In again. REALLY want to get to 190 this round. I'm just tired of hovering right above it. I've been doing so for forever. It's ridiculous. I need to realize that even if I get down to 190, I'm still obese. It shouldn't be this hard. It's not like some big accomplishment or feat. You're going from obese to still obese. Just do it.

Notes: Taking my starting weight as my first day weigh in as I finished round 48 while away and wasn't able to weigh in for the end of my last round. Had a great time at my friend's wedding, but didn't do well for the calorie budget. I'd really like to bin off weighing for a couple of days, because all that travelling and a couple of high sodium days have really played havoc with the scales, but I will persevere. It will make it more satisfying when it suddenly all drops off, I guess.

Not good. Not good at all. Actually not 100% fair. Yes I was eating a little more than normal, but looking at Friday I didn't go stupidly over, and Saturday (unlogged) I only ate two meals, did lots of walking, and dancing. But there was a lot of drinking. A LOT of drinking. Ugh. Anyway, friday and saturday where okay, it was hangover day that really killed it:

8/06: 71.6 Yesterday was not good. Riding back on a motorbike for 4 hours, on a hangover, was not good. We went and had a breakfast buffet around half 10. A terrible decision, not just for the waistline, but also the wallet. I used to be able to eat enough at these to almost make it worth while, but neither me, nor my boyfriend were able to eat enough for that. But we did eat enough (and slow enough) to mean that lunch was not necessary. Then the dreaded dominoes for dinner, of which I ate way too much. After the weekend I've had, and the salt in that dinner, I am not at all surprised with the jump in weight. Pretty sure most of it will be water weight, and will settle away soon. I will be tracking the next couple of days closely to see how it comes off.

•8/6 - 186.2 - Early weigh in. - This morning, I reviewed my weigh ins from the last round. My weight was all over the place. 188.2, 187.8, 187, 186.8, 186.4, 185.6, 185.2. That is not usual for me. I'm expecting that my weigh ins this round will compensate for the weights I bypassed. Those lovely increments. Today's weight for example.

We shall see. 9 more to go. 186 was my weight in early 2015. I was doing very well on the way to my goal of 150lbs, when I decided to try eating grains again. Bad, bad idea.

8/06- 227.2 Yikes. Didn’t get to check in the last two days and late weigh in yesterday giving me a round end of 225.6. I thought that was bad enough given I was logging 223s in the days before. Today the weekend continues to catch up with me. I know I didn’t gain 1.6lbs overnight but it’s a hard pill to swallow. It’s messing with my head so much I even considered sitting out this round. I’m here though. Hopefully the water retention will work itself or the next two days.

This round I am focused on following an anti-inflammatory diet to fight off whatever is making me hurt; losing weight might be a bonus with all the veggies, fruits, & fiber, plus walks and stretching/gentle yoga and swimming.

So much for feeling better on the anti-inflammatory plan - today I'm hurting all over. But I'm sticking with it - I know it takes at least a few weeks for dietary changes to make a difference. I managed to work in my garden for a while yesterday, dead heading flowers & other smallish jobs. I'm going for a walk now, before it gets too hot. Walking does seem to help a little.

I am new. Going to give this a try. Need some accountability. Focus is cutting way down on sugar and processed foods, increasing my whole food intake. Also walking at least 3x/week with some strength training, which will be a challenge because I have RA and some disk herniations in my back.

This is my 2nd Round, female, 65 years old, 5'6", live in the Pacific Northwest.

OSW: 266 lbs.
CSW: 259 lbs.
RSW: 258.4 LBS
CGW: under 250 lbs. I almost hit 250 last challenge for one day.
IGW: 200 lbs
UGW: 150 LBS

Round 48 Loss=259-255.6 = (-3.4)

Goals
1. stay under calorie goal and tweek meals - the last week of the last challenge I had work that interfered with this.
2. up water intake - slowly improving here
3. increase exercise - the last week of the last challenge work and a Mariners game interfered but I went to the gym on another day to make up for some of that.
4. get enough sleep - I think a little improvement here
