Wow!! Everybody is doing exceptionally well this week!! Cecy...you're a MACHINE, girlfriend!!
Sooo, I'm counting my 'cartonstenics' as my exercise today....six 52-lb boxes to lug around and test...as usual, incorporated lunges and squats as I did drop testing! Since I got this blasted headache this afternoon, felt better, then felt bad again, decided to use that since it's not an every day occurrence that I work up quite the sweat doing this!
Did my 50 squat kicks....two sets of 25 since I waited to I had my headache to do them! All I can say is, thank goodness for BodyPump squats...they felt much better to do without the 40 extra pounds on my back like in class!!
Unfortunately no extra miles today.... :ohwell:
Calories: barely under!!
Water: over!!

1 mile brisk walk (exercise challenge for the day not for the team, will do so tomorrow)

Went to bed early last night...
This morning I completed my remaining Squat Kicks. Yesterday I was under calories and met water goal.
I've also completed Day 2 Exercise Challenge – 50 Swimmer’s Presses (will walk later today at the gym or on my lunch break today). :-)

Thanks for all the updates!!!!!! You are all doing WONDERFUL!!! PLEASE try to reach out to as many of our teammates as possible today. I got little accomplished last night as I kept getting booted off the site and reading a message saying the server was too busy. I am leaving later this am and will be driving all day long so if you need me for anything please text or call me. I will be back on later tonight.

I'm going to officially proclaim this "DO IT FOR LORI DAY!!" She'll be away for the day so let's have fun, kick some butt, and give her a nice surprise that she doesn't have to bug ANY of us when she gets home tonight!! She does so much for us...I mean, look at that woman...she's already been in to psych us up and she's got a day of other important things that will keep her away - THAT'S dedication to li'l ole us!! Let's return the favor and kick the smile back to her today!! :bigsmile:

Question though.... I read Gary's post this morning to his team (weapons of mass reduction)... anyhoo, he stated that he cycled 10 miles towards the 100 mile challenge...
To quote him: "I need some more volunteers to get our team to 100 miles! I did 10 extra miles on the bike last night! Who is going to join me! Post what you'll do here!"
I thought we had to either walk, jog, or run those miles. Have a misunderstood the challenge?0 -

Gary, as in our challenge creator???? Hey!!! If I could ride a bike to do it, I'd do the whole 100 miles!! hahah!!! Wonder if that's an "accomodation" for not being ABLE to walk/run it for some reason??0

Ok, I love spying on other teams!!
Well, according to the team"Curvettes"... they have confirmation that we can " also swim or bike these miles".
We can wait on Lori for our "official" confirmation. But, it seems like this is the case and other teams, including Gary's (the challenge creator) is doing it.0 -

Gary6030 AUGUST CHALLENGE NEWS UPDATE! The 100 mile team challenge can be done anyhow you like run, jog, walk, bike, swim. Doesn't matter. IT DOES Need to be extra. So if you typically bike 10 miles a day anything above that would count. Remember it's all about extra and pushing more! Keep up the great work.0 -

wow, was reading the posts for today. Way to go Team Perseverance. You guys are doing wonderful. keep it up.
Just watched the video for the swimmer presses. How much do you think those weights were that she was using. Oh my goodness. Since I do not usually do weights I will only be using the 3 lb one that I found around the house. I still think that I will be hurting after 10.0 -

So, you know how all of this is supposed to be EXTRA on top of your normal work out routine.....what if your normal work out to start was sitting on your butt?!? Man I should have started this months challenge like that, then all these work outs would be a piece of cake! haha
My kiddo goes back to school tomorrow, which means I'm FREE! ...er..well free during the day. haha So hoping I can make it over to the gym everyday.0 -
