    SATURDAY

    Good morning,

Stayed up late watching dvd and for once slept straight through night which is rare. Back for more before dog walk and errands. Just one more errand to CVS so nothing too difficult.

Will make salad I posted yesterday. Lady I know who is pregnant - knitting blanket for - is having to go on leave early - she is gestationally diabetic and this recipe has many ingredients she bought the night before. It is vegetarian but she could add cooked chicken without any difficulty as it is a salad.

My new lunch bag and another resuable grocery bag came in the mail.

Dawn, Those scentsy buddies are adorable.

Morning all!! Chilly, but beautiful morning.

Sara - LOL! Well right now it is Tiger basketball, and we are in the middle of conference championships and then (hopefully) one of the invitational post-season tournaments. I confess that I am equally rabid about Tiger football in the fall though. I have to have a pressure valve to relieve the work craziness, or I'm afraid the top of my head might pop off!! :# This way I get to scream, and jump up and down without getting carted off in a net. Got LOTS of steps in running all over downtown yesterday, and plan to do the same today. 10 flights of stairs, and 10k steps again.

Housework last night since we have just been running in and out the last few days. Putting the guest room back together now that Baxter and son are in their new home. He and his sweetie are working so hard to turn that house into a home again. Started reading a new book before bed and the jury is still out. Fell asleep before the first chapter done.

Hope you all have a fabulous Saturday. Eat well, love well, laugh often!!!

    Morning all,
Just got back from 3 mile walk with jack. It was very eventful. 12 deer, a rabbit, squirrel, and red wing black birds. The roads were completely clear. No more ice! I haven’t done that stretch since last summer. So peaceful and serene.
    The weekend is starting ggrreat!

    Happy day to everyone!!!

    SUNDAY

Good morning, Happy St Patricks Day and March Madness

Suzu our weather is so bizarre that I could not tell you what month it is. Freezing hail one week and low/mid 70's until Wednesday (more rain). Hope your team does well.

Salads made last night, so lunch and a couple dinners made for week. 20 bags of stuff thrown out so far. I do start to see the difference - but not done yet.

Today is hopefully quiet. Knitting and nap with any luck. Dog now is letting me sleep in another hour (time change?) and that is appreciated.

Wondering if there is a QOTW pending???

    Wave to all who follow.

Birdie - That 3 miles sounds amazing! It is in the 30s now, but supposed to hit 60 by afternoon. i'm going to try to get out this afternoon when I finish my canning project.
Well the Tigers gave a valiant effort, but lost yesterday to an excellent Houston team so that frees me up this afternoon.

Last night we headed to the international market for peppers. Pounds of Jalapenos (green and red), serranos, habaneros, along with red and green bell pepper, onions, and garlic. Canning pints of hot chow-chow. We opened the last jar of the 2018 batch this week and time for new.
I can remember my mother-in-law grinding these peppers on a hand grinder and bless my food processor!! I still can using traditional methods, but thank goodness for modern appliances! For this recipe all of the peppers go (in batches) in the food processor along with 2 large onions, 3 cloves of garlic, salt, sugar. Then the mix gets barely covered with apple-cider vinegar and is cooked for just a bit. The peppers need to maintain color and integrity, but soften a little. Then the mix goes into hot jars that get canned submerged. I'll try to post some pictures after.

I'm starting yet again, after a very long break. Just started logging my food but have yet to jump on the scale for my new starting weight.

I did great before, when I was tracking my food and activity. Just got a new phone which runs the MFP app, so that's really why I'm back again.

    Hi to all

Suzu, yumm! I so love jalapeños but I’ve never canned . I make fresh salsa often but sparingly on jalapeños due to DH acid reflux.
Weigh in 180.5. Fingers crossed next week in the 170’s club.
Tilliesmom could use something inspirational to ponder. Looking forward to QOW.
    Happy St Patrick’s Day🍀

    MONDAY

    Good morning,

Scale is my friend today down 1.8 pounds. Got back in the WW mindset. So here is my QOTW (give you time to think about this).

QOTW - How do you reward yourself for doing well weight/health wise without using food?

AOTW - I have purchased jewelry (no longer) or hair products (costco size containers) so I am looking for another solution - food rewards keep getting in the way.

Rain on horizon Wednesday so hope to get out and walk more before then.

Lurking from work. Wave to all who follow.

Good morning Sara! Waves to all~~

Your question is a really good one. I still reward with food, meaning I fall off of the wagon and indulge. Dang.

    246.0 today

Aotw: big reward is a skirt I ❤️ from Talbots . That is down the road though. Mini reward goal is going to be a facial or massage. This truly will be a treat! 175 weight is going to be spa day!
Unfortunately I need to change my mindset too, as high cal desert or cocktail tends to be way to many rewards for small losses.

I think I may be developing an allergy to coffee. I suddenly have developed facial rash and itching. I’ve been a coffee drinker for30 yrs. I stopped drinking for 1 week to see if coffee was causing the problems. Had 2 cups today and problem is back.
Health insurance takes effect May 1st so I won’t be able to get tested for allergy for a while. In time being, coffee is out😢.

Positive thoughts this week! Goal to clean the junk drawers and gather stuff adding clutter for donations.

    Happy wishes to all!

    Hello!
MFP is being weird to me. Won't let me like posts says I have to sign in, yet says I am signed in. Hmmmm.
Birdie - isn't this weather awesome! I too have increased my walking with the clear streets and warmer weather. I hope flooding did not do any damage. We had an amazing amount of water, but it stayed out of my house!
The best part of a long winter is the spring - Robins, cranes, geese and ducks are coming back. So great to see them!
I have to catch up on other posts - got a little behind.
AOTD - Shoes boots or other footware! Or get my nails done!

7842 steps yesterday. Am trying to get back into routine to stay after work and walk on treadmill some every night.

Was late for work this morning due to misplacing my office keys. Was going insane looking for them. Called office to have someone see if I left them on my desk. Eventually, after the third time looking there, I found them in car. They had fallen down between console and drivers seat into small gap in carpet so were partially under the carpet when I eventually found them. While I was thrilled I found them, my next problem was that I had pulled hair back into a messy bun this morning. Well, the bun, loop, and bobby pins got caught on something under my dash as I was trying to extricate my keys and myself from the floorboard. So here I am, literally stuck in my car. Husband asleep in house. Phone in house. So no help coming anytime soon. After some twisting and writhing, was able to reach back and get hold of my hair and after lots of manipulation, a couple good hard yanks, and a few well placed curse words, I was able to free myself. There was a chunk of hair still hanging from the dash when I got back in car to drive to work. Hopefully I don't have a bald spot on the back of my head now..... ouch!

Hope this isn't indicative of how the rest of my day will go....
