Last round before I head off on my holidays and would love to be 133 something - high start weight this round due to a weekend away and being bloated as a result so not a "true" start weight and expect this to initially drop fairly rapidly.
7/27 - 136.80 so 1.8lb of wedding bloat gone. Hot here again today so really need to make sure I keep up my water intake again - sensible dinner planned - out tonight for the girls cheerleading awards night but will be driving so happy to stick to drinking soda water - just need to stay away from the buffet table!

@GrandmaJackie Thanks for setting up the new thread, Jackie.
Just worked out that I have been here for 37 rounds. That's 370 days, it! Just over a year.
It has been a godsend to me, and it delights me so much to see how it is helping others to achieve their goals.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Looking forward to this challenge. Groups always are better than doing it alone. Healthy food all packed and ready to go for today. Bought a fitbit versa last night. Wanted it more or less for a step counter. Love technology. More of a mental thing.
I feel I can lose quite a bit still fairly fast being the weight I'm currently at. I'm done with the starvation non lasting diets tho so whatever will be will be.

Welcome, @1991court! I only occasionally set goal weights and I always miss them by a mile, either way low or way high. Obviously, I am NOT the expert on goal weights!
Me neither! I've set the same (fairly optimistic) goal weight for the last two rounds and have not made it or really got much close. Then, first day of the next round (having upped it to make me more likely to reach) I get a woosh/fluctuation of 0.8kg and get bang on my goal for the previous round!7 -

7/27: 324.2 Off to a good start. Need to get back to drinking more water. I haven’t been doing that the last two days. The one thing I have found out that is working is I don’t snack after dinner anymore. I used to always get a late night snack before bed, but now I have nothing or if I do it’s a hot cup of tea. No food though. I think that helped with the high loss last round. Need to keep that trend going.

7/19: 327.6 Well, I never expected that to happen. Incredibly surprised! Did well on my breakfast and lunch,
dinner not so much. I was so mentally and physically tired that I stopped at Wendy's on the way
home. Knew it was the wrong thing to do. I do this all the time--too tired to fix a meal so I stop for
fast food. This is where my trouble always starts. So, now that I have identified my major problem, I
have to work on the solution. After some research last night, I think meal prep on the weekend for the work
week will do wonders for me. I don't have to worry about "what to do" for dinner after a stressful day
at work. I can just come home and pop it in the oven/microwave and there I go! I will say the one
thing that is working for me is drinking water. It has gotten a lot easier to drink so much of it as
long as I put some limes in it.
7/20: 327.6 Well, no loss but I’ll take it. Did have pasta for dinner and I love my pasta! Need to work on portion size though.
7/21: 327.8 Pasta again. Love my pasta, but need to be more disciplined when it comes to portion size.
7/22: 326.8 Did really well today. Made good food choices. Need to keep with this trend.
7/23: 326.8 I’m happy about this weigh-in. Good weekend—went out with friends to a “Mary Poppins” themed tea party and then out to eat with family. Made smart choices, so I’m satisfied. Starting exercise today. See how that plays into the next weigh-in.
7/24: 326.8 First time back at the gym went pretty well. Went slow so I wouldn’t risk injury by doing too much too fast. Felt good afterwards. Then towards evening it hit me. My body screaming at me, “WHAT DID YOU DO?!!” 🤣😂 The soreness has eased up this morning. Just have to remember that it will get better. The more exercise I do, the better I’ll feel.
7/25: 325.6 Nice to see some moment after three days sitting at the same weight. I’m actually looking forward to seeing the final numbers at the end of this challenge. It’s my first time doing this and I have to say having the support of this community along with keeping myself honest with check-ins and food tracking has helped a great deal.
7/26: 324.6 This has been a great experience. I’ve never been excited about getting healthy before. I’d always start off great then just give up if I had a rough couple of days. The difference this time has been this community. The encouragement and support has made all the difference in the world. Reading about your journeys has made me realize there is no quick fix. This isn’t just another diet. This is a lifestyle change. I am becoming the person I was meant to be. Yes, there will be bad days. That’s just life. I need to acknowledge that then let it go and start anew the very next day with a clean slate instead of bogged down in quilt. I want to thank everyone here for their support. This round starting weight was 333.0 and as of this morning I am at 324.6. I hit my goal and then some. I looking forward to the next round!11 -

Food ~~ 1430 calories max; P 15-25%, C 35-50%, F 25-35%; mostly clean & healthful
Exercise: 60 minutes/day of walking/swimming + yoga/stretch class 3X/week

Hubby's bd yesterday, but I ate a lovely, healthy lunch out - grilled shrimp, salad, broccoli, one spoonful of his dessert. Yesterday evening I went for a 4-mile walk along the Maumee River on the beautiful Rivergreenway.

7/27 last night I caved. I had a double plate of dinner and a chocolate bar...or 2. I didn't exercise at all and only drank 1 liter of water. I hadnt been this hungry in over two weeks. What I'm trying to say is I was too scared to weigh myself this morning so I didn't. I know I should have, just to hold my self accountable but I chickened out. Well I'm jumping back in today and going to work hard to try to get whatever weight I gained yesterday off. I have noticed a 1 day a week trend where I derail, I will have to work on that, at least until I drop a good amount of weight and then I will probably reconsider the "cheat meal" idea.

Day/Weight/Comment
7/27 - 158.5 - I was going to gripe about being this weight for almost 8 days straight, especially since I've stayed real close to my weight loss calories. Then I realized because of our out of town visitors, I've had food that is higher in sodium, I haven't been walking as much, and water has not been my drink of choice. We've got one last barbecue planned for this weekend and then they'll leave on Sunday. I need to enjoy this weekend and not worry about what the scale says. Last week, before they came, I was hoping to maintain and I need to be happy that I did.

Seeking lower bodyfat%
July is the month that I will assess what foods I can eat, once in a whi!e, outside of keto. I do not expect any loss of weight. If I eat something that makes me gain or not feel well, then "OFF WITH ITS HEAD! Lol, no, but definitely off of my foods list.
My name is Tish.

Day/Weight/Comment
•7/27 - 189.2 - Early weigh in. This end of round drop and beginning round overnight gain of ONE pound seems to be my trend. I'm officially in the overweight BMI category. Kind of a weird eating day for me yesterday. Went to help my niece again, but was rushed, so I threw some random food items into my lunchbag. None of my plans for the day were achieved. 35g carbs, 26g net carbs. Lettuce, grape tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, strawberries, cottage cheese, peanut butter

I’m in. I’ve gone completely out of control! I can’t believe I keep doing this to myself.
SW this round 185.8
Goal this round 180.0
It’s a big goal but my body is just so so so bloated that I think I’ll drop a few pounds easy as long as I push the water. If I can make this happen this round I will make more reasonable goals in the future rounds.
