@theslightedgeforever yes I know I have to eat carbs....just not always. Lol

@trooworld I am sorry for the anxiety attack..those are horrible. But glad the headache is gone.

@TeresaW1020 congrats on a successful time with the kids...yes we are planning Easter, then Mother’s Day..LOL

@stormysmom4 Welcome!!!! Yes we have all tried WW or are still doing it. I lost to lifetime status, but realized I need to lose a little more and want health not weight loss only. We all struggle to find outer sweet spot, but when you do. AHHHH😄

Well I feel really behind on posts. Partly work, but also I thought my cold was getting better, then mid week I got hit hard again. Today is the first day I feel ok. I’m hoping to get back on my exercise schedule starting Sunday. I also have brunch with one of my uncles on Sunday, so that will be a treat.

I checked my weight and Jan 1- Mar 1 I’ve lost 3 lbs. So that isn’t very much, but I know it’s because there were a lot of days I really indulged. So at least it is trending down, however slow.

@stormysmom4 I had that exact issue. I started ww in January and consistently found I would be over points but under calories. I finally have moved to just tracking in MFP. But I will give ww credit, it helped me in the right direction and really helped me with portion control to start with.

@cbabie I don’t know how you could cut out all sugar/sweets! Kudos to you, it’s an ambitious goal and you do so well to just keep at it. I’ve given up a lot of fast food and salty food ie chips, bacon. But sweets remain my downfall.

@TeresaW1020 running can be really hard on a lot of people’s knees. Do you have your own treadmill? I like to run but I get injuries also off and on. I also joined a hiking a club, and walking can be great low impact exercise.

@trooworld , sorry to hear you’re struggling with anxiety. I’ve struggled with anxiety all my life so I know what it’s like. I used to have anxiety attacks at work, and I would have to step outside and tell myself I was not going to get hurt/die. I've been on medication, and also have learned over time how to deal with it. Is it unusual for you?

@theslightedgeforever that’s great your trend is down! That’s what matters. That’s what really shows it is habits changing and not just a crash diet imo. – as for the day that was over- yeah I find if I don’t track that is often a mistake lol. But any experience can be good as long as you can learn something from it. Hopefully that’s not too annoying!

Well Sunday I have brunch with my uncle which is kind of a special occasion, so I will get waffles and bacon at the restaurant. I really want to get back on track with exercising starting on Sunday now this cold is over. And spring is almost here! It’s supposed to be slightly above freezing next week lol. So that will see, like a miracle.

@gemwolf110 love your boots! How is your dog doing?

@stormysmom4 welcome to the group. Congrats on losing 10 lbs. that’s an accomplishment. Your body might be processing the 10 lbs and if you stick to your healthy habits then one day you will see a WHOOSH. Think about are you hungry. Are you satisfied with your food choices. Both mentally and emotionally. Is it sustainable? You are choosing to do this for the rest of your life.

@trooworld. So if you are already pretracking then your score should be 7/7 days. How much does not getting 7/7 figure into your current weight versus your goal weight? Tracking is just one of many components of weight loss but is a different percent for different people. What percent would you give it?

I need to go. Dh needs something.

Stayed within food boundaries. Exercised 65 min Water goal met journal done. Big sticker day. Scale still up 👎🏻 3 days left to earn more stickers for a WHOOSH

    Good morning everyone

I did do another post whilst I was away – but it seems to have gone into the ethernet somewhere. Well I am back now, having a relaxing day before heading off to work tomorrow.

@theslightedgeforever – I went over calories from the steak meal onwards, but tracked every single bite so that earnt me a small sticker on both days I am hoping that as it Day 10 today and I do WI that I have not gained as I worked so hard before then. Well done on going straight back to a big sticker day.

@cbabie – so proud of you for the no sugar streak – they say that is the hardest food thing to break.

@trooworld – I declutter all the time. My rule is if it has not been touched in 12 months, it gets hidden. After another 6 months, I toss it secretly. I think I got that from my mum.. How are you now after your anxiety attack? Do you know what at work caused it?? (politics, atmosphere, workload). Wow – square feet, I had to google to get a comparison that as we are in metres here.

@stormysmom – Hi there- welcome. The reason that that you were close to your points in WW is because they have so many free foods and everything else they tend to load up on points so it balance sit out. Her on MFP, they do not fiddle with anything and you actually see what the energy value of what you are eating as opposed to someone else’s formula. Hope that helps.

@teresaW2010 - Pizza (Grrrr - kryptonite) Perhaps you could have a meal beforehand and have just one slice of pizza, or go back to the first 10 pages of the 10 page and read the section on that particular topic Congrasts on the no sweetener – how long did it take before the coffee tasted just right again?

@gemwolf110 – why are you selling your wedding dress when you still getting married, I know you postposed the wedding date. Hope the 2 weks for the puppy flies by

@gemwolf110 Too bad on the couch. God willing another buyer will show up. Sorry on the wedding dress.

@TrishasTime That’s good that you tracked all your food despite going over. How was the Day 10 weigh in. Monday will be my D-Day. I’m still up as of today. I suppose this means my plan needs tweaking. I haven’t decided what yet. Less carbs, more veggies, more intense exercise. Lots to choose from. I know it will be a small change though. Those seem to work out better for me.

@trooworld I understand completely about the anxiety attacks. I suffer myself sometimes. The older I get the more they appear. We all have our weird childhood memories. So back to the tracking. What would make pre-tracking easier for you to get that number to 60%? I know you don’t like the same meal more than once so that makes things just a bit tougher. Still doable though. Choose your hard. But what about breakfasts and lunches. Even if you had different meals during the week you could still use the “Copy to” function on the diary and whatever you ate last Monday for breakfast you are eating this Monday. You just copy it over in one click. Takes no time at all. Do the same with lunch. It takes away the frustration of what sounds good to eat. If it’s a healthy choice, then you’ve just made making a healthy choice easier the second time. Healthy choices=weight loss and good health. I had a pizza meal the other day. I usually take one slice and cut it into 2 pieces. Then put fruit or something else on my plate. This time I ate straight out of the box 3 pieces. Still stayed within calories but it did not help my weight loss this week. I can’t even tell you why I strayed from my normal routine.

@TeresaW1020 obviously I didn’t say no to the pizza either. Which I wouldn’t anyway but I could have made a better choice in habits. My old habit popped up. Evidently the correct pizza habit is not on auto pilot yet. I’ll get there. Let’s talk about weekly WW points. Yes they are there for you but your body may not process all of them into weight loss. Watching other WW members I’ve learned that everyone has their special number for weekly points. Some may not need any depending on how much is eaten everyday. You can still eat a lot of calories in zero point foods. That’s why it’s good you’re tracking calories also. You’ll figure out your formula.

@trooworld that sucks about the anxiety. I am usually fine at work, but when I come home it hits me. I last job- I liked it, I was a manager and on track to be promoted to director, but it was high stress, and on top of my usual anxiety it was killing me. I finally decided to take my current job, which is like more of a consulting role. The salary was a bit less, and it is boring, but my anxiety is at a more manageable level.

That looks like a great dinner!

I'm trying to declutter too, I just am very slow at it. I have a few things I will put on kijiji in the spring. Curtains, a window air conditioner.

@TrishasTime that's a good declutter rule! I don't think I could do it though, lol. Maybe if I don't touch something for 3-5 years I get rid of it. But I only keep stuff I have paid for, so I don't hoard things.

@theslightedgeforever good luck on Monday. I do think small changes are best. Sometimes I do weekly goals and that helps- sometimes!

I had brunch with my uncle and it was a big meal, so I am overstuffed lol. But because it's occasional I do it. I finally bought my own scale, but I haven't tried it. I expect there will be a difference in my scale versus the gym one. But I will use my own for regular weigh ins from now on.

My goals this week- get back to exercising- gym x 3, and then some cardio, not sure what yet. Stay within points.

    Have a good week everyone.

@gemwolf. I hope you make lots of money off the stuff you are selling. Kayaking is fun but kills my arms. Did you get in any exercise today?

@trooworld yaaay for pretracking. I assume dinner has the most calories so that should always go in first followed by next biggest meal. I like a bigger breakfast but smaller lunch. What do you like? Your dinner really looked good.

@its_cleo your weekly goals sound like good ones. Now time to execute. Sometimes boredom is a good exchange for piece of mind.

I stayed within food boundaries. I was really low on calories today because I’m trying to have a good weigh in tomorrow. Granny Flo came to visit me today so I’m hoping that’s part of my weight gain this week. Exercise was 55 min walking. Did not meet my water goal. Journal done. Little sticker day.

    Hi everyone

It is late in the afternoon here, the day slipped away from me.

@gemwolf110 – Did you end up selling the dress? Are you selling everything to buy something else or is it just a declutter?

@theslightedgeforever - The WI day was a loss 1.1 pounds – could have been more if I was more diligent. Do you think that our bodies get used to a certain energy intake and we will continually have to shake it up. Hope all goes well with you

@trooworld – On the pre-tracking bandwagon. This week (like you) I planned my meals and as I determined what they were, I added them instantly to MFP> I have all my meals loaded and they are all different every day. It took about 30 min of my time, the bulk load receipt is fantastic. > I am looking at rents in Santee California around the same size as yours $1475 pm (which is 2092 AUD). I look ed ours for the same range $1638 and those apartments are in the centre of Perth and furnished with a communal gym and pool . Here is the link. Your dinner looks lovely

    https://www.domain.com.au/804-237-adelaide-terrace-perth-wa-6000-12800664

its_cleo. A way to check on the 2 scales is to weigh yourself at home and then immediately go the gym and weigh yourself there (or vice versa) – then you know what the difference is if you forget and have to use the Gym one.

Back to work after 10 peaceful days – walked into where 4 people were off and so everyone wanted something done and who did they come to?

    Off to make dinner

    Take care

    Good morning ladies! :)

@trooworld, how are you feeling? Did your get the decluttering done in our apartment? Before we got our house, we had moved into a very small one bedroom apartment that was about 600 sq. feet, so I know how fast it can get out of control. My house is only 1500 sq. feet but it felt like a mansion when we moved into it. I know you are looking forward to the day you move into your house, but be warned that with more space come more stuff so I still have to continually declutter. :D That chicken mole looked GOOD!!!

@Trishastime, I should have read that page because I ended up with two slices of pizza and a slice of cheesecake! That’s what I get for going to the luncheon so hungry. It didn’t take long at all for me to like my coffee without sweetener, which really surprised me. The next hurdle is to give up the cream. Hubby bought a lighter roast of coffee so I’m waiting for him to open it and then I’m just going to have to bite the bullet and learn to love it. :#

@theslightedgeforever, I’m working on figuring out my formula for sure! Since starting IF, I eat much fewer weeklies than I used to. Right now I’m mostly concentrating on counting calories. I’m trying to find that sweet spot that will let me eat enough food but also let me lose more weight. ;)

So, like I wrote above, I ate two much pizza and a piece of cheesecake yesterday at the luncheon for our nursery workers. I hadn't had that many simple carbs in over two weeks and I felt like crap the rest of the day. Back to my IF this morning and hoping that I can get the pound off that I gained over night off before weigh in tomorrow. I'm sure it's mostly sodium weight. :/ I did do some decluttering of my own yesterday and cleaned out my refrigerator and food shelves. Now it's clean, organized and the expired stuff is in the trash.

Off to work! Have a great day! <3

    Good morning everyone 

@TeresaW2010 – I find the same when I do a carb load after eating simply, I actually feel like I have a hangover – sluggish, headachy – so I feel for you.

@trooworld – Fingers crossed for you for WI  1475 US is equal to 20?? AUD. The apartment that I linked you to is 1638 AUD with the common facilities of the gym and pool in the centre of city. Rents only get lower as you go out. I will check the link when I get home tonight as I am barred at work .

@gemwolf – love your thinking, I hate clutter around me.

@thelsightedgeforever – how did your WI go?

Hello to @cbabie – hope the no sugar is still going okay

@TrishasTime Yes on the question do you think Our bodies get used to a certain level of intake. Same as exercise. That’s why I think it’s good to throw in a little maintenance period every once in a while so the calories are slightly higher. I’m doing a 5 day stint when this 100 days is done. Scary thing is what to raise the calories to.

@TeresaW1020 I have the same plan. Basically see how much food I can eat and how little I can move and still lose weight. Lol. Life’s too short to stress myself out. But so far my plan is working.

@trooworld The great thing about your lunches is that you already will have that food in your database because you tracked it the night before. So tracking should be a breeze for you. It’s just a matter of starting the habit. The fun part of daylight savings is it gives you an extra hour of daylight to go outside and take a walk.

@gemwolf110 Great job on the Zumba. One day I’ll be a great declutterer like you. Just not today. 😬

So weigh in..... I lost 0.8 lbs. I’m pleased I didn’t have to write in red on my chart.

I stayed within my calories despite going out to a restaurant for a bday party. I ordered a cup of tomato lentil soup so I could have dessert. It was an exercise rest day. But did not meet my water goal. So that needs work. No journaling so I’ll have to catch up on that too. Little sticker day.

Morning all, I am sorry for being MIA..its been a weird weekend and yesterday ran out of time. I am still no sugar, I am still trying to find balance...ate too many carbs yesterday and I can feel it. I had some rice last night at dinner (pre package). so sodium was too much..feel that in my hands and legs..UGH..but the good news is I am still trying.LOL

I know I won’t hit all the personals, so I am sorry if I missed something or someone.

@TrishasTime congrats on the loss...I like you signed day 12..good way of tracking...I love this group you guys are so creative.

@trooworld I hope you foot gets completely healed...I miss my walking...it really is my mainstay..It’s the easiest thing we can do. For our health!

@theslightedgeforever ...I laughed it is so like you...(how much can I eat and how little exercise). LOL. how close to the edge can I stay without going over the cliff..LOL

@gemwolf110 I have no rhythm So Zumba is out of my world..LOL

@TeresaW1020 Yesterday we had a going away lunch for one of our pastors and our accounting guy says...I have never had cheesecake...I said are you kidding? He is really one of those that seems to not have tried a lot fo things..so when I read your post about the pizza and cheesecake...I was. Like yes a girl after my own heart..except I don’t eat pizza...it’s one thing I can say NO to..

@its_cleo Yes, I so want to declutter...it’s time..I feel like I live in hoarderville.

Okay gals, sorry if I missed someone...gotta run get ready for work

@trooworld yes it is the build up of the day I think. When I get home I get hit with thinking I did everything wrong, and am going to get fired etc etc. It's kind of silly, and I know that but hard to stop. Anyway I get used to managing it, I'm sure you do too. I keep thinking maybe when I'm really old I can relax! I also hate the time change. I wish we would stop doing it.

@theslightedgeforever congrats on the weight loss! For the maintenance- do you trust what MFP says or use it as a gauge? I've never tried so I don't know how close it is.

@TrishasTime are you thinking of moving? I pretty much can't move. I live in downtown Toronto, same apt for 7 years or more, so if I moved to a new place the rent would be much higher. I thought about buying a condo a couple yrs ago, but chickened out as I'm on my own. I do like my place though, for the most part.

Yeah the scale. So the gym scale is about a pound heavier than mine at home. But as you all probably know, weighing in the am can be drastically different than later in the day. So at the gym I weghed myself at 4pm. At home I will do it first thing, and there is like a 5 lb difference. So it looks like on MFP I lost a bunch of weight, but it was just the difference between first thing in the morning and later. So now I will be consistent again.

@gemwolf110 how do you advertise your stuff? I use kijiji, but I probably don't get the best price. I mainly use it for stuff that is going to get thrown out if no one wants it, so even a low price works.

@TeresaW1020 that sucks you didn't even enjoy the pizza and cake! That is the thing, our eating habits change so much the things we used to like make us sick! I find that too, with fast food especially. It's so disappointing :)

Today I went to the gym with my trainer, did deadlifts and some core stuff. Tomorrow I may try going for a run for my cardio as the weather is good. Friday I'm going to Captain Marvel and am trying to bank some extra points to have dinner or dessert.

@cbabie. You know I always take the road less traveled. Lol. There’s a method to my madness. As I lose weight my body will naturally need less calories to maintain that weight. Why cut them so stringently now. That leaves me no where to go later.

    @RastaLousGirl Welcome to the group

@its_cleo on the maintenance question I honestly have no idea. It depends on how much I burn each day. I have my range at 1467-1660. I’m averaging 1376 cals per day right now but that’s with burning only 267 calories in exercise. If I would burn more I could eat more. I’ll keep increasing my exercise goal by 25 calories until I hit around 315. Twice a week I get close to the 1600. It gives me flexibility for my social life. I’ll probably add in a third day and see what that does. Keep my exercise at the same level. I’ll have 65 days this year to experiment and see what works and what doesn’t work.

@gemwolf110 It’s good there are so many forums to sell things. What good choices did you make today?

@trooworld can you do chair aerobics in the meantime until your plantar fasciitis gets better? Something to burn off the calories

I stayed within my food boundaries. Took another rest day. Just didn’t feel good but got in about 36 min walk. Just didn’t burn enough calories to call it an exercise day. Water seems to be a problem this week. Journal done. Little sticker day.

    Good morning! :)

@cbabie, Great job sticking to your no sugar plan!! <3 I’ve been doing really good with mine too until I ate that cheesecake! I could eat pizza every day of my life. Fortunately, I do know how to make it much more healthy than Papa Johns. B)

@its_cleo, it does suck that I can’t enjoy what I used to eat without feeling yucky. It would suck a whole lot less if I would remember that before I ate. :D I hope you love the movie! :)

So, I lost a tiny amount yesterday and I have no one to blame but myself. :/ But I'm not dwelling on what I did wrong and instead I'm focusing on what I'm doing right. I've got a plan I'm excited about and it's a lifestyle. So, cheesecake and pizza will happen and that is OK. One of the things I'm thinking about, even though I'm NOT ready yet, is to quit WW. I'm wondering if the mental aspect of the Tuesday weigh-ins is doing more damage than good? Yesterday, I was so frustrated to only lose .2 lbs. and then this morning the scale is down 1.4 lbs. I don't know but I'm doing some serious thinking about what I want going forward. :|

@trooworld there are lots of states out there trying to get rid of time change. California wants to keep daylight savings time forever. Maybe one of these days. When do you expect you’ll be able to get back to exercising regularly? In the meantime your food intake has to be spot on. How many meals did you track today?

@TeresaW1020 remember the other day when I made a joke about you changing your weigh in day at WW. Now it seems to be a pattern. Too much of a coincidence. Sounds like too much sodium the day or two before your weigh in day. What’s routinely on your schedule on those days? Is it possible to change your meeting to a different one. Or do you live in a small town where there’s only one? Is WW really helping you? The concept of freestyle, points, or is it just you like someone weighing you each week? Lots to think about.

@gemwolf110 Good for you on your good day. Did you enjoy the donuts? You all know I march to a different beat. There’s a difference between 1 donuts and 3 though. Having donuts once a blue moon versus every morning on the way to work. It all needs to fit into your plan. So you took a pause on your plan. Now that you got that out of your system you can move forward.
    Ouch on puppy.

Stayed within food calories. Did 46 minutes of exercise. Water goal met journal done and finally big sticker day.

@trooworld I see, well good luck with your condo hunt, I hope you find a great place. I don’t go to the movies much, but I tend to go to all the Marvel movies for the fun. Do you like baseball? Do you root for the Dodgers? I like the Dodgers, I’m sure that seems odd for a Canadian, but I just got into the team one year and I really like them. I mean I like the Toronto Blue Jays, but they always break my heart. So they I turn to the Dodgers for solace. Of course they break my heart too lol. I might be a jinx.

@theslightedgeforever are you in California too? I can't remember.

@teresaw2010 the scale is definitely a double-edged sword. For a long time I found it had a negative impact on me. What if you just did weighins every 10 days instead of a week? But losing a little bit is still better than gaining. You’re right those days will happen, we’re all human.

@gemwolf110 hope the little guy recovers soon!

Well today I was cranky and stressed and my go to food is Harvey’s like a bacon cheese burger and poutine. And I really wanted it. But I came home and had my boring old fish and a lentil salad. I also had lunch with a friend, and it was just a chicken wrap so not too many calories. So I feel good about today overall. I'm over but by 60 cals instead of 1000 which is what Harvey's would be.

At the gym with my trainer today. We did modified pullups and pushups. One of my goals is to be able to do full pushups and pullups. I’m close with pushups but pullups are super hard. Not sure I will ever be able to, but it was a good workout.

@trooworld Good for you on the chair yoga. As you age your body will thank you later. Too bad you don’t have access to a pool like a YMCA.

@its_cleo Baseball. Yaaaay. I’m a huge fan Go Yankees. My DH used to coach my sons in Little League. 10 years my social life was spent at a ball field. I do miss it though. No, I’ve always wanted to go to California. Seems so beautiful over there versus the boring Midwest. At least the leaves are pretty in the fall. The grass is always greener as they say. So I’m learning now to appreciate what I have. So what is poutine? Great choice you made today on no Harvey’s. Keep working at those pull-ups and pushups.

Stayed within my food boundaries but ate a whole bag of cheese popcorn for lunch. I’m working on eating just 1/2 a bag. That’s a lot of sodium I didn’t need. Exercised for 60 min. Water goal met. Journal done. Big sticker day

@theslightedgeforever I don't mind the Yankees, except Tulowitzki he can suck it lol.

Ah poutine- food of champions. Sorry this is so big! French fries, cheese curds, and gravy. It's actually from Quebec. Delicious but like a zillion calories. Some places add bacon crumbles on it....

    Good Morning everyone

Sorry I have been MIA – Had a virus which involved throwing up etc – so I have been sleeping a lot. My 100 day plan went out the window, so I have started today from where I left off before I got sick.

@theslightedgeforever – Congrats on your loss – well done. I do love your ticker. Great on the big sticker day. What defines the Midwest in USA??? That Midwest in Australia would be the a huge desert area we have in the middle of Australia (excerpt below)

A full 35% of Australia receives so little rainfall, it is classified as desert. 70% of the country is classified as arid or semi-arid, which means it gets less than 500 mm of rain a year.

@trooworld – Sorry about the gain, but I hope your feet hold up for the 5km walk. Can you not go in the pool in shorts and T-shirt over your bathers?. Remember anti-inflammatory cream is your friend and needs to be applied before you walk

@cbabie – Was @theslightedgeforever always like that (seeing how close to the edge she can get?). I think that is a great way to live, dong just enough to get by and living life to the fullest.

@its_cleo – I look forward to the day when I do not work. I think the politics at work wears us all down as we grow older.. No we are not moving – @troowrold is saving up for a condo and we were just comparing houses from one country to the other… Hope enjoy Captain Marvel.

@teresaw2010 - Okay – you need to ask yourself – why are you continuing with WW.. Is it to get to lifetime status? Is it to prove something to yourself – is it worth the stress? Remember we all have to find the plan that works for us and if WW is not working for you then you need to let go. If it s LTM – I will send you something when you get there (promise)

@gemwolf110 – Hope all goes well with the puppy, I hate to think of your vet bills at the moment. Do you have pet insurance over there? What is RI???

@prisoner2food – Hello – I am sorry you are not well, it seems everything has caught up with you too. How are you doing on your goals etc and what is the one thing you are going to do today that fits in your plan before you got so ill

@prisoner2food I hope you get better. I had a bad case of bronchitis one year. Took me a while to get over it. I’m glad you have your dd there to help care for. you.

@trooworld Anxiety is a tough thing to deal with. But it can be overcome. They have those bathing suits with a little skirt on them. Mine is two piece but doesn’t show any belly because the top is like a long halter top. I got it at Walmart. So I’m really only showing my arms and mid thigh down. Do you have some good music ready for your 5K?

@its_cleo Ha on the Yankee player. At least you didn’t diss them all like most people do. The poutine looks yummy. Better with the bacon probably. Now you’ve lost me with the duck poutine. 😀 I’m a simple eater. Although just thought I’m more complex than my sister who doesn’t like pizza.

@gemwolf110 Great news on your sister wanting to get healthier. Invite her on here Insurance should pay for neutering. They just want more little puppies out there that need to go to the vet. More money for them. I have some cauliflower in the fridge I need to do something with.

@TrishasTime My definition is probably different than the official description of the Midwest. I’m from Southern Illinois. Right smack dab in the middle of US. (Must go check google maps to see if that’s true or only in my mind) So Midwest to me is IL, IA. Oh just thought I’m talking to an Aussie who has no idea what these letters mean. 😂. Ok Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana. So think for the most part small towns, farming, cornfields, sticky hot summers, cold snowy winters, etc. we do have the occasional big city. Chicago of course is my favorite. Sorry to hear you were sick. So back to the 100 day challenge

So as they say in 100 day challenge land, I took a pause. Big fat pause. Over calories by 300, no exercise, not enough water. I did journal though. But no sticker not even a little one. I also went back and reread my notes on Day 1. The question was what kind of behaviors in the past have made you put on weight. Almost everyone of those behaviors I did today. So this can’t continue. Back to doing what I have successfully done for 70 days.

    Good morning! :)

@theslightedgeforever, you are right that there is a pattern to me eating too much sodium and it is showing up a couple of days later on the scale. I could change my WW meeting time but it’s not convenient for me to do so with my current schedule. Is WW really helping me is the question and from what I’m learning lately I would say no. Their recommended eating program could be the very reason I haven’t been losing. It is the scale accountability that I like the most and I’m starting to wonder if I really need that. Gaining on a Tuesday because I overindulged on a Sunday is getting old. Hubby and I are talking a lot about it and he thinks that I should go slow on my new lifestyle until I’m sure of what direction I plan to stick with.

@its_cleo, yes, the scale can be a double-edged sword for sure! I just read a great book where the woman talks about averaging your weight every week instead of just going by the daily or even the one day a week number. I use the app Happy Scale and it averages so I’m going to pay attention to that and stop beating myself up so much. I gotta tell you that the poutine looks delicious!! I’ve never had it but I would be willing to travel for a taste. :D

@prisoner2food, Wow so sorry you have been so sick! I had pneumonia a few years ago and spent 6 days in ICU so please be careful and take care of yourself. <3

@trooworld, walking a St. Patrick’s Day 5K sounds like a lot of fun! I sure hope you don’t regret it with your foot! :#

@gemwolf, that is great that you and your sister are going to buddy up and help support each other. Having a good support system is so important to our success. :)

@Trishastime, I’m sorry you have been sick. Seems to going around with a lot of people I know. As I wrote to @theslightedgeforever I am seriously thinking about my reasons for being a WW member. I wanted it to work for me and be a real lifestyle but I’m starting to think that it’s not the lifestyle that will work for me and I’m also thinking about what I can do with the money!! B)

This has been such a busy couple of weeks at work! We decided to do an Easter campaign that involved creating and ordering postcards, invite cards, banners and other items. Then we decided to redo our church brochure and order T-shirts for all our volunteers. One guess who got to take lead on all that fun stuff. o:) Then our website went down and is still giving me grie,f. On top of that I’m giving a baby shower on April 6th and still haven’t really planned anything or handed out the invitations. Ugghhh!!

On top of all my work stuff, I am obsessed with reading all I can on intermittent fasting. I’m on day 24 and so far, I’m loving it! I’ve been doing fasting for 19 hours for the last four days and the scale has been moving downward. I break my fast with a snack and eat a great dinner. This morning I read a fascinating article from Dr. Jason Fung about how insulin is the key factor to obesity and that the more the body produces insulin the bigger we get. Two things cause the greatest rise in insulin and that is simple carbs and protein. I knew and understood the carb thing but it’s the protein that really surprised me. WW teaches us to eat lot of protein and I did just that. Eggs in the morning, protein bars and Greek yogurt for lunch, more meat at dinner. Protein drinks for snacks. Then there was the all-day long supply of artificial sugars I kept putting in my body. I really didn’t think I could give up putting Truvia in my coffee and tea but I have and it’s was amazingly easy. Anyway, I feel really hopeful and excited, but I’m also being careful to educate myself.

OK, I’m off to workout and then tackle this huge to-do list I have for the day! :)

@TeresaW1020 that's great you're doing so well on the fast! Interesting on the protein too. I eat a lot of protein. To be honest, though, I find there are so many conflicting articles out there about what to eat. I never know what to believe. Good luck with your to do list!

@trooworld I'm not comfortable swimming either. The only time I do it is if I'm on vacation somewhere and there is a beach. I decided to just wear shorts and a tshirt. One advantage of that is it prevents sunburn too. But I wouldn't like it in a pool either.

@theslightedgeforever we all tale a break sometime. That's great you can go back and see notes and things to help get back on track.

@gemwolf110 good luck with the wedding dress. That's such a shame that you're having trouble selling it.

    @TrishasTime hope you're feeling better!

Well I saw Captain Marvel and I enjoyed it, but it was not my favourite Marvel movie or anything like that. I found it a little low key and it isn't as funny as some of them, but I enjoyed it. I thought Brie Larson did a very good job.

There was good news and bad news on the food front. On the restaurant I had a burger that put me way over calories, but I didn;t have french fries, and I didn't have popcorn at the movie. Before I went I read about the calories on movie popcorn and couldn't get it out of my head.

So I am over calories this week- I feel like I am most weeks! But by less than I could have been.

    Have a good weekend all.
