Went to the dry cleaner and started talking to the owner about baseball. We were talking about a pitcher and he goes to me, yeah he's lean like you but a lot taller. I still don't see myself as lean emotionally, even though logically I realize I am25

Love this. My 17 year old daughter and I have been swapping shirts, etc. for a while now. She even gave me back clothes I gave here years ago when I was too fat. I especially like the flannel jammie pants i got back!!12 -

Got called 'skinny' by a co-worker yesterday. I know I am not really skinny but it was kinda nice to hear it actually. Skinny. Wow.23

two years ago as a brand-noob lifter i went proudly off with my (i thought) new muscles to get a massage, and the therapist discouraged me by saying my muscles were 'dry'.
a few months ago i took the same muscle group for some tlc, and the therapist said 'you have really great muscle tone.' of course in between there's been creatine, which does miraculous things for my hydration levels. but i'm still taking it.11 -
This isn't really a victory I guess but I just noticed that when sitting at my desk in my chair my legs don't really touch anymore. Not a huge deal since it's pretty cold here now. But for summer when it's hot and I was wearing a dress that was always uncomfortable!22

Mine is that despite having sleep issues and basically eating everything in sight this week, I've worked out everyday and have stayed under my calories!!23

Last week I ran past a group of my husband's male friends. I was was hoping they wouldn't notice me in my sweaty-stinky-end of-workout state, but they all turned and stared and then said "Hi, Jen!" A bit awkward, but I quickly forgot about it.
My husband told me a few days later that they apologized for "checking out your wife." They had seen me a couple blocks away and thought there was a new hottie in town. It wasn't until I got closer that they realized it their buddy's wife LOL!
shoulda told them to tell him to DEAL WITH THE REFRIGERATOR THING.

Ha! I'm actually considering asking one them to hook up my refrigerator. He's always helping them out with their projects. Time to return the favor.5 -
Dealing with a broken wrist the last few months has been brutal, but I am finally able to do incline dumbbell bench press again. I used to be able to only do 12.5 lbs but yesterday I was able to do 20 lbs so I felt amazing!22

This: I took this picture after one of the most best workouts I have ever had. I could not believe how much weight I am lifting....first of all, I hate pictures of me, second of all, I am a goof ball and never take a serious photo really, and lastly, this pix is really unflattering BUT I LOVE this pix and I am sharing it to try and explain what I am feeling inside about my outside.

I think it's having my daughter come into my life. Setting a good example for her is motivation enough to tackle all obstacles.30 -
Last night someone denied my identification when I tried to buy a drink. As someone in her 30s it was a bit frustrating to be treated like some 20yo kid again, but it was still a bit of a moment of pride. I got a new ID in the Summer of 2015 when I weighed 120lbs more and my hair was a different shade and like a foot longer. I look nothing like I used to look like and it was nice to have a bartender recognize that even if it meant I had to go without my gin and soda.

Ya know that stretch where you go from a runners lunge to having your inside arm go straight up and you look up that direction too? (If that makes ANY sense lol!!!) When I first started this at the beginning of August, I couldn't hold that for very long and I quivered like a leaf because my arms and abs were so weak. Tonight I noticed that I can hold that post and hold it steady too! Not bad after 2.5 months ;-)16

I've been on a medical leave of absence from work following a knee surgery last month...I stopped by my work yesterday to drop something off and a few people noticed my weight loss! Only 15lbs but I didn't tell anyone I've been losing weight so I know they weren't just being polite. Felt great!17

I’ve been dealing with so many injuries for me a NSV is that I haven’t put on any weight. I’ve been dead-in-the-water with two injuries to both big toes a heel injury which makes walking a chore, I’ve injured my rotator cup and hip flexor so I’ve basically wrapped myself in bubble wrap and locked myself in a room to avoid further destruction of myself.
So hey there’s another NSV, I haven’t hurt anything in the last two weeks. Of course, now that I said something I’m doomed.

I realized this morning that I no longer see myself as a fat girl. It was such a stunning realization because I've been "the fat girl" in my head for pretty much my entire life.41
