Your transformation is absolutely incredible! Strong work! Just curious, how long did this take you?
Thank you so much!
Although the "before" picture was taken a few years ago (I avoided the camera like the plague); all it's taken is just shy of 12 short months! 70 lbs down. 88 down from highest weight. I will be celebrating my one-year fitiversy on Feb 8th26 -
I've been doing alot of weight training and not alot of cardio besides hiit. The one thing I am afraid of is that I will look more bulky/manly and instead of girly. especially in the arms since they big anyway. Any advice as to how I can prevent myself from being too bulky?0

Just watch your food intake. People tend to look bulky when they have lots of muscles combined with lots of fat. If you are pretty lean, you'll look slim and strong like these beautiful ladies.6

You won't... from everything I've read, it takes men an awful lot of effort to get bulky even with all their advantages, it's extremely difficult for women. Don't worry - read this!

My arms probably look too manly or bulky for anyone who's not really into that aesthetic - but it's worth noting that it took A LOT of work to get them that way, also they have a pump as it was uppper body day, and down lights make them look more defined.
In my mind the benefits of heavy lifting are immense:

Unless you take steroids, you cannot get bulky. We are women, we are built like women. Your body can only get curvy, but you wont look like a man without steroids, it is not possible, we are not built like them. Even if we wanted to look like them, our bodies cannot, without drug assistance. Getting too manly/bulky is the biggest womens weightlifting myth.10 -
I have exercised semi-consistently over the last 7 years with some changes, but nothing to be uber proud of. Finally I became more consistent and added lifting then heavier lifting to my routine this past year and I have felt better than ever. I still struggle with my diet, but at least I have remained consistent at the gym. I am 5'2" and weigh 142lbs. My main goal has been to lower my overall body fat percentage and not focus so much on the number on the scale.

Wow, this is jaw dropping. All of this. I didn't really read many comments, but I saw all the pictures and the journeys. Such an inspiration. This thread has made me decide to lift heavy this time around. My weight yoyos all year round and I'm at my heaviest ever now, but everytime I lose weight I usually focus solely on cardio with no weights because I never see my weight change, but this time I'm lifting heavy. Got my gym membership sorted at a gym I can walk to, booked an induction for this weekend, feeling really motivated to make my body change like I've seen in this thread. Nice work everyone! I think I'll go take some "before" pictures!11
