My goal is 50 miles this month. My job is crying for us to pick up overtime.

12/2....4.73 miles on the treadmill, rolling hills, pace at 13:20, average heart rate at 82% max.
    12/4....2.85 miles on the treadmill.
12/7....3.52 miles on the treadmill, max heart rate at 88%, pace at 13:02.
12/9.....3.95 miles on the treadmill, max heart rate at 80%. pace at 12:45
12/13....4.42 miles on the treadmill, max heart rate at 88%, pace at 11:19

I had the flu over the weekend. Felt better today...still with some stomach issues but better than yesterday. Going to stay away from dairy for a while to see if it helps.Initially thought the body aches were due to Zercher squats.

12/14.....4.98 miles on the treadmill, pace at 11:06. Not going to risk getting sick again.
12/15....4.93 miles on the treadmill, pace at 11:19. Too cold (for me) to run outside.
12/23....3.35 miles on the treadmill, pace at 13:38....still recovering from the stomach bug....I can really tell it in my workout.

I completed the last personal training session at my gym after almost 5 years...yay! Now to go in and do it on my own.
Decided to not run today...my husband caught the stomach bug from me, and is pretty sick and very "needy".

    Total...32.75 miles
    Goal....50 miles.

    Merry Christmas, everyone!

The kids' presents had been brought out from hiding and put out ready for the morning chaos, so all was peaceful in the house while the kids were asleep, and as such, a perfect opportunity to get some more miles in made itself present (#dadjokes #hohoho). This being Texas, the temperature outside was back up to 70 at 10PM, so a heck of a lot warmer than recent days, and I had a good fast-paced run.

Didn't see Santa though, alas; Merry Christmas everybody!!!

    40 of 80 miles; 2 of 7 XT sessions.

My world here is covered with an icy glaze, with more freezing rain in the forecast for later today. I got out this morning for an abbreviated run. Very happy to get outside, but the footing was not so great. I've basically checked out of running for an entire week as I was very busy with a writing project at work and then catching up on some of the Christmas prep that I'd pushed off. Happy to have that behind me, and very happy to run outside this morning for the first time in 2-3 weeks.

Holiday blessings to you all! I'm so grateful for this group and all the inspiration you provide. Run happy!

I ran 32 min on the treadmill. About a mile at 5mph then intervals then I ended with .25 at 6mph. Garmin said 3.4 miles. Treadmill said 2.8! Grr. I met in the middle and edited garmin to 3.1 miles.

    Merry Christmas again everyone!

    Merry Christmas to you too!

My garmin pretty much always logs runs as longer that thr TM says. I tend to trust the Garmin more though, and will go with that, or just not use it. The differences bug me.

    Merry Christmas!!!

Iowa treated me to some icky weather for my run. 20-30 mph winds, a bit of a cold drizzle that turned into full-on rain in the last mile of my run, and sidewalks ranging from wet & clear to slush & ice. But got a solid hour in after presents and made it back in time to Skype with my aunt (who bought me some running sunglasses which will be great when the winter sun finally shows its face again).

Hope everyone got the running shoes they put on their list for Christmas! ;)

Falling behind, but running enough today to enjoy some nice holiday meals this week. At 2004 miles for the year according to my garmin, so I should have run the year in another day or two.

Ended up hosting 2 festivus dinners for neighbors and friends the past two days (w. the traditional meatloaf, pasta and chicken parm). Still, I failed at coming up with anything too original for my airing of the grievences and my lower body weight didn't help on the feats of strength competitions. Regardless, enjoyed today's holiday lunch with friends after my long run.

    12/2 - 7 miles
    12/3 - 5 miles
    12/4 - 4 miles (warmup + 5K race)

    12/16 - 7 miles
    12/17 - 8.5 mil
    12/18 - 7 miles
    12/19 - 5.5 miles (Monday night intervals @ 5:50 pace)

    Today's notes – Merry Christmas!

After a pleasant, low key church service this morning I came home, had a snack, and hit the road for a planned 7 mile run. Because I expect traffic to be light on Christmas Day, I ran a familiar route of rolling hills in the opposite direction from what I usually run it. This gives me some variety, at the cost of some harder street crossings; but with light traffic on Christmas, the street crossings were livable.

Got good running weather, a couple degrees above freezing with 12-14mph NNE wind. Temps are dropping modestly through the afternoon, so now it's a couple degrees below freezing; but I had clear roads and no black ice for running. It was a very pleasant run, faster than yesterday because I was alone but still keeping the HR in Zone 2 or below for all but a bit over a minute of the run.

Technically, this is the first day of formal training toward Boston. Last Thursday, Coach said he'd put out a training program toward Bend. I'll need to talk to him next week about how to balance training for Bend and training for Boston. He's managed this type of situation many times, and I'm sure he'll have a good plan for it. Meanwhile, I'll just follow the start of the Boston training plan. Today's assignment: "Easy." Check.

@garygse Can you believe this weather? When we left for church last night, I was shocked at how warm it was. I'm glad I ran when it was cooler. I enjoyed the run today though. The wind was tough at times but it kept things cool.
