I appreciate the concern, ( not sure if it's genuine). But I assure you I'm fine.
Thanks though
Keep well.
@crzycatlady1 is, in my experience, nice and caring. Her concern seems genuine. We see many people here who are struggling with disordered eating, some of us here have personal histories with it as well. Your current rate of loss isn't a healthy one and that's why some people are expressing concern for you.12 -

Aw thanks I do know I can come off a bit gruff (really trying to work on that lol), but yes I was posting out of concern for the OP. I have relatives who have struggled with EDs (my own mom for instance), and it's incredibly sad to see wonderful people destroy themselves that way. I apologize to the OP if I came across badly, I was genuinely concerned about your well being.
Ok, now I'm bowing out of this thread!8 -

What was the time frame for the weight loss...?

Someone took time out of their day to be sure you were well and you were a complete ***** to them. And now you're going off about trolls in your other thread. You might want to consider stepping back from the boards for a minute.
You lost 10 pounds in 3 days. You can be proud of that. Why give green tea the credit when it was all you? But it's also a very fast, worryimgly fast, rate of loss. Do you plan to keep trying for that kind of loss all through the 60 pounds you say you want to lose elsewhere?14 -
It must be so hard, being so angry and a pessemistic.
@diannethegeek .
Did I not say thank you? I did.
What you say is a reflection of yourself.
I'll keep you in my prayers.
May God remove the spirit of anger and pessemism from your life.
Amen.

In this thread you have called people "haters" simply for disagreeing with your statements about green tea extract and told someone who was expressing concern for your wellbeing that you didn't have confidence that she was being genuine. If you want to focus on reflections, you may want to start closer to home.17 -

It hard to watch someone as strong as you are give credit for an amazing accomplishment to something else. It's hard to watch someone who's already beautiful trying to lose more than 10 pounds a week. It's hard to celebrate a journey when the person taking it doesn't seem to see how awesome their efforts are. Don't give your power to green tea in this. You deserve all of the credit. That's all anyone has been trying to tell you.14 -
Have seen some recent information linking green tea extract to liver problems. I stopped taking it... at least until more information is available.4

I take 2 green tea caps per day. I don't really like green tea but I believe that there are real benefits from it. I also read a few years ago in Men's Health or Muscle and Fitness (can't remember for sure) that there were very few supplements that work in pill form as well or better than getting it from the food/substance itself. Green tea supplements are actually better in pill form because in order to get all the benefits of the green tea when brewing it you have to get it at the perfect temperature, steep for the perfect amount of time and drink it immediately. Lots of variables whereas when a pill is made properly you can get all the benefits.
So if you love green tea, drink it and enjoy! But also, I believe taking the supplements are worth it. And if your combination of food, tea and supplements work for you to reach your goals, who cares what anyone else says! Do what works for you!3 -
I have to weigh in with the skeptics here, but I wish you well.
I enjoy green tea especially the tea in Chinese and Japanese restaurants. I stopped drinking it a few years ago because some of the tea grown near the 2011 Fukushima power plant disaster tested positive for radiation and I don't know where my tea comes from.

LOL - a blog by an IT guy? Derek Ralston has no nutrition background. You think the Japanese might import radiation infected tea?
I googled the subject and pulled up hundreds/thousands of references. This was one of the first ones. There are plenty more if you don't like this one.1 -

I'm good thank you. I trust the Japanese enough and also as the guy above you said - there are nutritional benefits to green tea and it certainly won't have a negative effect unless, like many things, you drink a shed load of it
And just like almost all supplements in the diet industry, the "benefits" have been over-hyped. If people get past blog post and look at things like google scholar and independent companies like examine, you will see this.5 -

Well yeah I'd hope that was pretty obvious. The notion that one thing is the saviour is certainly not correct. Kale may be nutritious and certainly won't hurt your weightloss journey, but it ain't the only thing you should have. Instead of reading - I like to to try it myself mate
As well as the notion that one thing is the enemy...2 -
I'm an honours student with majors in psychology and IT. I don't follow or do anything without doing extensive research about a topic. The need to research everything is well ingrained in to me.
At times it falls to my disadvantage ( the need to research, like when I'm in a relationship. Lol.)
Well, point I'm trying yo make is that, I did actually do extensive research on Google scholar and a few psychology databases. I'll try and link a few articles
But yes you are correct. People should not believe everything they read on blogs and forums.1 -

But that is all that it is Your OPINION.
This is my own true personal results.
I shared because I have done an extensive amount of research on the topic. And would like to be of help to any one else that like myself, is a herbal tea enthusiast.
The green tea plant is a Gem. That many people do not embrace
The green tea extract pills are pure with no other ingredients. Which is equivalent to 3 cups.
So ultimately I have been digesting 6-7 cups. If you don't believe in the power of green tea, well then it's your own misfortune.
We are all on the same journey here, to be the best versions of ourselves. I don't appreciate your rude/ sarcastic demeanour .
Have a lovely day.
It's not opinion...there is no scientific anything to back up green tea claims. You've been losing at a fairly rapid rate because you just started.
I just started my cut Monday...I've lost 4 Lbs in two days...no green tea. Depending on how much you have to lose (I don't have much), you will always lose at a faster rate initially...for one, you have less waste in your GI system...two, glycogen is being depleted and 3, less water retention to metabolize food...it has nothing to do with your green tea extract...6 -
Just dropping in to jump on the "green tea in any form does nothing for weight loss when other variables are kept constant" bandwagon.7
