07/27 - 157.2 (no change from yesterday) I had a really good exercise day yesterday! Was able to get a run in and completed the 1st week of my 90 day challenge with the day 7 exercises. Food wise, everything was on point. I'm tired today and super happy it's Friday! So looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, although a later weigh-in may sque the number on the scale. I bought a book yesterday that was recommended by another person on a similar weight loss/fitness journey called Intuitive Eating and looking forward to diving into this book over the weekend. Welcome to everyone new to this challenge, excited to see what this round brings!

About me: 61, 5'7", in maintenance since March this year. Serial loser and regainer of 20 and determined not to slide back up this time.
Round 47 report: Rethinking my goals at this time. My range was 125-130; I am now at the bottom end and still happy to lose slowly; I don't want to exceed 127 by much unless it's serious muscle gain. Some nice hard cardio last week in spite of the muggy gym.
Round 48 GOAL = Maintain weight 121-127, get some nice workouts in.
7/27 - 125.0 - yesterday feeling meh and came home from work. At maintenance calories, no workout.

@Kittu125 and @1991court I think in the first round I did I set a loss goal which I did not attain. After that I decided I didn’t need to set myself up for failure and made my mantra “any loss is a good loss!”
@TerriRichardson112 Typo on Rnd 48 goal?
@allmannerofthings What is NEAT?
@denswrex Initially I used my first weight of the round as my SW but realized how often I would have a drop from day 10 to day 1 so started using day 10 as SW. At some point I also decided to track my 10 day averages because of all the ups and downs. With only a few exceptions, these showed the downward trend. Those were especially helpful as it took me 4 MONTHS to get through the 140’s!6 -

I've been dealing with junk food binging for 2 weeks now. Some days are a total train wreck and some are not as bad. Most have just been ridiculous; I've literally been prowling about the kitchen and pantry looking at food while telling myself I'm not the least bit hungry. I don't have a pathological eating disorder, I'm bored and I eat when I'm bored. I'm stuck at home due to a fractured toe which isn't healing because I'm on my feet 10 hours while at work. Not being able to go hiking or walking is discouraging and sitting on my behind is making me cranky and depressed. Heck, just reading my post has me irritated.
Since I have my rant on... You know the person in your circle of friends who's a great listener and lets everyone vent without interruption? I'm that person in my circle. The downside is I don't have that person who will listen when I need it.
Oh yeah, I'm on a roll now and you are all welcome to skip past it and read the more positive posts.
This has been going on for several years. I've pointed out my dilemma to friends, who are all very understanding, only to have them interrupt with their flavor-of-the-week problem and take over the conversation without a second thought. (Seriously? WTH?) They're not awful people, I refuse to waste time with those, they just don't take my need to be heard as seriously as I do theirs. Past experiences have taught me that I'm heading for a breaking point, due to frustration, and things will get ugly; I'll cut everyone off and move on. I'm getting close to that point.
Rant over.14 -

@quiltingjaine
Neat = non-exercise activity thermogenesis, so basically an acronym for the calories burned not doing exercise, like house cleaning, walking the dog, your steps, taking the stairs when possible, not using the closest parking spot, etc... The idea is to move more consciously throughout the day and look for ways in addition to your exercise to get movement in (burn calories).5 -

7/27 - Friday - 192.6 - Well I self sabotaged myself last night. Didnt eat my snack, got home and went to the lake basically in avoidance mode. Starving on the way home and ordered pizza deal. Ate my hunger and my feelings. Woke up super grumpy today - stressed at work. Making a conscious effort to have a better attitude than I woke up with. Late start on water intake today. Had already planned on mexican for lunch so I'm going to enjoy it, log it, and move on. Same with last night - its over and done with. Today may not be too pretty eating wise either but honestly I'm more focused on my mental health today - I know food has a direct correlation to my mood so I'll remember that while being gentle with myself today.

@quiltingjaine @mthomas0228 has given the perfect answer. I did the Quitting the Sitting challenge in May and I learned a lot of little ways to be less sedentary - my favourite is not to sit down while waiting for the kettle to boil - because that gets me a bonus of a cleaner kitchen as well as a tiny NEAT boost7

Actually lost well last round. For me, losing more than a # in a round is amazing. It helped of course that I was just undoing the gains of the two rounds before

7/27, Friday – 160.2 Getting ready for a trip but decided I’d better hang in there and log what I can. If I can plan carefully and work through my list of things to do hopeful can have a good trip and keep the weight down. I’m visiting my kids & grandkids who mostly eat very well. There is a lot of driving though and those days are not so good. I did buy an excellent cooler though so I can avoid the fast food and stop at rest stops. Just takes a little planning. Determined to leave the 160’s behind.

@denswrex @quiltingjaine Another vote here for tracking those 10 day averages. Doing that REALLY helped me see progress, lose concern about the standard +-2.5 pounds thing that my body likes to do, and understand and SEE when in maintenance I really had a gain going on, versus when it was just the standard ups and downs in my graph.4 -
@jerier hugs to you. It is hard to stop the ocean liner when it is headed for the iceberg... And hard to change direction when your mates are so used to listener-you. Take care of yourself, maybe think in terms of paring it down to the very least you have to do for anyone until you are more restored? It's frustrating but sometimes necessary to ask repeatedly for what you want and need, habits of venting with a particular person die hard.4
