This is so true, the negitive thoughts that come and fill your mind days after a good time are terrible. Im appreciating this thread a lot more. Lots of positive vibes coming in and is very much needed .

I bought this book, but haven't read it yet. I did read Allen Carr's How To Stop Drinking Now. How do you get on the email list for Annie Grace? Do you have to pay to join her website?
Thanks for sharing!
I went to her website this naked mind and signed up to get the free first 40 pages of her book. *I belive that's how I got her book sample. And then her daily emails.
P.s. I emailed her twice telling her my progress, and each time someone on her staff replied to my email.
I didn't pay for anything or join her program. The email is enough and her book:)1 -

Every 6 weeks or so I travel to Ft Worth (4-hour drive) and spend an intense weekend with my 4-yr-old love of my life granddaughter. We always cap off Friday night with a “fancy lady” dinner at Olive Garden. I put on lipstick and she does too (Burt’s Bees), hence the “fancy.” I can’t possibly convey what a joy this is for me BUT I’m always just wiped out by the time I drag into my hotel room and drink the bottle of wine I’ve packed. Of course a hangover is the backdrop for our packed Saturday.
Well today is the first trip since mid-December. I’m sitting on my hotel bed drinking tea and had enough energy after driving and playing and dining with an energetic 4-yr-old that I could have gone dancing. AND tomorrow night we’re having a sleepover in my room. It will be her first sleepover ever, and she’s just now ready for that. I am SO grateful that alcohol is no longer a factor. In the past I would have forgone this precious opportunity because I would have been been depending on having my drinks at the end of the long day.
As the old MasterCard ad said, “Priceless.”15 -
Ahhh, Friday night league bowling actually can be great fun, even AF!4

This is great. Last night as I was preparing a good dinner for me and m husband, I thought about the comments on here about viewing a dry evening as a treat to yourself rather than a challenge or a negative thing. I made myself a decaf vanilla latte and enjoyed it while I cooked. I was in bed by 10:30, completely alcohol free. This morning I was up at 6AM to get ready for run group, clear mind and feeling good. Again, Thank you guys so much!4 -
I fell into a bottle of merlot last night. Ended up having an argument with my husband. I feel terrible today and mad at myself. For those of you that know they can't moderate take it from me, it was not worth it. I'll be back to tea today.11

It was hard not to give into the wine or just a weak vodka. Having a splash out Thursday night the fight starts again not to go back to my bad habits.
I had a mocktail instead tonight to quit the urge and heading to the gym soon.
Im need to refresh my goals to help me to be strong again and find another drink to crush on.

Every road has bumps. You recognize the problem which is way beyond where some people are at right now. I raise a cuppa to you.4 -
Was able to resist last night. Today, book club with a smaller group that goes for a drink after. Today, I've decided it's tonic and lime. Wish me luck.

@islandbeez - don't obsess and just move on. I say this as a person who spends way too much time beating herself upl You should be wearing out your arm patting yourself on the back for all your success, including that phenomenal weight loss. WTG!4
