I am a 38 year old, 5'7" stay-at-home mom. I've done weight watchers a couple of times in years past, but this is my first time using MFP. I'm glad to be here and hoping the community will keep me motivated!

10/25 182.7 lbs (-0.1)/ I ate a little bit over my caloric goal and had just over 1,500 calories for the day. I ate all healthy foods, but to be honest I probably put a little too much salt on my steak. I also had good news yesterday, I thought I had injured my back but the physical therapist touched my back and in less than a second said I had a huge knot and my muscles were just seizing up from it. He worked the knot out and the sharp pains were gone! He said I could go back to exercising and that it would actually be good for my back muscles to be engaged.
10/26 182.1 (-0.6)/ So I'm actually really proud of myself for yesterday. I ate 1,392 calories when I allow myself up to 1,500 (And sometimes a little over). I just simply was not hungry enough to eat anymore, this is big for me because I normally always feel hungry.
10/27 N/A I was unable to weigh in today. We were moving so I was very busy. I did keep to my daily calories during the busy day so I am proud of that. Will weigh in tomorrow.13 -

10/25 still a solid 70kg, which is just fine, especially given the last few days eating and lack of exercise. Will abandon counting after lunch as it's my last day in my current job! Dates for my flight out to Zambia will be decided in the next couple of days.
10/26 70kg - weighed after breakfast. Had a great eve with a beautiful cake in shape of a condom :') (I work in family planning), ended the night with pizza, leftovers are my lunch now.
I actually have a 5k fun run tonight with a couple of friends, so better get this hangover under control! Diet, logging and proper exercise starting tomorrow.
10/27 70kg - very happy with this, and even if i don't get below this round, that'll be fine. Managed to do my 5k run in good time yesterday. Today I have to go back to logging. Exercise will be tidying up and sorting out things at home. Will also go for a walk to get my steps in and back to boxing tomorrow. Happy weekend all.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.Stick with the process. It DOES work! But it does take time, effort, and most of all, patience!- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

I'm in again too!
Last round was not a good one for me. I was not able to complete it. But this time I want to stay consistent! This will be my fourth round. I have ordered my Fitbit and waiting to get my hands on it! (I have a way too sedentary lifestyle)
Also planned to set mini goals from now on and try to acheive it in order to stay in track! My first mini goal for now is to reach 75kg before Nov 1st!

10/25 - 76kg Taking it slow and steady. If my scale was not moving down as I expect it to be, I am not gonna get discouraged this time! Because last round I gave up due to this reason!
10/26 - 76kg. No worries! At least the scale didn't move up!
10/27 - 75.7kg scale didn't move from 76kg for a while. So happy with today's reading! Made an initiative from yesterday to eat dinner at least 2 hours before going to bed. But still got hungry when I went to bed and so had to eat some biscuits!

You've picked the perfect place to come and get ready for your son's wedding. I am 59 and joined last Thanksgiving with that same motivation. My daughter ended up eloping but I still lost the weight! And have kept it off. I feel like a different person and am so thankful I took the plunge and really committed myself to making the changes that MyFitnessPal asks of us. 10/25— 145.8 I ate Mexican for lunch yesterday with a business group, but was very careful (but I do love Guacamole!) Then I binged on chocolate candy at our meeting and was ashamed of myself. However, I am SO proud of myself that I didn’t let that become a terrible day for the rest of the day! Instead, after that, I regained control of myself, got in extra exercise, drank lots of water and had only 5 broiled shrimp and some steamed veggies for dinner. As of right now, I did NOT gain! Lost .2 in fact. THAT is a success!
10/26—145.8 Thankful that it stayed the same. Was afraid that chocolate might show up this morning, but it didn’t. YAY! Raining hard here today, so outdoor steps will be a challenge.
10/27—145.2 Slow but steady. I’m good with that!
10/28—144.4 I’m so glad I have come back to this group! It really does help me focus and make better choices throughout the day. I’ve been in maintenance, but was slipping into some, not really bad habits, but habits that will not serve me well in the long haul. I think checking in here everyday will help me continue to be a healthier version of myself.

10/25 175.2 - Woah what? 😲That's got to be water! Crazy. I feel like I was real consistent with my water yesterday, but I'm going to be extra mindful of it today.
Also, I'm needing to work on stress management. This past few days at work I've been feeling a little overwhelmed. I've got to figure it out because this time of year through around March/April it's often crazy busy at the hospital.
Last challenge I set a goal of 6 days with exercise and I'm going to continue that goal.
10/26 173.8 - I knew that had to be water! It's my day off and today's things to do include some cleaning, getting some exercise, grocery shopping and getting some rest! Have a great day everyone!
10/27 173 - So I didn’t get what I wanted to accomplish done yesterday. It ended up being more of a rest day. I’m a little excited that we went out to eat and I still lost! Today I’m back to work, then I’ll have church after dinner. Might try to squeeze in a short workout.

Sunrise this morning was spectacular! I'm looking forward to a nice walk on the river greenway. Then I'm off to the dr's office - I was pruning a rose yesterday and it fought back. I had a pretty good workout in the garden yesterday moving two big rose bushes, three daylilies, and three hostas, and planting some mini irises I got free a while back. It rained all night and is still raining, so everyone is nicely watered in. I'm hoping to put in some bulbs this afternoon or tomorrow. One of my favorite ways to spend a fall day - and a drop on the scale is a nice reward!

Woohoo! Last day of my elimination diet! Tomorrow I start adding things back, one by one, starting with eggs. Based on lingering pain, I don't know that it's done much for my inflammation - blood work tomorrow will tell us more - but I have lost 6.5 pounds in the 6 weeks (not bad this close to my UGW) on a macro ratio of 55-60% carbs (mostly veggies & fruits with some rice, oatmeal, & legumes), 20% protein, & 20-25% fat. I haven't felt particularly deprived, but I am looking forward to adding eggs, peppers, tomatoes, peanutbutter, and muesli!

🎀 10/25 - 178.4 - An early weigh in, but I'm certain this is true. An impromptu day out with a friend threw me off of my normal pattern. Did not drink enough water. Did not drink my electrolytes. Ate POPCORN. I bought some popcorn kernels to pop corn for my husband. WHY did I eat 2 cups of popcorn? I don't even eat corn or grains. So I deserve this temporary gain.

10/25 149 Back here again, but with new motivation. I found an old tablet yesterday and was looking through old photos of myself, and got inspired to lower my goal weight to 134.5. Weight loss is first and mostly about psychology, and it really helped to see myself slimmer, smiling, looking like I felt great. Yesterday I had a really good day, lowered my calories back to 1200 and started wearing my fitbit again. Refocusing on my macros, since higher protein works best for me (carbs 25%, fat 45%, protein 30%) and seeking to hit that protein goal of 90g daily. These past 5 rounds I have indulged plenty, tasted all the foods I was desiring, and have come back to the realization that I feel better when I eat more simply. Skipping breakfast unless I am hungry, lots of salads, and grilled lean protein. Occasional treats, not daily. Looking forward to this round more than I have in a while! Have a great day everyone!
10/26 148.4 Dedicated to staying out of the 150's this round as I stay on course. Candy is in the house but I am safe! Tomorrow night we are going to a big Halloween party, so I will save some calories to snack there, but stay away from sweets. I have had enough sweets over the past several rounds to be ready to stay away.
10/27 149 Did not walk yesterday due to escorting mom to dr. and son to DMV (yay! he got his permit!) so lots and lots of sit and wait time. Ate over calories quite a bit last night and not the best choices in spite of my oh so motivated talk to myself. Today is a new day, and I am up and at em early ready for it to be outstanding! Every moment is an opportunity to begin again, have a great Saturday everyone!
10/28 149.2 Parsley cucumber lemon water is on the menu today to get rid of my Mexican food bloat from last night, but it was worth it! Hubby and I were inmates in black and white stripes, so it was comfy and the party last night was tolerable. He is leaving tomorrow until Saturday out of town, so this coming week will be a challenge. In the past when he's gone I have used it as an excuse to overeat, but not anymore! This time I will use his time away to stay focused on ME, to get my walks in, to eat how I know fuels my body best, and to spend some time introspectively and GROW. The past does not equal the future!

10/25 131.0 Met my friend Amy at the gym yesterday did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 2 1/2 minutes on the elliptical. I know that’s not much, but the gym is remodeling and have no ladies room and I really needed one. I hadn’t been on the elliptical for probably three years and it’s been almost 2 since I last did the treadmill except a few days last month when Amy and I started doing this together. Searched out my HRM and need to update the settings- the last time I used it I weighed 174!
10/26 131.0 Met Amy at the gym yesterday. Guild meeting last night and I didn’t snack on ANY of the goodies available. I didn’t even look at them!
10/27 130.5 Dinner at friends last night. Pork ribs and roasted Brussels sprouts. Had 1 adult beverage. Today my sewing friends are coming over. I’m making a keto casserole and more Brussels sprouts! Also Cream Cheese Fudge, another keto recipe.
10/28 130.5 Was busy yesterday getting ready for sewing friends so didn’t eat until almost 2PM. They left after 6 and DH was at a card game. My stomach started to growl at 8:30 so I reheated a little of the leftover. I hate eating that late but, as it turned out, we went out late and I didn’t go to bed until 2AM.11 -

I didn’t realize how slack I was on the counting till I started looking back. I had never paid attention to the protein because I am a real meat lover but because I have to watch my fat (gall bladder issues) sometimes it’s too low.

6. Lots of water, green tea daily, apple cider vinegar before carby meals. Increase my fiber. Reach my protein goal of 80g per day.

10/26 – 181.2….. Well. There it is. Yikes!!!! Glad to be home and back to routine. I have my work cut out for me, but I got this.
10/27 – 178.4….. Whoosh! Thanks Tish for that triple threat drink recipe. I knew I’d have to pull out all the stops. Wow! Nearly 3 pounds lost overnight!
10/28 - 177.0 ….. Whoosh again! Another 1.4 pounds of bloat down after drinking more of the triple threat debloating water yesterday. It’s still not completely gone so I will drink more (and make more) today. I’m down 4.2 pounds in 2 days so it’s helping a lot. I feel SO much BETTER, but I still have a bit of the round pregnant look. It used to look good on me, I would glow with that baby inside. Now, however, no baby and a little ridiculous looking for a 58 year old. So away it is going with the parsley lemon & cucumber water. Sticking to food plan as well. Just not much movement as I am tied down on the weekends with work. Contractors working all weekend in the livingroom renovation too so I’m kinda stuck here in the house. I’ll try to do something this evening to create a bigger deficit.

I was doing great on Keto, but then I went on a cruise and it all went out the window 😔
That was in August. I can count on one ✋the number of days I've worked out since we returned. I was down to 154. Now I'm back at 160 😳 (sigh - oh how I'm going to miss my carbs)

I have lost 106 pounds so far and my goal is to get down to between 10-12% body fat (Currently about 16.1%) and then slowly bulk to gain muscle. These last 10 lbs. or so have really been giving me fits, so I thought I would join this challenge to give me a little extra motivation.

10/25 186.6 - Had a pretty good day. Got a late night lift in about midnight last night with 2 miles (1 before, 1
after) on the treadmill. Need to do better on sleep. Averaging about 4 hours per night this week.
10/26 186.6 - Yesterday had an active day. Did a triceps and abs session and then ran a treadmill 5k at an easy
pace (6.5) for just under 29 minutes. Had about 15,000 steps along with the workout, so got to eat
some extra calories yesterday (2239). Deadlifts await today.
10/27 187.4 - Normal fluctuation. Didn't get my workout in because I was gonna go after watching World Series Game 3. 18 innings and 7:20 later...it was 2:30 am here when game ended. So i will try to double up today on my workouts. Also ate calories that go on today's diary last night during game after midnight so that explains the gain.
10/28 189.4 - Played and walked 18 holes of golf for over 15,000 steps. Pigged out at family get together on high carb and high sodium foods. 300+ carbs when I'm usually around 180-200 and 6600+ sodium. So I figured I would be a up a few today. It's normal for me to fluctuate 3-5 lbs based on water weight. So, no worries, back at it today and it should shed over the next few days. After losing 107 lbs, it's good to know my body well enough that I don't freak out over water weight fluctuations like I would have at the beginning.

This is my fourth round. I think the best part of this challenge is that in recording the weight every day with a comment, I talk myself down from the hype that comes with weighing myself every day. Sometimes, anyway. I have to say I still got frustrated with just 0.5 loss last challenge in 10 days. But still, noting that I lost 4 lbs last challenge, I did sort of maintain perspective! Slow and steady wins the race! We can do this!!

10/25 171.5 -- This is so frustrating. Yesterday walked for an hour, hour strength class at YMCA, hour of zumba. Finished day with 1000+ calorie deficit. Weighed in a pound heavier. Everyday I'm hoping for the big whoosh....and instead it's up 1 or 2 lbs and then down 1/2. Oh well. I feel good. I'm not starving. My pants fit.
10/26 168.5 -- I think this might be the real whoosh....although yesterday a couple hours after eating bacon and fathead pizza for lunch I got queasy and just couldn't fathom dinner, so was well under calories. 15000 steps yesterday including a walk and zumba. Also did water aerobics. Hoping this number sticks.
10/27 168 -- So excited to be in a new decade that I forgot to post it yesterday! Queasiness was gone yesterday. Hour walk and water aerobics. Went out to Chinese restaurant for late lunch. Skipped the rice and had spicy chicken and veggie stir fry and pea greens. Then...just cheese sticks and peanuts for dinner because I went with my son (who plays in band) to the football game.
10/28 -- 168.5 -- I'm pleased with this. Got up yesterday, went to zumba, did a moderately fast walk for an hour to collect extra calories. Big egg scramble for lunch and then went to a costume cocktail party with my husband and stuck to the pulled pork & chicken, no bun, and brie and assorted dips on veggies. My husband and I then shared 3 mini cupcake sized desserts. Enjoyed two glasses of red wine. Ate back some but not all of those exercise calories. Seems like my choices worked ok!
