This week's challenges: Second week of grad school: STRESS EATING! The very last thing that I wanted to do was post about my three pound gain. I told myself that I wouldn't post until I lost it BUT that is a slippery slope for me. In the past when I stopped recording until I "got back on track", it would be years and many gained pounds before I reigned it in so I am choosing to post about my 3 pound gain. I spent some time journaling about where I'm going wrong and reading success stories. I'm a little scared that I won't get back on track because that is my pattern...get sloppy with my calories and slowly lose all motivation until I've gained a ridiculous amount of weight.4 -

- my planned weight loss plan hinged on my husband being out of town most of May and June - It's much easier to meet my nutrition goals when he's away. He didn't end up going anywhere.
- adjusting to the new work schedule has sapped my energy, so my gym trips feel like drudgery instead of fun

I’m all in on this challenge. Starting in the 25th week of 2019 gives me 27 weeks to lose 27 pounds. That will put me at a healthy 160 pounds. I think that is a very realistic, attainable and sustainable weight for me. I used to be 5’ 6” for most of my adult life. However, 69 years of gravity has evidently pulled me down to my current height of 5’4.5”. So, as well as getting fatter, I’m getting shorter!
In my adult life I have weighed everywhere from 130-212 pounds. Last June 22, 2018 I weighed 169. I know I can reach my goal of 160 in the 27 weeks left in 2019, because in 2018 my lowest weight was 156.8 pounds. I want to get back there and stay there. One pound a week seems like a very sensible approach. The 25th week of 2019 started on Monday, so that is when I will check in each week. I’m looking forward to reading all of your stories as we pursue our goals together. See you all next Monday.

This week's challenges: I ate pretty poorly this week and went over my calorie goal pretty much every day and but a decent amount too. Unsurprisingly, I didn't lose at all.
