    KJ - beautiful photo! :D<3

I finished emptying the cupboard and have boxes of stuff all over the place. :( Don't quite know where I'm going to put everything. I've ordered some vacuum bags for duvets and pillows. I have lots of sentimental things that I am not ready to get rid of. Old letters from my parents, letters from friends, old boyfriends. :o My favourite is a "manifesto" from my younger son after a huge row I had with him on Christmas Eve in 1999. He scribbled it out on the back of Christmas paper. I had thrown all his Father Christmas presents (he was 20) from one end of the flat to the other I was so mad at him. It makes for great reading! :o:D
I have a box from my Mexico sojourn. Such memories. All my theatre stuff including videos that I want to get transferred to DVDs and memory sticks. It's quite emotional.
I'm down to the last applicant out of four to collect it. It's quite a task.

    Love Heather UK xxxxxxx

:'( My back is still not better. We took Bessie to the vet and she thinks that Bessie has pain in her spine and has restricted her walking to only enough to do her business and no jumping off the bed. She has three different pain meds to take twice a day. Thankfully, Jake is good at giving meds to dogs. I see the chiropractor on Wednesday. The last time I did something like this to my back, the chiropractor said that it would heal on its own probably in about six weeks.

Did 5 minutes on the hula hoop, held my plank for 3 minutes, then took the extremepump class. The plan for tomorrow is to do a 30Minutes to Fitness Plateau Buster DVD.

Katla – thank you for your expression of sympathy about Bryan. I think he’s always going to make me sad. I try not to dwell on it as much as I can (hence, my being here early in the morning rather than laying in bed thinking about him)

There was an open house next door to us. I have a feeling that they didn’t get any bites at all. I suspect the realtor (one of our neighbors) is getting frustrated that it isn’t selling. Well, they came down in price $1,000. Really? Only $1,000? As if that’s going to suddenly make it attractive to buyers. Anyway, she had me look inside the house. I’d never been inside it. It’s very nice, only all the bedrooms, while good sized, are upstairs. So that house definitely won’t work for an elderly couple. It’s very interesting. There are two bathrooms upstairs. One of them, the master bath, has dual sinks and in between the sinks is an area that’s lower. That would be great for someone in a wheelchair, but again, it’s upstairs. Why they built it that way is a mystery to me. We suspect the house across the street from us is going to go on the market pretty soon. The people (if anyone knows about Shane Watts, it’s his house) who were renting the house have moved into another house. Someone was there trimming the bushes, power washing the driveway, power washing the house, taking pictures. The lady who is the realtor next door told me that she believes that house is going to go on the market. I looked at Shane’s website and he has a post where he says “now that I’ve been in Australia for 10 months, I have no desire to go back to the US”. Of course, that was over a year ago, they could change their mind. That house was on the market a while ago and didn’t sell. I know that a lot of his schools are in the US

Barbara – we leave Aug 31 to go to St. Kitts. Her “white coat” ceremony (where she gets her lab coat) is Sept. 3 (they don’t celebrate Labor Day), we come back (I probably won’t want to leave) Sept. 6

As far as driving – I don’t like getting distracted. I don’t like to answer my phone when I’m driving. Many states have outlawed talking on the cell phone while driving, wish NC would

Allie – I do the same thing as barbie, my exercise clothes are laid out and I have my breakfast all ready to go.

Margaret – I eat basically the same way. Nothing is off limits, I just have a little bit of like a refined carb. To be honest, I’ve found that lately more and more I don’t want baked goods and now less meat. But more veggies and fruit

    Dana – welcome back!

Tracey – your daughter is going to have the sweetest flower girl there is. I take it all the girls are going to have a different dress? Will it be all in the same color? What color?

Kardsharp – congrats on giving up smoking. That’s one of the best things you can do for yourself

    Janetr – loved that cartoon

Exercised, picked up Loki’s med, stopped at the Salvation Army, stopped at Habitat for Humanity, then Aldi. Bowling, home for dinner, ceramics and then mahjongg

Tomorrow morning I'm going to spend some time with Arrow. Then we're loading up our food and clothes and heading out for a 3 day trip to an old favorite boating destination. This time we'll be aboard our RV instead of the sailboat. Our destination is Cathlamet, WA, a cute little town that is west of Longview. We've been there many times over the years and loved it, but we haven't been there in several years.

    Poor doggies,
hope your back feels better Barbie,
    congrats on stopping smoking, kardsharp,
have a great time in Cathlamet, Katia.

I am not as exhausted this week so guess I am over camping. It was a busy weekend. We went to aquafit despite a family brunch. I have been doing pretty well keeping within my calorie goal. It will be a busy week and will miss Wednesday's aquafit due to a night meeting for work.

The girl in the wine coloured dress is the maid of honour, her dress will be the style she is wearing, the other girls, therd is actually one more, are wearing the same style. Kaitlyn is having a “colourless” wedding, so all the girls will be wearing biscotti. The theme is going to be vintage. We have been buying antique medicine bottles, skeleton keys, doilies. She could probably get married this summer she is so well organized, we just need the money to go along with it all!

    Hi Gals,

Machka- ((((((((((((hugs))))))))) I am so thankful you were so healthy and mentally strong or you might not have been able to shoulder the job; and slowly DH will be able to handle certain things even if it is different things and the burden will be divided again.

Rye – I think I’ll die at 90 degrees – I can not imagine your heat!

I am watering a friends garden for them while they are out of town, they have a BIG 2 tier pond and I can bring Levi with me when I go he is loving swimming in the pond, he ignores them but the koi are not fond of the big furry swimmer.

I’ve read a couple of books I enjoyed – one is Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts – it’s not a hard read, although it does include an attack and follows the survivors; if you’ve read Nora Roberts she can get a bit formalistic, but this one seems to be fresh. The other is The Alice Network by Kate Quinn; I really really liked this one, and will be giving a few copies for holiday gifts. This is set across WW1 and WW2 and is the stories of female spies. Super interesting, and while fiction it is based on historical fact.

    Smiles

    Kim from N. California

I just finished Shelter in Place. She is one of my favourite authors. Other favourites are Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Kristen Hannah.
