My goals for the rest of the month are:
Track my food and be totally honest about it
Walk on my treadmill 15 - 20 minutes each day; or
Walk around our property since Louis has mowed all my paths
Work on my budget for next month and check on how we did (or are doing) for this month
Try to not worry about things I cannot change and have no control over
Be polite - even 'if' it means I have to bite my tongue (or chew nails, 10-penny - not on my hands

Hi to everyone. What a beautiful day here today. Too bad we have to be stuck inside doing our taxes LOL. Last night we went out to dinner and played cards with friends which was a lot of fun.
Lanette: hubby and I both have experience with the TENS. What can I help you with?
Well I am off to get started on the pesky taxes. I don’t know why we put them off every year, but we do…usually til the fall. So at least we are in the ball park Take care all. Meg from sunny Omaha
Meg, I'm just curious about how it does on low back pain/strain ...and if it would work on joint pain as well such as shoulder, elbow tendonitis, etc. I did order one from Amazon and most reviewers seemed to give them high marks.
Thanks!
Lanette

Hi ladies: Very tired and I think there may be a nap in my future. Had to get up at 3:15 this morning to get my DD to the airport by 5:00. She is flying to Newark, NJ, meets up with her friend and they are flying to Sweden. They will be in Sweden and Norway until the 15th. I am going to miss her.
I had an NSV yesterday. I have a pair of jeans that I bought a couple of years ago when I bought some other jeans but they were a different style and although they fit they were tight and not very comfortable. Yesterday I saw them in the closet and decided to try them on again. This time they slipped on and fastened easily and I wore them comfortably all day. Yay for new jeans!
Sarah - Hope you continue to stay dry.
Rori and Kim - Great picture.
Margaret - Glad for the good news for your DH.
Re - How awesome you are in Onederland now. I hope I am not too far behind you.
Katiebug - Congratulations on all those pull-ups!
Pip - I can't believe you rode through those storms. You rock woman.
Lanette - I also will pass on nude gardening. Too many blackberries on my place.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA4 -

Good Evening My Dear Friends,
Dana, Dolly looks so comfy in that picture. I can’t believe you were so mean to her and had her get in her kennel for the night. Lol
Renee, thanks for the name. It makes it so much easier to respond. Welcome!! When I joined MFP I was type II diabetic and had been on medication for it for about 10 years. I’m happy to say that I have now been off the meds for almost two years, due to losing weight. I’m also off of two other meds that I was taking daily. Good luck to you and come here often.
Paula Y, there are so many dog lovers in this group that I’m sure many of us relate. It is not silly at all to be totally in love with an animal that gives such unconditional love and affection. Good for you.
Kim and Rori, great photo and so wish I could meet up with many of you.
M, glad you are getting at least some relief from the eye problem.
Lanette, I just want to know how you know that Saturday is “World Naked Gardening Day” ? And who is that a picture of?? LOL Nice flowers.
Ann, you are so right about friendship being complicated. I guess some of the complications are just easier to take than others. Lol
Katla, I haven’t had to get new glasses in the past two years, since I no longer have insurance. I’m not looking forward to forking out that kind of money when I do need glasses. Yikes!
Gloria, I hope the flooding isn’t bad. Please take care.
Heather, so glad you two had a good anniversary dinner. Kudos on the restaurant giving you a glass of wine.
Kelly, I can’t even imagine caring for all those kids so I really hand it to you. Also glad you sound “human” in that they get to you sometimes. Lol Hope you have a restful night.
Janet2, so glad you got to the doc and are on meds. Please feel better fast and next time don’t wait so long. ((((Hugs))))
Jane, I was interested in the description of your DD’s hair. Please take a before and after picture to share with us.
Lanette, I used a Tens Unit when my back was at its worst. The nice thing is that the prices have gone down so much. I think mine was $300 back then but luckily my insurance paid for it.
to all the Newbies. Come often and join in the chat. This thing works!! Please sign your post with what you want to be called. It makes it easier for us to respond to you. Also a location is great, be it specific or general. We are happy to have you join us.
My DD made it to north central Illinois today. She didn’t have rain to drive in but said there was construction everywhere. Tomorrow we hope she gets to middle Tennessee and should be home by Monday. It sure would have been a great Mother’s Day if she had made it by Sunday but she needed the day off yesterday with no traveling.
Sending love, good thoughts and sunshine to all of you.
I Love you

I'm smiling - the hairdresser was great! she talked to DD (am I right in thinking this is dear daughter and DH is dear husband?? - so have to learn the lingo!) and explained what was needed. DD came out of hairdressers smiling and her hair looks beautiful!!!
Worked through my pain last night without any munching Major triumph for me!! Managed to get some sleep at 5 am and woke at 9 am so not bad. I'm on chair-a-cise again tonight and I will take tramadol before bed. I get up at 5 am on Sunday morning to drop first born to work as he doesn't drive and there are no buses here on Sundays. The early start might mean the hallway painting gets started, but I have no3 son and grand daughter coming for a visit at mid day so maybe not !!!
Have a good evening all
Jane

We r going to have new curtains made with the 1st pic fabric.. $157 a yard! With labor it would have been close to 4K!!! This is only for the airstream mind u. We settled for the 2nd fabric at $49.90 a yard. Saving some bucks.

Is today the Kentucky Derby?3 -
Mia - YOU ROCK, GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!! So proud of you
Janetr OKC2 -
Pip, the second fabric looks more like you.
Gloria, love, love the high school grad picture of you. So remember the hair although my parents never had the money for us girls.
My husband would never hesitate walking out of a dealership if the didn't like his offer. And he wouldn't be nice about it either. He can be the nicest man but he does have his anger issues. I think a good part of it is that he feels insecure in himself. He always 'says' that he is OK in his high school degree but I know how he talks about other people with higher degrees and how they are so much 'better' than he is. Think of Heather's friend when I say 'better'. He also blames himself that our girls didn't get their college degrees and became 'dropouts' and make dead end salaries.
Hope all is safe from the storms.

Allie, see about getting your own insurance. Don't take Tom's word for it.5

I agree with the others Allie, I don't know about the US, but that is 3 times what my DH pays! You can always do what he does, ring them up and beat them down, or go to a different insurer to see if they will give you a better rate. Can you do an online comparison?
Love Heather UK xxxxxxx
PS My anniversary meal was fabulous! We watched "Last Quartets" with Philip Hoffman. Very good.3 -
MartiB from Ontario, OR: Welcome to a great group of supportive women. I have family in Ontario and Nyssa. We visit them from time to time.
Grits: I like the word "no" too, because it is powerful and not even slightly ambiguous. "No" means no. Period.
Jane in Kent: DD can be Dear Daughter or d*mned daughter. DH is Dear Husband or . . . You need to put the comments into context to figure out whether they are good or bad.
Mia: Congratulations!!!
Pip: I've always felt like travel trailers are a little like playing house. You ought to be able to have fun with them.
I'm having a good day today. I went out for my horse time and spent almost an hour brushing the horse without getting him clean. I took the advice of his owner and saddled him anyway. It was a good ride. I also had a relatively pleasant conversation with our new neighbor, the landscaping bully.
