Goals
1. stay under calorie goal and tweek meals - the last week of the last challenge I had work that interfered with this.
2. up water intake - slowly improving here
3. increase exercise - the last week of the last challenge work and a Mariners game interfered but I went to the gym on another day to make up for some of that.
4. get enough sleep - I think a little improvement here

Round 48 was slower than 47, but I am happy that I am almost back to pre-vacation weight. It's so NOT 'easy come, easy go.' All I have to do now is make sure I stay FOCUSED until the end of the summer.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!

Looking for a general downward trend. Really focused on my logging, and on clean eating, and MOVING more - which is what I love - it gives me ENERGY!
I am SO SO determined!! I 100% NEED to stay mindful about my daily logging and being mindful about what I eat and drink. I need to get into the HEALTHY BMI band.
This is a long term thing, a few bad days or weeks is something I'm getting better at coping with.

In again. REALLY want to get to 190 this round. I'm just tired of hovering right above it. I've been doing so for forever. It's ridiculous. I need to realize that even if I get down to 190, I'm still obese. It shouldn't be this hard. It's not like some big accomplishment or feat. You're going from obese to still obese. Just do it.

Notes: Taking my starting weight as my first day weigh in as I finished round 48 while away and wasn't able to weigh in for the end of my last round. Had a great time at my friend's wedding, but didn't do well for the calorie budget. I'd really like to bin off weighing for a couple of days, because all that travelling and a couple of high sodium days have really played havoc with the scales, but I will persevere. It will make it more satisfying when it suddenly all drops off, I guess.Female/26 yo

Not good. Not good at all. Actually not 100% fair. Yes I was eating a little more than normal, but looking at Friday I didn't go stupidly over, and Saturday (unlogged) I only ate two meals, did lots of walking, and dancing. But there was a lot of drinking. A LOT of drinking. Ugh. Anyway, friday and saturday where okay, it was hangover day that really killed it:
8/06: 71.6 Yesterday was not good. Riding back on a motorbike for 4 hours, on a hangover, was not good. We went and had a breakfast buffet around half 10. A terrible decision, not just for the waistline, but also the wallet. I used to be able to eat enough at these to almost make it worth while, but neither me, nor my boyfriend were able to eat enough for that. But we did eat enough (and slow enough) to mean that lunch was not necessary. Then the dreaded dominoes for dinner, of which I ate way too much. After the weekend I've had, and the salt in that dinner, I am not at all surprised with the jump in weight. Pretty sure most of it will be water weight, and will settle away soon. I will be tracking the next couple of days closely to see how it comes off.
