls**t right there....
Nope..we all loves ya0 -
I've learned that it's counter productive to actually count on someone on here. I'll support them as much as they need, but I'm not going to assume they will be there for me if I need them. That makes me appreciate the time I interact with them for what it is...they may be gone five minutes from now.1

I've learned I have some true friends, others...not so much.4

Theres some super sweet and awesome people on here for the most part ...but every so often like clock work ..a hater shows up to stir and cause discontent...its always a relief when they disappear .. (trolls) people ..1

Mostly what I've learned: People take this shet too seriously5

There are a few ladies you need to watch out for0

I've learned I'm probably just as pathetic as the rest of these fools.
Edit: and I'm kidding, you're not fools or pathetic LMAO!5 -

So true. People come and go and you invest time into them yet rarely get the same in return. But I guess it's like giving a gift..better to give than receive2
