@crazyravr would you mind posting the recipe for the beard?

I hope you mean bread lol :)

Use this, and make sure to weight EVERYTHING including water and follow the rest of the instructions. The weight measures are posted in one of the comments. Otherwise this might / might not work.

    Thank you very much :)

Urgh we dont get all-purpose or bread flour in the supermarkets. It's all just cake-wheat flour.

I buy almost all of my non perishable pantry items online now for this purpose. It's either that or hunt through a variety of super markets and specialty stores. Much easier to buy online.

I live in South Africa. We don't have the variety of online options that the rest of the world has lol

These are the no-bake lemon coconut protein bites that were on the MFP Hello Healthy board last week. They were just ok. I had most of the ingredient on hand, but I still had to buy the dates and the coconut, which alone were $6. I have enough to make a few more batches, but I don't think they are worth investing in the ingredients again. 97 calories each by my calculations (compared to 83 calories per the website).

@crazyravr two questions. I only get self raising flour and cake wheat four, which is better to use? Also we are in winter now instead of letting it rise for 18 hours at 70F can I let it rise for 24 hours 65F? I would have to make the dough tonight and then make the bread tomorrow when I come back from work. Would it be ok to leave it that long?

I've been focusing on healthy foods that are delicious, not many calories. But love my food! So, here are some faves.

Smashed Avocado with garlic, a slice of salmon, feta cheese, mint and chili pepper slices, on multigrain, with a poached egg. Our favorite breakfast when we want to spoil ourselves. 420 calories...
    9k5uidsxxjnt.jpg

A scrambled egg-and-a-half (3 for my wife and I) on multigrain, fluffy with no additives, and a strawberry. 380 calories...
    z4zv4bsbdbze.jpg

My one-egg french omelette with feta, mushrooms, tomato and sprouts. 180 calories...
    8uodsfnpslva.jpg

Our baked (not fried) falafel biscuits with fresh chick peas, herbs from our garden with a side of our own homemade garlic hummus. For a snack (shown at 200 calories) or a meal.
    bmn7a8czc0nr.jpg

Garlic mussels steamed in wine with our own home made tomato-sausage sauce, fresh basil, reggiano cheese. Lots of Omega-3. A bit of a decadent treat at 600 calories.
    t8x5mat775t5.jpg

Home-made ricotta (not potato) gnocchi served with our tomato Napoli sauce, shaved parmesan and herbs from our garden. 400 calories as shown...

Over the years some people have asked me for recipes, so some of these can be found here: food.garywiz.com/. I have no promotional interests, so the site may be slow. We just love our food!
