Not really a quote but something i realized recently...
If you have to make an excuse about something -why arent you walking? why arent you in school? working? calling your mother? etc- Your Energy is put to much beter use just trying to fix your excuses vs setting all these super huge goals. Once youve learned to fix your excuses everything in life and fitness fall into place.1 -
If you do what you've always done, then you will get what you've always got.1

"I want to see what happens when I don't give up"
So many times I've started working out and slowly stopped after a month or so... I've been going for around 7 months now and I'm not giving up any time soon!

My favorite is from Eric Thomas aka "The Hip Hop Preacher" hes an amazing motivational speaker. "Pain is temporary, it may last a hour a day, a week or, even a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place." Then E.T. goes on to say so if your already in pain atleast get something out of it; get a reward from it!!
I love listening to him he's an amazing motivator.0 -
I don't know who said it so I can't give credit for it, but here it is:
excuses are the nails used to build the house of failure.5 -
The pain of failure is worse than the pain of discipline.0

My all time fav

" I can't change the direction of the wind but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination "
"Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever."
"Don't cry to quit! You already in pain, you already hurt! Get a reward from it!"2 -

Fear
Fear passes from man to man
Unknowing,
As one leaf passes its shudder
To another.
All at once the whole tree is trembling.
And there is no sign of the wind
Fear is one of the things I've struggled with most in my adult life. Not just with exercise and health, but with everything. The quote I've used for years now is Frank Herbert's Litany Against Fear:
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
It is the little death that brings total annihilation.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

On my phone's background I have the quote, "I can, and I will." I look at it every time I start getting discouraged in the gym.1
