My upper body strength is getting so much better. I use to struggle horribly with pushups and was able to do 12 full ones took a short rest and did 10 more the other day. Upped my dumbbells from 15 to 20lbs, doing sets of 10-12 reps.22

My jeans I was so excited about fitting into last week (because they were 3 sizes smaller than my old ones) already have started to become loose at the waist, another week and they'll be falling off at this rate27

I did my third day of Zombie's run and finally got chased by zombies. I had been nervous about running 20% faster, but I got away no problem.25

needed to pee today. like, seriously needed to pee. i drank almost a litre of water on the bus and then went to a store to buy boots . . . you know how it sneaks up on you.
ducked into the library and finally found their washroom at the last possible second. THEN remembered that i had double-knotted the string at the waist of my pants.
they came off without me having to pick at that knot. disaster dodged.45 -
Went for a 2.75mi walk with the fiance (60° in MN in Feb!!!), then followed up with a 7mi run at the gym, when he went to work.
And wasn't tired! Would have gone another 7, but it was late and I work in AM, and tomorrow is my long run. Didn't want to push it.

Oh! And I got a new workout outfit today. Was confident enough to post a pic on social media - bra and pants, no sorry. Belly showing. Didn't get harassed... Lots of work to go before I feel GOOD about it, but confident to post is an improvement14

I can so relate. I absolutely can't run in anything but well-tied drawstring pants. Combine that with my bad habit of drinking coffee beforehand and I've had plenty of near misses. Nothing is harder than trying to get a knot untied while doing the potty dance. Today it was snowing so I wore drawstring running tights with waterproof drawstring pants on top. I thought I'd never get out.13 -
I kept saying that I'd do this, so here it is:
See the space between my stomach and the steering wheel of my car? That void used to be filled with my excess fat. In fact, the steering wheel was indented into my stomach, so my fat used to flow under the bottom of the steering wheel and through to the other side (I would not have been able to see my feet on the floor, as in the first photo).
Still got a way to go; as you can see, I still have some fat there. This just shows how far I've changed in 18 months.75 -
My husband commented on new pants and how good they looked, he has not made many comments so this made my day.24

On a whim I just decided to look through some old comments on here and it's so nice seeing how far everyone has come I feel like we are our own little community on this thread! If any of you want to be friends, feel free to request me!
My latest NSV is making some BIG long-term goals and thinking I can actually do them. For a while, it was all about the weight loss, but now it's so much more. We plan on trying for a baby in 2020, so that gives me three full years to work toward my crazy fitness goals before dialing it back during pregnancy (if it happens).
-2017: lose the rest of the weight, run 5 races (including a 10k), hike the two tallest VT peaks
-2018: run a half marathon, hike the Long Trail (goes across VT from the Massachusetts border to the Canadian border. Takes 3-4 weeks)
-2019: run the Vermont City Marathon
WOW now that it is typed out it feels very official. Of course plans are meant to be changed, but it is a victory in itself to believe I am even capable of these things. I am very excited and so grateful for you awesome inspirational people!28 -
12k steps yesterday! I had convinced myself I was lazy and inactive because I 'don't work' as a SAHM, so I got a fitness tracker to work up to 10k steps. Well, I haven't been under 10k steps since I got the thing! So my new goal was to work my way up to 12k a day, and yesterday I plopped into bed and checked, and I had 12,138! Woo!40

I'm wearing jeans today that are just a bit loose. Don't think they require a belt, but I had to think about it. In mid-December, I couldn't pull them up past my hips.22

My first week on my new diet. I'm doing intermittent fasting where I have a small eating window in the evening. Well this is the first morning I have had my daughter since I get her for the weekends and she wanted bacon and oatmeal for breakfast. Remember I can't have breakfast. I made BACON and wasn't even tempted to break my fasting period. That is a HUGE NSV for me I never ever would have thought I could make bacon and not eat any lol.30

Whoa...not tempted by bacon! Fantastic. I've started the 16/8 intermittent fasting a few days ago. I'm amazed that I'm not hungry until noonish, and that I don't snack in the evening. I've slept better too. Dropped 4 lbs.13

Well, I haven't been under 10k steps since I got the thing! So my new goal was to work my way up to 12k a day, and yesterday I plopped into bed and checked, and I had 12,138! Woo!
I was a SAHM for ten years and believe me, I worked!!!! And so do you! You shouldn't need a fitness tracker to tell you that Being home is fun, rewarding, exhausting, frustrating, and oftentimes full of doubt (if I was working we could take a cool trip like so-and-so). You are doing a very important job; own it and be proud of it16 -

Ha, this is something I noticed this week. I hadn't really paid much attention to it and then suddenly I was like, woah, look at all that space! My belly didn't quite reach my steering wheel but I wasn't far off.
My biggest NSV at the moment is being completely back on track calorie goal wise. Last year was hard work due to my mental health and this year is turning out to be no different but for some reason I am completely back on track weight goals wise. next is to get the fitness goals back but I'm also learning to be kinder to myself.
And completely unrelated to weight loss, I went to the dentist for the first time in a very very long time. I'm phobic but I had two appointments in one day, injections and preparatory work for a crown next week and i didn't shake uncontrollably the entire time! Yay me!23 -

This is me too! I am also a SAHM and don't really carry my phone around with me every second of the day so I never really counted my steps. My husband was nice enough to get me a tracker for Valentine's Day and I have constantly gone over 10k steps since! I'm not even doing anything other than my normal day (laundry, putting away laundry, trips to the pantry for snacks, the red cup instead of the blue cup, etc.). Glad to know I'm not the only one!
