I think Lisa and Wendy got my husband so right. I really appreciated Wendy's comments about a mans lack of self anaysis. He is very careful to be a good friend to his good buddy from high school. Alan is obese, drinks a lot of beer while they a re out Karaoke, has had open heart surgery and is just not in good health. He has talked to him about his weight. So he is a real good friend to him. And he can be a very snsitive man with me. The man still won't let me go downstairs with my laundry or carry it upstairs. He says my blood pressure still fluctuates to much and I could get fainty. So if he sees my baskets to full he takes them and puta them in the wash, then dryer and brings them back up. Right now, most of my clothes are sweatshirts and jeans so they don't get wrinkled until I can hang them up. He carries in all the groceries, he doesn't want me to lift heavy things. So he does a lot to take care of me. I just wish he would talk to me about just stuff, not politics. I have asked him many things about things in his childhood and he doesn't remember. I just hope nothing terrible happened that he has had to repress. I know it is very important to call his siblings on their birthday. But that's about it. That's about all the communication they do. And he was a wonderful son with his Mom when she was in senior housing, nursing home , all the way up until her death. He took his Mom in mind when we got a new car. He asked himself if she could easily get into it. I don't now how many times that man took her wheel chair in and out of the car and lifted his Mom into it. He was the same with his Dad. His add looved searching for old LPs. So they would go to Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift shops to look for old records. And he helped his Dad build this huge cabinet to put them in. Then they discovered Karaoke. His Dad had developed that condition of his eyes that his vision was extremely limited to a little pinhole. He found an adapter to take with him to karaoke and he could see the monitor. He helped his Dad build a whole karaoke system in his basement. They had carpet on the walls, mthe whole thing. So he is a good man. When we knew Mom needed a inpatient rehab center, he took my sister and I all over to at quite a few homes and had some very good input in choosing the right one for Mom. Along with my brother in law, he was willing for me and my sister to be the care givers in hospice for my Mom. We didn't need that but I love the two men for their sacrifice to let us be Moms caregivers. One of us would have had to be there with Mom 24 hours a day. That's a lot of time Norma and I would have to be away from our husbands.
My Mom was a preschool teacher for many years. Every church that Dad was a preacher in, Mom tried to open a preschool. The ages there was 3 and 4 year olds. They never had any set 'everyone sit at a table and we are going to do an activity'. She did have times that they had circle time and they were expected to sit and listen even if they had to sit on Moms lap. Mom had different areas that were learning centers. She had one assistant and the two of them would work with the kids in the different learning centers. They also had a snack time, followed by outside time on a playscape and then quiet time. Mom had a very quiet tape on, yes those were the days that tapes were played, and most of them slept at their desks for a short nap, her mission was to provide a quality preschool in the area the church was located at a lower than normal preschool price. It was all part of the outreach program of the church.
Christina is part of an online program that if you have soemthing that you no longer need, you put it on this site and it's knd of like first come first served. But it is arrange with the person getting the item when the item will be available. Usually it's just put out on the porch at the agreed time and he people don't meet. Some of the things she has got is near new or new. It is expected to be part of this group that you also do the same thing and offer things free. Trinities clothes are all held for Ellie but pretty much everything Elllie grows out of or doesn't want anymore are saved to give free. I finally thought of the name of this group. All things in common. I think quite a few. I ties have it. Here in Evansville we have a facebook group called Swap till you drop. You put what you have to swap and you have an 'in search of' list on your page. A group of SUVs meet every Saturday at one of our malls with their trunks open and every one and every one does their swaps.

Hi Sisters, I'm back from my hike. It was really fun, great exercise and I made some new friends. People talked to me the whole time and I was glad to listen (and talk when it was my turn). Here are some pics from the hike:
There were seven in our group, six women and one man. One of the women works as a doctor in the emergency department and has horses too. She sat next to me in the van so we had a long talk. It took us about four hours of walking, with an hour for breaks and lunch plus driving time of 3 hours round trip so that was a good Day Hike. There is another hike coming up in two weeks time that I have put my name down for. It is longer, six hours of walking but not quite as hilly, or so they tell me. Wendy

Morning ladies, raining here today but mild thank goodness.
RORI you are so organised, looks like you have this retirement stuff nailed.
My baby brother (he is 15 yrs tounger than me) is about to become a grandad for the 3rd time. Can't believe I used to take him out in his pram. We really tease him about how he looks on our wedding photo when he was 5 LOL.
More somber news was that his MIL has only days to live and his wife is with her, I love my DSIL but her Mum was not a nice person and sometimes I resent the fact that she has lived so long and my Mum died so young. Not very Christian I know but there it is.
My DD is coming from Birmingham today with the 2 grands (or maybe only 1 as 17 yo has EDS and frequently is in too much pain or exhaustion to travel) as well as being a stroppy teen, we all know what that's like.
Off to do exercise and then sort out sleeping arrangements as well as getting ready for our Spain trip. Stressed as I don't enjoy disruptions to my plans, I do enjoy change when it happens but not thinking about it. Of course I'm looking forward to seeing them just wish it wasn't this weekend (I'm awful I know)
Happy Saturday

Kate UK- It is okay to have these feelings sometimes. It is human. I also understand about the grands. Now mine all live fairly close so I see them more often, but there have been times when I Just wasn't feeling up to it. Life is different now than it was when our grandparents were around. At least that is how I see it. ((hugs))
Husbands- well that is a long subject! Communication? Not mine. He will talk for hours with his friends, but take a road trip and it is silence. Maybe since we work together as well. My biggest peeve with mine, is that he has to verify everything I tell him with a certain set of friends. It is so frustrating! Then he gets on a subject and won't let it go. I call it "dog with a bone" . I know he loves me. But the communication thing is not a strong point. I have at least learned after 25 years, that when he is begging for a fight, I ask him why he is yelling at me as I didn't do anything to piss him off. That nips it in the bud really fast! I sometimes get jealous of my sister in law. My brother is absolutely the BEST husband around. He talks everything over with her. He truly believes the phrase Happy wife, happy life. If I had to pick a perfect marriage, it would be theirs. They truly look out for each other. They give each other space when needed/wanted, yet can't wait for their times together. I am not sure where he learned it because it wasn't from our family, but am really proud of the wonderful man, husband, and father he became.
Spring is not here yet, but already frustrated at work. Why don't people WANT to work anymore? DH's niece is suppose to be working there. Her mom, who does our books and works there, says she is teaching T to do the books. Really? What about me? T hasn't ever wanted to work an honest day in her life. With D out from cataract surgery, T is suppose to be coming in to help. She showed up 45 mins late yesterday. "couldn't walk much" cause her foot hurt (or back or knees) She can't wash dishes cause it makes her hands break out. She isn't there often enough to learn the business (like her mother) Then she left at 2! I think it is easier when she isn't there! If your foot hurts then don't keep going to the office. Stay at the counter where everything is that you need when you answer a phone or a customer comes in. SMH. Sorry for the rant- just so frustrating when those who actually own the business, don't care about the business. I am praying I can keep it going at least another 15 years. The customers for the most part are wonderful! The politics of a small family business is frustrating. Trying to hire two more mechanics. Put out ads. Got 12 resumes, called 3 that looked promising, got no return calls. Nobody wants to work. Even my dear son in law, who is a wonderful employee, is tired of the politics. He is leaving for a postal job. I am happy for him and sad for me.
WOW! Apparently I needed to get that off my shoulders! Thank you for sharing that burden with me.
Wendy- how do you get pictures on here? I have tried. I know that at some point I knew how, but it is escaping me. Your walk looked wonderful! So beautiful!
I have read the most recent posts, and have caught up to page 19. I will keep trying to catch up, but right now, I have paperwork I have to do before work.
((HUGS)) to those in need. to the successes. You are a great group of women! We are STRONG, RESILIENT, and BEAUTIFUL!
Have an awesome day!

Kylia - Sounds like it might be time to resign from the family business! Families, eh! ! ! I know I couldn't work with family. :noway:
Today my Portsmouth friend has invited me to a cream tea at our local megastore. She gets a free tea for two for her birthday because she has one of their store cards. I am happy to go and see her for a catch up and will have one clotted cream and jam scone and one small quarter of egg and watercress sandwich. I am not having bread with lunch and I have prepared a prawn and tomato dinner with zoodles for me. Should just about manage the calories.
My alcohol evening passed off well, as I managed to stick to 250 mls. The wine was delicious, but I found myself not enjoying the after effects. That's good. Next time I will try 125 mls only. I love the taste of a good red wine, but I'm going off feeling not up to par. I normally feel so good these days that I don't want to spoil it.
Rori - A book that is helpful is ALCOHOL EXPLAINED by William Porter. But a good read is THE UNEXPECTED JOY OF BEING SOBER by Catherine Gray. Very helpful on society's expectations. The Sober or Mindful Drinking movement is growing fast and there are some great drinks out there. The AF vermouth that came yesterday is a little sweet, but I bittered and soured it up to my taste and really enjoyed it.
I'm now reading WHAT I TALK ABOUT WHEN I TALK ABOUT RUNNING by Hari Murakami. I have read 10 running books since I started on January 1st. And four "Runner's World" magazines.
My Triple Chocolate Cheesecake came out fine, but I didn't have a 7" springform pan so had to use a pushpan. Quite a lot of sawing round the edge to get it out, but it's ok. Once I've put the ganache on it will be perfection. Now it's in the freezer. I will do the ganache when I take it out. In case anyone is wondering, yes, I did lick the spoon when I was mixing it. And the bowl. I can say it was delicious, but I will only have a tiny serving on the day.
Sorry for all those who are losing members of their family. It's tough if you were especially close. (((HUGS)))
DJ - We want to see more of you!
Barbie and Becca - Good luck with your husband's ops.
Much love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxx

Heather UK- It is definitely a challenge working in the family business. Just need to vent occasionally. I have been doing it for 20 years, so a lot of practice under my belt. I wish that was all that was under my belt Thank you! My paperwork is done for the morning. Time to get ready for work. I love the idea of drinking, but I am not good at it. Love an occasional cosmo or red wine, but just don't do often. I tend to drink more when I am with my Italian sister in law or my sister-hehe! I then try to drink lots of water and have the Tylenol ready! My DH wishes I would drink more, but responsibilities tend to get in the way......Darn, I hate being the responsible one sometimes-hehe. History- my mother is a recovering alcoholic 25 + years. My father died of cancer of the esophagus and cirrhosis of the liver at 52. He was a HEAVY drinker and smoker. None of us kids drinks much......
Allie- I hope their power is restored soon. Change and Alzheimer don't mix well. Glad you are okay.
Gotta get to work-ugh! CHIN UP! Positivity was my word for the month!
Kylia4 -
Joyce - your DH is a keeper even tho he's not the best conversationalist and riding in the car with him can be an effort. He's got a good heart and that's so important. Thank goodness we gals have ways of communicating with each other like this board and with other gals in the same boat whose DH's aren't conversationalists.
Allie - I know you will be SO relieved once your Dad's estate affairs are wrapped up. Thank you for the reminder to us to get this stuff all straightened out NOW so others don't have to slog through it! Hope winter gets finished once and for all for you east coast gals.
Heather and others who are cleaning out houses - I will look into Freecycle. I have boxes of chotchkies and chipped dishes that have been in the family - I don't know who would want them, maybe a craft person? Anyhow I hate to throw them out. Funny story - during the summer, people put large items like lamps and furniture in their driveways with a "free" sign and people drive by and pick them up! Sometimes when things aren't picked up, folks put a $10 price sign on them... then the thieves swoop in and cart the stuff off when they think no one is looking, lol. Sometimes I wish we were on the main road instead of a little private road - I'd plop a lot of stuff in the driveway! My DH is adamant that no one comes to the house as in a garage sale so I need to donate to the charity shop I guess.
Rori - your 10:00 snack and chat time is a great idea no matter what shape our DH's are in if we can get them to agree to it, lol. Glad you are diving right into retirement activities!
Kate - I don't blame you for getting antsy when your plans are disrupted, even when it's a good disruption! Your getaway to Spain will be neat!
Michele - I swear, you are the energizer bunny!!! I would be overwhelmed just doing 1/10th of what you are involved in!! I hope things settle down soon and you can calm down - just close your eyes and imagine you are in Florida!
Laura - what an ordeal with your Dad's estate. Glad you got to spend time with the kids in Calgary! Prairie is a doll!
Ginger - (((HUGS)))) heading your way for you and your family.
Lisa - that new rental looks great and you are so right about having broadband internet and other things we depend on handy in an established neighborhood like that.
Wendy - your daughters are gorgeous! Supermodel genes! Those hikes sound like a lot of fun and meeting neat people is a bonus. I think it's neat you are setting a good example for your girls eating healthy and exercising/working hard physically like you do. I bet as they age they'll want to emulate their healthy mom!
Ladies, have you noticed that all of the kids and grandkids and puppies and kitties are all way above average in the cuteness department? Hmmm? Another reason why this is such a special group!
Dana - Happy Birthday! Have a wonderful day!!
Kylia - my hat is off to anyone who owns or works for a small business. The risk and responsibility is huge!
I'm up early with allergies! Sinus headache. Plenty of sneezing going on yesterday so am more than ready to start allergy shots. Took an aspirin and zyrtec so have the headache on the run.
Have a good Saturday - those of you on daylight savings time, don't forget to "spring" (your clocks) forward tonight!

Ack! Skip a week and 14 new pages :noway:
Minor NSV, when Joe opened the Thin Mints box, was able to stop at two. Had to say "no thank you" VERY firmly several times to get him to stop urging more on me [sigh].
Blew AF Tuesday, feeling sorry for myself after ultrasonic dental hygiene appt. The unfamiliar vibrations and high pitch whine plus her clumsy poking and pricking. Yuck. Still managed 2 AF days this week. Amazing.
Laura Belated happy Birthday!
Machka Belated happy Birthday! Was it the 8th or the 9th? Two birthdays? If I'd felt that something on my neck I'd have been jumping up and down and screaming. No rest for unbitten hubs til he found it, killed it and shown me the smashed remains.
KJ your friend's griefs remind us every day and every love is a precious gift.
Michele "clean one thing a day", maybe that would work for me too...naaah.
Lanette, "can't imagine what all folks put in those lockers... it can't all be treasures" :noway: you are so right. Heard yesterday people are renting storage lockers, filling with trash and just walking away... presumably due high cost both of garbage pickup and at transfer station. We have no dump in Curry county, it all gets trucked inland to the Medford area. And recycling is a joke, CTR doesn't monitor the recycle dumpsters so all kinds of non-recyclables get dumped in making the whole lot garbage.
Itsme Congrats on your February successes!
Yvonne, Doesn't absinthe drive folk crazy? Good thing our hubs know where they stand in the heirarchy Love the lavender hair!
Rye I have an old Wii (not wii plus) with the add on Wii Fit balance board and games including hula hoop. Its the only hula hoop I can get and keep up What happened Monday to make you feel down Tuesday?
Sharon congrats to Jheri on painting sales and commissions Can you take HER aside when Harmony is in dance class and ask her to choose a code phrase, that when you say it, she'll change the subject? Stop dissing Jason? To protect Harmony? Having her choose the phrase might get her buy in. When Joe isn't hearing me set boundaries, our code is "Please reconsider and let's talk about it later". This keeps me from shrieking "You have your head up your '@ss!"
Terry when we got her, her call name was Tumbleweed. Hmm. Uh no... that won't work. She loved to roll down the grass hill in our back yard so "Tumble" just fit. Here's a pic of her at 4 months old on the road home.
Beth ((hugs)) and [sighs]
Carol, ugh, dog digestive issues, ugh!
Wendy Husbands! Finding new friends helps, I need my women friends to talk things out. If I need to tell DH something, learned to it to 3 bullet points and most important first. But BOO to him putting no effort at all into your relationship. Can you help him understand that he'll get out of it what he puts in? That you and your relationship are worth his time and attention?
Sue in WA ((hugs)) for your DGD and family.
Evelyn "better than a handful of cookies" amen, sister!
Joyce you and Becca are natural beauties!
Marcelyn and Okie you sure get your workouts with all those leaves!
Janetr con very gratulations on the good choices and success! Thanks for telling your DGS's story. Clean for two years is great cause for hope.
Karen in Va, Olivia tummy. Yay! Just the joy we all need.
Terry Bingo! I'd never put it together, but Joe and I have had some of our best talks on road trips. Will have to make better effort at sitting next to him.
Jita and wgail, micro actions help me when I'm stuck and down on myself.
Mary from AZ caught hot broccoli on the fly with your mouth? Yikes! :noway:
pip, what is this about checks and steps closer to financial independence?
Michele no one needs to eat nasty frosting, glad you had home made
Meg so glad to hear you so positive and content! Brava!
Welcome goatgirl, beans
Whiine! Definitely NOT looking "forward" to the time change. Always takes me weeks to adjust. Grumble, mumble, complain!
Only thru pg 25 of 34, ttyl, hugs to all,

Barbara- I had to giggle at firm no! My DH is always insisting and I have to stay firm. His favorite is dessert when eating out. Of course if I don't want any, then he won't order, so it is better for him. Restaurant desserts are so fricken calorie laden, that I prefer to come home to a bite of sweet.
I too hate this time change. It hurts me for weeks also.

So nice to see the comments from my dear friends. I also hope thing calm down so I can spend a lot more time with you. My DD is moving into an appartment the end of this month so I've been helping look for things for her place. She is pretty much starting over. I'm just thankful she is back in SC and has a good job so she can afford to live on her own.
Congrats to all with victories. Keep on plugging along to all that.

Heather, I am reading "Running Like a Girl" and enjoying it a lot. I don't plan to run but I love reading books about someone's quest to reach a goal and this book is a great one. I was going to recommend Hari Murakami's book to you, but you found it before I had the chance to. I liked it a lot.

Morning you fabulous women! My DD is home from college for the week, so cuddles and conversations are on my to do list all week. Today we are heading to a mega-shopping day (for her) and tomorrow a Broadway show (for us). Looking forward to the time, she is just full of life and expectations and promise ! Will go to back to work Monday, weather dependent--a 3rd nor'easter is lining up but hopefully will blow out over the ocean, fingers crossed.

I am not ready to take social security quite yet. I am 62 and odd change now, so I am eligible. I was advised to set up my account now so if someone has my number they cannot steal my social security. I know it is another thing to do, but I do think it is wise to do it.
We set up our trust a few years ago now. It is important to do if you own property in more than one state. Otherwise your estate goes into probate in every state you have property. It cost more to set up a trust, but as Allie is finding our it saves your estate legal fees and headaches for your loved ones.

Did an hour of the Melt It Off DVD with the added abs segment. The plan for tomorrow is to do a More Than Mat Pilates DVD
Barbie and Becca - you know that prayers for your dh's are coming from North Carolina.
Speaking of AF - while I'm not AF, I honestly don't drink much at all. I seriously think part of this is because my father owned a tavern and from a young age I saw drunk people, smelled beer, and that's turned me off. Admitted, not totally, but I just don't care for it. It really does nothing for me.
Rori - have a great time on your holiday! How long will we be without your wonderful posts? I'm sure Mars is just loving the fact that you're trying to get extra steps in
Wendy - breathtaking hike. Thanks for sharing those pics
Kate - don't feel guity about being resentful about your brother's MIL. Sometimes I feel the same way about Pete's grandmother -- why is she still alive and my mother was taken when I was so young. His grandmother can be a real nasty person. And I only met her twice. The first time she was decent, but the second time she was really nasty. But then I think of "the good die young" Part of me thinks that she's too nasty to die -- God doesn't want someone in heaven that's that hurtful to others. (sorry for the religious note, please just ignore if you feel the need, I won't be offended)
We bought a generator when we were in PA. We moved it to NC and have never used it. I know Vince was thinking that while we didn't get a lot of snow like in PA, we will probably get ice. But we've been lucky and never had it that bad.
Lynette - we had a lawn mower that didn't work. We live on a dead end in a private development, so there isn't much traffic at all. Do you know that we put the lawn mower out on our lawn with a sign "free" and someone took it??? We didn't expect that. Good luck cleaning things out. I would like to clean out the storage closet in the exercise room, but whenever I want to do it, something always seems to come up. Then I need that room cleaned out some so I can exercise
barbara - Thin Mints..oy You just reminded me that I wanted to get Vince a few boxes of cookies and totally forgot it. Well, that's OK, he has enough as it is. Plus, he got his fill when we were in FL. Recycling is a real joke when we're at the condo. They pick it up about once every two weeks and all 8 cans get filled so fast. The guy who is a custodian there just puts a lot of it in the garbage because of the high winds many times in FL, things would just blow around. I think in the 3 weeks we were down there I only put things in recycling once. There are people who (get this) don't want to have extra cans, they want their recyclables picked up more often. Sometimes that just can't happen so you use extra containers. Oh well....
kylia - so many times I wished that restaurants would have some fresh fruit on the dessert menu. They can have the cakes and pies, but also have a choice of fruit. But, of course, fruit isn't that much of a profit maker. I wouldn't care if they sold an apple for $2 so I could have that and Vince could have his dessert. But so many places don't do that.
Love the time change. Wish we'd stay on DST all the time
Beth - so happy for you having a full house
Everyone is the path of the noreaster, please take care. Hope this next one does go out to sea
Better post this before I forget. Need to make more icing for my class Tues. I know the instructor feels you should make it that day, but I never know what will come up. I want to make two batches of icing, maybe I'll make one today and one tomorrow. I know Monday I'll be busy, I always am on Mondays. Exercise, the bowling, then ceramics, then mahjongg. So there's no way I could do it Monday. Made some thinner (supposed to be that way) and had some left over. I decided to just freeze it and I'll use it this time. She wouldn't like that, so I'm just not going to tell her.

Hi I just join today and I don’t really know what I’m doing so I hope this works and I’m able to join in your ladies talks and make a few friends.10
-
Jumping in a bit late in the month, but wanted to introduce myself! I am 54 and have been working slowly toward better health for years -- taking it seriously some of the time, jumping off the bandwagon at other times. I've been pre-diabetic since having children in my 30s, have been on BP meds since age 40. And all this time I had the mind set of "this is a fluke - I can whip myself into shape any time I want." But I never got around to taking it seriously. This past December, I started having chest pain and a doctor friend fast-tracked me through the hoops at the hospital for a scan. Blockage was found and I was whisked in for an angioplasty. The cardiologist found 99% blockage in my main artery. I was shocked into action. I started following the diet plan they sent home with me, have been exercising 4-5 days per week, decided to take my diet one step further and attempted the nutritarian diet (essentially vegan) and can't hack it. It's a wonderful program but the time and effort it takes to implement is staggering. So, I'm back to following the recommendations sent home from the Heart Center.
My biggest issue, and my goal for the rest of March, is to say "NO" to sugar. It's like a drug for me. Can you relate? Especially when it is combined with refined flour and/or fat. The challenge is that it is everywhere. In my home, at church, at special events. Ex: at my daughter's sports banquet, the coach sent us home with an entire cheesecake (hubs, college age son, and daughter were at the event and were not about to decline). There it sits, in the fridge, taunting me.
Looking forward to meeting you all and coming here for encouragement!10 -

oblake 1954: Welcome to a great group of supportive women. Post often for encouragement, support and friendship.

Olivia: Welcome!
Michele in NC: You organize a great deal more social events than anyone I know. I can see why you'd feel stressed. (((hugs)))
Rori: A stay at Hotel Colorado sounds like fun. I hope that you & DH have a good time.
Joyce: It is lovely to hear all of the nice things your DH has done.
Wendy: I love the photos. You look fabulous!
DJ: Add me to the list of friends who would like to see more of you.
Heather: I'd love to see the recipe for triple chocolate cheesecake for the InstantPot. We buy cheesecake at the grocery store from time to time, but have never tried to make one. :flowerforyou:
We woke up to a foggy morning and a weather forecast of Fair. We haven't made plans for the day yet. I hope we can get outside and be active.

Wendy

Only thru pg 25 of 34, ttyl, hugs to all,
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD.
we have an equity line of credit and we are working to pay it off and we will then not owe anyone. we had sold our lot so we put that on the line of credit so a bunch of that. yesterday we put another 5k down so all we owe is 7k and are planning to pay that before the end of the year ;0)....
HOWEVER, just found out last night that it's not quite true. we owe on the airstream 7k :0( soooooooooo we really owe 14k still, better than most people today6 -
Husbands: non-communications seems to be the rule among men. I know that is profiling but put men together and they talk about everything. Change to mixed company and they clam up. Maybe they are afraid of us women?
My DH is still sick with cold and coughs, now I’m starting.
Laters!

Welcome new communicators!
Amazing how people that at first look, appear so different - have so much in common.
Husbands are all different & the same. Mine is a special guy with autism spectrum disorder. Communication is our biggest obstacle. He has to make himself reminder notes. Its sweet. One day after we had had the conversation about doing everything for everyone except me, I found a honey do list written by him for himself. He gets worked up about small things really quick. Driving brings out colorful language, and heaven help us when he sees someone being picked on!! He was treated very badly when he was younger.
Estate issues can be different in each family, and the laws differ so much by state or province. I just really try to have my affairs in order at all times. Im still pretty angry with my dad for not doing this.
I love puppies and babies of all ages! Keep the stories and pictures coming!
This morning the scale was much nicer to me than yesterday. I must have been retaining water from traveling so long in the car. The scale went down almost 3 pounds. Now my last week looks more like it should have! I've been fighting a bad cold for a few weeks now. Im going to have to see a Dr about the complications soon. I really dont want antibiotics.
Have a great day out there!

Once I've put the ganache on it will be perfection. Now it's in the freezer. I will do the ganache when I take it out. In case anyone is wondering, yes, I did lick the spoon when I was mixing it. And the bowl. I can say it was delicious, but I will only have a tiny serving on the day.
Much love to all, Heather UK xxxxxxx

I have the Genuine Instant Pot Silicone Springform Cake Pan, but I didn't see it on amazon.co.uk.
It is 6.5" and quite nice.

Joyce, Barbie, & others on the topic of husbands As most of you know, I have a female partner. I have to say, in many ways it is much easier than having a husband. I found this, & it pretty much sums up my views on this topic:
"Love is far from “all you need.”
You need mutual respect, shared goals and compatibility way more than you need love to have a sustainable, lasting relationship. People “fall in love with love” just as Kim Kardashian showed us, because they think it will carry them the distance. We all want to be wanted and we love to love yet, if you had a recipe for a strong, healthy relationship, it might look like this: 1 Cup respect; 1 Cup shared goals; 3 Cups compatibility, 1 Tablespoon love, 1 teaspoon attraction (optional!)." -Susan Pease Gadoua L.C.S.W.
