1. Make healthy choices Did really good at this, right up until the Little Debbie Cinnamon Roll at 8pm. *sigh)
2. Stay in green See #2 above.
3. Hydrate - my fingers are like puffy sausages and my rings won't fit!!!
4. Do at least one thing that I enjoy today Did several actually! What a nice day spent with my honey.
5. Hit my step goal No, because we took some drives in the country. But it was totally worth not hitting my goals today. I came very close.
6. Go to Stein's and get some flowers bulbs and plant a new patch of Daffodils and Hyacinths in the front yard (this actually could fall under #4. Two birds with one stone?) Nope, maybe today on the way home?
7. Mark at least 3 things off my to-do list: bills, laundry and veggie prep for the week
8. Read, journal and unplug one hour before bed!! THIS IS A MUST! I've been really bad about this. Was up late watching some stupid show in tv.
Hmmmm....didn't hit my goals very well yesterday but it was such a really relaxing stress-free great day that I am just going to be grateful for that. Sometimes that is exactly what a body needs...for the brain to rest!
Back at it today! Just for Monday:
1. Stay in the green
2. WATER! Not just decaf, but actual good-for-the-body WATER.
3. Take a real lunch break where I actually get away from my desk.
4. Be grateful for what I have in my life instead of focusing on what I do not.
5. Work toward my goal of simplifying.
6. Try to complete Phase 1 of my project at work so I can start Phase II tomorrow.
7. Unplug one hour prior to bed, read and journal to unwind. Bed on time tonight!
Hope everyone is having a great day! It's a brand new week!4 -
I'm starting up again. When I am motivated to accomplish other things, I lead a more active lifestyle, and everything else falls into place. I had a baby in January, so I'm trying to figure out how to get things done while I'm on maternity leave.
JFT 4/25(posting this for tomorrow Tues.)
1. Don't go back to sleep after feeding the baby
2. Get out of the house with the baby (I have something in mind...it's just a matter of getting out of the house with the baby in time)
3. Only eat 2-3 small deserts from the recent party
4. Don't go overboard with finishing the leftovers from the recent party
5. Write short (realistic ) to-do list.
6. Finish to-do list.
7. Post to this threat to follow up and write a new set of goals.
8. Go to Zumba. This is a freebie for me. I already have my dad coming to babysit so I can go to this.4 -

Log all food and stay under goal

Went to physical therapy yesterday and it was amazing! My back was feeling so much better. Still not sleeping so well, but will keep working on my stretching. Made progress on my baby blanket and it is looking good. Definitely need to spend more time on it!
Have a wonderful day!
God you got some relieve from PT!
Definitely keep working on your stretches!
I'd love to see this baby blanket when it's finished!
How are you making it? Knitting, crochet, quilting? Or another way lol
I love making things
Sorry, I have been off for a couple of days. I will post a picture when I finish it. I am crocheting this one, then plan to quilt another one. It is good mental therapy for me!3 -

Hi Everyone! I have been off for a couple of days. I was just feeling down and didn't want to spread my negativity...
But, on a positive note I did meet my calorie, carb, water, and exercise goals while I was away.

2. Keep carbs under 20g.
3. Drink 8 glasses of water.
4. Meet step goal.
5. Do one other kind of exercise. Remember, weigh-in is tomorrow!

- Stay off MFP at work after this post.

Something's really going on with me and I don't know what it is!
It must be depression because some days I'm so motivated and other days I'm really not. Maybe I over do it on the days I do good?
@Bex953172
It's raining here today, and I feel exactly as you do. Last week while the sun was shining I did tons of things. Today, I really haven't left the computer room. I think that the weather has a lot to do with your feelings and your motivation. I feel that is one reason a support group like this is so important; you see others who are struggling with the same problems.5 -
Just for Friday:
Continue with filing music---30" --assembled new filing cabinet
Clear off dining room table---yes!
Practice --can't remember
Garden work--planted lettuce
Stay under calorie goal---yes!
Exercise---walked for 20 minutes
Check on neighbors---they're OK
Be productive~!--yes--house is much tidier5 -
JFT- start of my work week and it's hard to stay focused. So goals are to keep on track with eating. Exercise and drink water. Also, don't get overwhelmed and binge:/3
-
So much to catch up on after being gone for one week - lots of encouraging posts from you guys!!
I did OK on our trip to Chicago - lots of standing on my feet, and no time to snack!! I choose healthy foods (except for the deep dish Chicago Pizza - which was worth every bite!).
It was also our 40th wedding anniversary, so while the trip was a business trip, hubby and I still enjoyed our time away together, and the car ride.
So, thankfully, this morning my weight is back down to what it was before I got into the Easter Candy!! I still have to lose 3 pounds to lose though to meet my goal for the month of April, but, at least I am back on track.
SO today I am keeping my goals simple, as I am exhausted, and now its unpacking stuff and getting the house put back together, and do some yard work. I think our grass grew 6 inches while we were gone!! .
so JFT, Tuesday, April 25
1. eat healthy
2. carry my water bottle with me and sip on water
3. mow the grass
4. do laundry
5. unpack stereo equip and help hubby put everything back in its place
6. get all receipts together before I lose them
7. read success stories
8. get back on here tomorrow -- stay accountable!!
Tonite I am going to try and reach through over 45 posts! You guys are all doing so great!!5 -
Late logging on for T, have been traveling to 5 area locations for work project. Between car rides, on my feet a lot & already have >6,900 steps; normally I am a desk jockey. This evening is my 90 minute massage, so no dog walk and no steps!
Recap M 4/24
1) Keep total net calories w/i 100 of daily goal = close -112...evening I was overtired / stressed (got scary news mom is in hospital for monitoring; Thank God she's in great spirits) and ate some Easter candy again
2) Walk dog after work = really had to talk myself into it, after working late, then getting car checked for tire pressure light - told myself walk would help deal with stress & dog would love it...so glad I did, walked 2.34 miles
3) Floss = yes Day 2
4) Bedtime by 10:15 no TV...have busy road trip day for work project on Tues. = 10:03
Just for the rest of today T 4/25
1) Keep total net calories w/i 100 of daily goal
2) Drink at least 8 c. water (hard to do when performing fieldwork, can't carry water with me)
3) Floss
4) Bedtime by 10:30 & TV off
Welcome back @joan6630!5 -

Tuesday goals:
1. Keep calories under 1300.
2. Keep carbs under 20g.

4. Meet step goal. Beat it by over 2K! The sun actually peaked between the gray clouds for a brief period, so enjoyed walking to the market and picking up my groceries!
5. Do one other kind of exercise. Remember, weigh-in is tomorrow! No on the extra exercise, but not unhappy since I got tons of walking in.
6. Work on baby blanket! Barely any. I did pick it up and set it on my lap, but my son got a new movie and I got sucked into it! It was very enjoyable so I only feel a little guilty about not making more progress.

Well, I was dreading getting on the scale this morning, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was down another 1.6 pounds this week! I would love to lose another 4 to 5 pounds by my husband's birthday on 15 May.
It has been so cold and dreary. I completely agree with you @asclepsia and @Bex953172 that the weather can really impact your spirits and energy! I think we just need more of that Vitamin D from the sun! Sadly, it is another gray day, but I am feeling a little better about my lifestyle change.
I went to the doctor this morning and my blood sugar was actually normal! Happy days! I am hoping that means it won't take too long before I can back off on the medication.
Hope you have a wonderful day!4 -

Totally agree with the weather also! I take Vitamin D 5000 IU every day from late October through April where I live. I do think it helps.
YIPPEE on the blood sugar being normal! THAT is a major victory! Proud of you! You go girl!4 -
Thank you Joan for inviting me to this thread!
It's been months since I've been tracking, exercising & eating healthy & boy, it shows on the scale and in my clothes. I recently spent some time with some close friends who hadn't seen me in a long time & i could sense their awareness of my weight gain. Also plantar fasciitis in both feet now. 50 being a few years away, I'd like to be in excellent health. All that being said, it's time to take action.
CW-209
GW-150
Ht-5'7"
Track meals & snacks (partially pretracked)
Aim for 90 grams of protein (spread throughout the day)
Walked dog
Elliptical 18 mins (5 days ago I could only do 8, so I've gradually increased every day) goal is 30 mins.
Listen to Half Size Me webinar (recently joined community & webinars/free podcasts are no nonsense)
Weight machines & abs
Aim for 8 cups of water
30 min nap in afternoon
Bed by 9:30
Action = Motivation

@Saragirl2 Hi! Welcome! The Half Size Me webinar you mention...is that a Podcast? I recently started listening to a few a day at work or when I walk, and most of them are inspirational and I really am hooked on them now. Wondering if this is another one I should try?1
-
I'd like to join you all regularly. I was a lurker/occasional contributor on the old thread. My goals may be little, but just completing one thing right a day is a winner spirits wise.
