That's really awkward. Hope he doesn't ask you out on a date.0
-
Ugh. Why are people so weird? I'm so glad I'm not doing customer service anymore.0
-
I'm glad I only have to speak with people by phone. That's beyond awkward!!
Glad to see you back!!!0 -
I'm spent. Work is starting to feel more like the Shawshank redemption than a Career0
-
Just finished all of my paperwork (including ordering books) for grad school, which starts next Wednesday. All that's left is buying supplies-the fun part! Also, I'm a little nervous.
@sufferlandrian -any chance you can take a vacation any time soon? Hang in there!

Feeling sorry for all you poor folks... while I do security at the most laid back amazing Roots & Blues Festival, EVAH! (Booker T in the photo)

Bagel Sunday= More carbs in three hours than I probably ate all week0
-
Oh caffeine my friend. How did I make it through my first 40 years without you?!!!0
-
First shift back on regular city patrol after the festival.... it's the "kitten". I am so exhausted, lol, but it's only the first of 6 straight nights.
Heck! @sufferlandrian how did you manage to go for so long before you had coffee? I grew up in a Euro household where even us little kids had cafe latte before we trooped off to school.
Even a large mug of dark roast isn't cutting it tonight though.0 -
My peeps, how are you! Night shift here and wired on a cup of joe0
-
On my week of nights this week! Fun times in the transfusion medicine lab! Hope everyone's nights are going well!0
-
"transfusion medicine lab"....sounds like a vampire to me! watch out people!0
-
I hate doing transfusions. Cross matching is a pain. I'll wait for a PCV to get to 15 before I do one.0
-
Got another Laryngeal paralysis dog in. He seems to be responding to meds. Maybe we can get a couple more months out of this old boy.0
-
Why do the dogs get that condition, @sufferlandrian?0
-
Most of the time it's genetic. Sometimes nueropathies, cancer or chronic inflammation can cause it but usually we never find a specific problem.0
-
The good news? Just hired another vet. The bad news? She won't be available until May. At least that gives me a date to shoot for.1
-
May? Yikes! But at least there is light at the end of the tunnel, even if the tunnel is long!
In other news, I'm switching grad school programs and now will be pursuing a seminary degree. I'm still sorting out the details. Eek!1 -
Hey y'all I'm new to the feed... I work nights...0
-
Hi @sarah30isael and welcome to the dark side. What do you do for work?0
-
Lol thanks I am a CNA... certified nursing assistant... aka nurses *kitten*... aka *kitten* wiper lol... but I love it been doing this 6 years. @canadjineh0
-
new here too, thought I would say hi. I'm a police officer in Houston. Sometime I get bored on a night that is Q word...(can't say it or it will jinx!)2
-
Quite the amazing ink there, @Doesntplaynice82. Great lion! Welcome. Glad it's a Q night for you too. Thunder & lightning here seems to be keeping the troublemakers holed up.
@sarah30isael, CNA's are very important! I used to work in Health Care (physio) before I got into Security/Policing.1 -
The rain is just getting started here....if hurricane blows through I get mucho overtime!!1
-
Thanks @canadjineh I wish we got paid like are important... you know like the football players get lol1
-
My mom got me a 1-person inflatable kayak for my birthday, and I finally got it out today. I've been wanting one for a couple years, so it was pretty exciting!
3 -
That's going to be a lot of fun in the Kayak!0
-
That thing is awesome @jennifer_417
Welcome new peeps!! @Doesntplaynice82 Stay safe and as dry as you can!!1 -
Unfortunately too dry still, @bethanie0825. We've had the storms but no rain - fire blew up near Kelowna the other day started by lightning. 1100 people evac'ed in a huge hurry leaving large stock behind, horses etc. Most were only able to get out with their house pets and some could not get to their houses at all when coming back from town. So far holding it away from houses. 5 new fires closer to us but not too out of control or threatening structures at the moment. Ugh, dry strikes are a "kitten."
Kayak is grrrreat @jennifer_417! Don't drag it over the cement too often, lol. I love quietly paddling through the little nooks and crannies of a slow moving river or a lake. We have a small canoe but haven't even had a chance to get out in it this season. Tomorrow will be the last in a straight run of 13 nights working. Then a two day break, and back at 'er.
Are you in the Gulf Coast area, @Doesntplaynice82? I'm keeping an eye on that as we are trying to decide where to go for our winter vacation. I was thinking fly to Galveston, road trip it around to NOLA, then down the Gulf Coast of FL. Maybe not....0 -
We finally got some rain here. I forgot what it was like to get splashed by dump trucks on my way home. It was all good. Got my rain pants stashed in the saddle bag now.1
