07/12 189.5: -0.5 lbs Its taken me 11 days to get under the 190 mark. I'm glad to finally break through it. I just hope it stays!
07/13 190: +0.5 Ugh. I am really starting to hate this particular number. It's my nemesis. Lol I ate under my calorie intake, and I walked 4.5 miles yesterday also. There's always tomorrow.
07/14 189.25: -0.75 I was trying to read up on plateaus yesterday, so that I could move past mine. I adjusted my diet, and I hope that the weight loss sticks. Lol I went biking last night and only got a 20 minutes, 3.5 mile ride in before I heard a very large whoosh like a tornado. The sky was black a road over from me. I knew it was about to get nasty. I had to call my husband to come and get me. He knows my route, and he was already on his way and just around the corner. By the time I saw him, it was already sprinkling, but by the time we got my bike loaded up in the SUV and our bums in the seats, it was a torrential downpour. My hero...he rescued me. Lol Too bad my biking was cut short though.
07/15 188.75: -0.5 I can't believe my eyes!!!! I'm under 189! I actually was like great...I gained a half pound and stepped off the scale. 190 is creeping up on me. I'm a yo-yo. Then, I was like, wait...was that 188, and I jumped back on! Lol Since my bike ride was rained out the night before, I went an extra 15 minutes today and biked 7 miles. It's always pizza night in my house on Friday, so I bought my husband, our 3 children, and their 3 friends some. Then, I went and bought myself a salad and yogurt. I also drank 60oz of water! I'm so astonished.
07/16: 188.75 -0/+0 I gave my body an active rest day. Although I didn't "exercise," I did a lot of walking due to grocery shopping and school supply shopping. I maintained my weight from the day before. All these new low carb recipes I've been trying out for dinner have been a great help for me. 60 oz of water again for me today too, dropping the carbonated beverages, and reducing my refined sugars has done a world of wonders. Having all of you on here to help keep me accountable has by far been the biggest help. Thank you.

7/15 - 198.0 Stressful day yesterday. We lost water Thursday night and the end result was we had to sink a new pump yesterday. Too much eating of snack type foods. Too much eating in general. I finished C25K Week 2.

I absolutely loved this 10 day challenge when I did it a few months back, but then life got stressful (what else is new!) and I resorted back to my stress eating and gained most of it back. So I'm back at it!!

7/12 146.6 Big Sigh... Quite a bit of salt on beef yesterday. Then, the power went out so we went to see Spiderman and ate some candy. And Ice cream. Ate an orange=more carbs. No exercise. Back on track today.
7/13 147 Wrong way Corrigan here. 45 min on ellip but son cooked general tso's chick and I had some - but, hery, no rice! To gym today and ellip to burn some of this off. I was 145 for the last three days of round 9. Now to get back and below. To hit my goal for this round of 143 I need to drop 4 in the next 8 days. Some is probably water weight so doable.
7/14 146 gym yesterday ate wisely. drank some lemon water... ellip today.
7/15 145.2 75 min ellip yesterday and reasonable eating. LOL While family chowed down on spaghetti and sauce I had spiralized zucchini and sauce. Yum. Topped of by a 1/2 cup pasta and sauce. Feeling proud of me. Hopefully off to gym today.
7/16 145 Yae, back to where I was a week ago. Hopefully, this time it sticks. No exercise yesterday. Felt so tired, no energy. Took a day of rest. Clothes are fitting so much better. Not sleeping well though. Cutting caffeine to no more than one cup of tea or coffee early in day. I'll see if that helps. Stay strong, everyone.

7/12 - 132.8 I am thrilled! I was very conscious about how much I ate more than what I ate while I was away. Walked a heap checking things out. And worked out 3 out of 4 days I was away. I hope this is going to stick! I was in that direction before I went out to Happy Hour on 7/7 and weighed in on 7/8. Keep on keeping on
7/13 - 132.4 definitely moving in the right direction. Now comes a new challenge. I had a minor procedure today and no exercise for 10-14 days. If I can maintain throughout this challenge, I will be quite happy.
7/14 - 132.4 staying steady. No exercise for awhile. Mindful eating. Eating is 75% of the battle (so the research shows). I will keep logging. Happy Friday everyone.
7/15 - 133 I hate not being able to exercise! Maybe another 8 days. Continue to be mindful about eating

Ready for Round 10 (round 3 for me). Thank you for setting this up, Cyranda!
Weight bounces around so I need a way to see the trends on successive 10-day challenges, so am choosing to look at the mid-point between the high and low of the challenge.
Round 8/1: HW 274 LW 269.8 MidW = 271.9
Round 9/2: HW 269.4 LW 266.8 MidW=268.1
I sense two major challenges for this 10-day period. One is maintaining discipline over logging and calories. Cheating the diary just prolongs the process! The other is changing my cooking habits so I am making not just lower calorie supper but less of it. I am still cooking as if I am eating for two.
7/12 266.6 -- This is the lowest weight by .2 pounds. Let's see what I can do to have this be the highest for these 10 days!
7/13 267.6 -- Ah, the days I wake up thirsty because I didn't drink as much as I ought are the days the scale gives me a swat upside the head saying, "You thought you'd be down today because you stayed within your calories! Well, I'll show you!"
7/14 267.6 -- I think the scale likes that number. Calories just within limits so downward path will resume.
7/15 268.0 -- A couple of sodium bombs yesterday. Who knew an English muffin had over 500 grams of sodium? And then for supper a yummy stuffed portobello. The stuffing? Feta. No wonder my eyes are puffy. Gotta drink more today -- throw in an extra glass of still water.
7/16 268.4 -- Starting out 471 calories in the red today because I went 471 calories over yesterday -- ON LATE NIGHT SNACKING!! I also staid up late. This is a well-established old habit that needs breaking! It's the first time I've fallen back into it for awhile. STOP mistaking sleepiness for hunger!! Especially tonight because that 471 calories is taken from today's allotment!

Well at least I didn't go up. I had my niece stay over last night and she is used to eating super unhealthy. So yesterday and today has been one of those days where we've been eating healthy for her but unhealthy for us. Just relieved that we have been really active. Because 11 year olds. I love her but I will be glad to not be awakened at 6 on my day off by someone staring at me and asking for food.

This made me laugh. My nephews are just the opposite. They tend to be health conscious (but then my sister is) and will ask me if something is "healthy" or not. Sometimes they specifically request healthy snacks! And I'm just in my head like, "kid, I'm just trying to keep you alive."

7/13 77.5 kg - I'm up a few hundred grams (where in weight management for me it counts! Hehe) but it was cold and I consumed a hot chocolate or two! I love this app when you put in your food it calculates the kjs and it makes you so much more awear of what you're eating. Bring on a fresh start today xxx have a good one! We've got this!

UGW: 140-seems to be within reach, starting to get the hang of this eating healthy. Found that dieting is not my thing can't stick to it but tracking seems to work better for me. I can enjoy all the foods I like just in moderation then I don't feel guilty.

First time doing this but so excited! Recently was a surrogate for friends and delivered a healthy 9 lb 12 oz boy in February. Doing another journey for friends in few months and needing motivation for getting this extra weight off! Recently began a new diet. Hoping it pays off. Ive lost 5lbs in 2 days so far.

I was away for Canada Day long weekend so missed weighing myself for the first 3 days of Round 9. So now I'm rejoining this round. I have been trying to lose the last 5-7 pounds for a while. I have been eating all of my exercise calories back, but will try eating half for this 10 days and tighten up my logging.

7/12 - 132.4 - I was 131 for a few days before this, but up a bit today probably because of a little extra sugary dessert yesterday. Ate well today and went for a few walks but didn't get a workout in. Tomorrow I will go for a run!

This is my first round with all you wonderful people! After having two children in the span of two years, my weight had never been so high! I started this journey off weighing in at 217.2 pounds and after two and a half weeks of walking more and logging my food I've lost 12.7 pounds so far! I know it's going to slow down the more my body gets used to this, so these next 10 days I'm looking to lose 2 pounds.
Starting Weight Round 10: 204.5
Goal Weight end of Round: 202.5
7/12 - (204.5 pounds) today overall went well. I stayed under my calorie goal by a couple hundred calories, and am exhausted. Walked over 30,000 steps (trying to win the workweek challenge in fitbit!) and was awarded 1,600 calories for my steps. I'm still trying to figure out if they give me the right amount of calories for steps...here's to hoping I lost a few ounces tomorrow morning!

7/16 - 157lbs - on my mom's scale - It was my son's 10th birthday yesterday...we went treetop trekking and ziplining, I'm pretty impressed with the fact that I'm actually fit enough to participate and not just watch from the sidelines...it was SO much fun!! Had to have some of the homemade lasagna and birthday cake...so my calories were over. This is why I've been working at getting in shape, so I can enjoy days like this...the fun active part and the food part!!

7/12 - 218.2 lbs. Big drop last round. Should probably assess my intake if this doesn't slow down (although the drop is great...just fast).
7/13 - 217.2 lbs. NSV fit into my old running jacket that I haven't been able to fit in for a long time. It's tight but just 2 months ago I couldn't even zip it up so great moment.
7/14 - 218.4 lbs....Um what? Lovely water weight surprise (I guess). Ate instant potatoes again yesterday and had a root beer float just before bed. So probably the culprit?
7/15 -no scale. At bf and his scale has given me 5 different values ranging over 5 lbs. think it's safe to just skip weigh in today.
7/16 - 218.0 lbs. Well I'll take it. Ended up eating slightly over maintenance yesterday. Was inventory night at Costco (sooooo much counting and moving flatbeds) so they brought in pizza, cookies, candy, and pop for all of us. I sampled it all lol.

7/15: 163.6 - looks like I dropped some water weight. we'll see if it sticks.
7/16: 164.6 - totally expected. Way too much sodium yesterday and way over my calories. Gotta tighten up these next few days to make up for it.

7/13 - 196.7 I did not drink as much water as usual yesterday. That may be a factor. However, I have been tracking closely for the last few days and my exercise is consistent. Loving C25K, but I am only in week 2. Lot's of time for that statement to change.

I walked over 10,000 steps with my niece yesterday doing various chores and running errands. I guess that plus Aqua Zumba and a short walk with the dog balanced out the slight calorie overage. Let's just keep this off for the next 8 days so I can make my goal!!

Went out last night and watched A Midsummer Night's Dream plus ate super unhealthy. Honestly I'm surprised I lost weight. I think it might just be water because I drank a lot of it yesterday. Maybe it is from gaining muscle mass when you exercise.1 -
'm back for another round. It's so nice to come here and share success and frustration. I appreciate all of you and this journey we're on.

Finished round 9 on 7/11 at 145
Planning to lose another 2 these next 10 days.

7/11 ended round 9 at 145 am up to 146.6 on 7/12. Hope to lose the 1.6 + 2 so I'd like to finish at 143.
7/12 146.6 Big Sigh... Quite a bit of salt on beef yesterday. Then, the power went out so we went to see Spiderman and ate some candy. And Ice cream. Ate an orange=more carbs. No exercise. Back on track today.
7/13 147 Wrong way Corrigan here. 45 min on ellip but son cooked general tso's chick and I had some - but, hery, no rice! To gym today and ellip to burn some of this off. I was 145 for the last three days of round 9. Now to get back and below. To hit my goal for this round of 143 I need to drop 4 in the next 8 days. Some is probably water weight so doable.
7/14 146 gym yesterday ate wisely. drank some lemon water... ellip today.
7/15 145.2 75 min ellip yesterday and reasonable eating. LOL While family chowed down on spaghetti and sauce I had spiralized zucchini and sauce. Yum. Topped of by a 1/2 cup pasta and sauce. Feeling proud of me. Hopefully off to gym today.
7/16 145 Yae, back to where I was a week ago. Hopefully, this time it sticks. No exercise yesterday. Felt so tired, no energy. Took a day of rest. Clothes are fitting so much better. Not sleeping well though. Cutting caffeine to no more than one cup of tea or coffee early in day. I'll see if that helps. Stay strong, everyone.

I started round 9 at the same weight I started round 10 thanks to my weight going down and then back up. I totally feel ya. You can and will do this though.3 -

My WWF theory
I'm no expert and I don't claim to be one, but there are three factors that govern my weight loss: water, waste and fat. I control the fat and it's constant, as long as I'm eating healthy and maintaining a deficit my fat stores go down at a set rate, I don't gain fat when I'm maintaining a deficit. That leaves the somewhat unpredictable water and waste. I do my best to keep regular but I don't try to control it and water is at the mercy of my hormonal fluctuations and salt content of food.
So, what is my theory? Well my fat stores are ever dropping... the water and waste my body holds on to are temporary but unpredictable. What is predictable is my fat stores are leaving my body and are sometimes being masked by temporary factors.
When you get discouraged by the scale think of your fat storage as an hourglass... your body is constantly ridding itself as your hard work continues. Water and waste mask your hard work but it can't for long... eventually the loss shows on the scale... I promise.8 -

7/12 - 132.4 - I was 131 for a few days before this, but up a bit today probably because of a little extra sugary dessert yesterday. Ate well today and went for a few walks but didn't get a workout in. Tomorrow I will go for a run!
7/13 - 131.4 - That's what I was hoping for, was within my calorie goal yesterday. Feeling great today! Now if I can just stay in my calorie goal today and get a workout in, it'll be a good day.
7/14 - 130.4 - Stayed with the MFP calorie goal yesterday, but not mine, which is to only eat half my exercise cals back. Feeling great today though! Got in a beautiful morning run! Now to not self-sabotage this weekend.

7/12:182-I had salty fish for dinner and have a yucky cold, so I did not exercise yesterday.
7/13: 180 - am feeling better; should be able to exercise today. Glad I am doing this!
7/14: 180 -ugh! I walked my butt off yesterday..will ride my bike today and walk. Had salty dinner again too.
7/15: 178 - scale finally moved after light dinner and plenty of exercise morning and night. Lots of water too.
7/16: 177-ate good and exercised.

7/12 - 141.0 I think I figured out my yoyo weight by reducing carbs as much as possible. However was up for Round 9 while on vacation and a couple parties. My goal this 10 days is to drop 1 lb and end at 140.8
7/13 - 140.8 I think this is just water loss. For some reason I've had a few nights of night sweats. Not sure what's wrong...maybe my low-carb diet?
7/14 - 139.8 Hoping to stay under 140 by the end of this 10 days.
7/15 - 140.2 Too much snacking & drinks last night
