Ran with the running group today at the YMCA. Ran with another person and we took it pretty slow which I was fine with. It was hot and my hip was quite sore.

I'm happy that I'm not sore or stiff from running the half marathon- I guess the training plan really prepared me!

My referral finally went through and my first PT appointment is Tuesday! I'm really looking forward to fixing my hip pain and running pain free.

Random question for the group. My custom jersey/singlet, which I thought would be arriving late next week, is scheduled to arrive Monday. I REALLY want to be able to wear it at the marathon.

So here is my question, do you think my 5 miler on Wednesday will be long enough to figure out if I like how it wears? I have a different shirt that's G2G, but having a custom one, with my name on the back would be super sweet for marathon day....but not at the expense of performance.

@MNLittleFinn - Yes, 5 miles is long enough that any major problems with a shirt should be apparent. Most likely, this will be a non-issue; but it's good to wear the new shirt for that 5 mile run just to be sure.

@shanaber Orphia posted a link to a shirt she designed that we can order and have shipped directly. It was 25$.

I love the shorts. I can't wait to loss a few more pounds and run shirtless in them

Thanks. My normal thinking told me that, but being tapering..... I'm questioning everything I think.....lol....HM taper wasn't nearly so bad.

@Sliedur - The phone shot is Garmin Connect. It imports data from the watch via Bluetooth, or indirectly from the cloud if the watch updates to the computer first.

Hit up the trails for 10 miles with a friend this morning which was nice, but I was still a bit sluggish.

    6/1 - 2 miles
    6/3 - 3.5 miles
    6/4 - 13 miles (1:36 run @ IM Raleigh 70.3)
    6/6 - 3 miles
    6/7 - 7 miles
    6/8 - 3.5 miles (post ride)
    6/10 - 10 miles

    Total: 41 miles
    Goal: 180 miles
    Remaining: 139 miles

    2017 Race Schedule:
    1/29 - Chilly Willy Duathlon (1:07:48 - 20:05 1st 5K/21:16 2nd 5K - 1st AG, 3rd Amateur)
    2/5 - Best Damn Race 1:50 pacer
    5/5 - Pittsburgh Marathon (withdrew at mile 16 - 1:32 split @ 13.1)
    6/4 - Ironman 70.3 Raleigh - 4:43/1:36 run - Qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championships
    8/25 - Ironman Coeur D'Alene
    9/10 - Ironman 70.3 World Championships

@MNLittleFinn - only used my gear bag twice for a marathon & more often for triathlons - I think I had some warm clothes (shed before the start), a cell phone (to check my & friend's times/sync with friends), and a few bucks/bus card for getting a snack & going home after. Just make sure the sticker with your number is on securely.

They're both made of moisture-wicking fabric. Not sure if you can edit the colours.

I get the minimum royalty per T-shirt I could set (5%) in the store, which works out at less than 90c per shirt.

@MobyCarp awesome pics. When we were in Savannah GA, we were told that the cemeteries should be treated as parks. They welcomed picnicks, running, ect. Which is cool. I never thought not to use them as parks though, especially the old historic ones.
