Challenges: I'm still struggling to create and keep regular habits around exercise and mindfulness, I do get at least a short walk in most days and a long walk about once or twice a week, but I really have to step up my game in the regularity of mindfulness and strength training (which I have started and stopped many times now).4 -

This week's challenges: Loss of .3 lbs this week doesn’t reflect how hard I’ve been working, but I have been eating later and sleeping poorly so hoping for better results next week. I’ve been tracking daily so I’m used to some weeks being better than others, but still frustrating when your logging and exercising daily.
Sounds like you are doing well with eating and exericise, and I'd recommend working on sleep and meal times to get a result you're happier with.
In my experience, quality of sleep and timing of meals makes a significant difference. I've shifted to eating my meals about 2 hours earlier than I used to, but when I get busy and have a later meal my weight almost always goes up the next day even if I haven't eaten extra calories. I've also worked hard to improve my sleep (if you look at how our hormones affect fat burning, sleep is really important).

Thanks Tammie! It's a bit of a slog, but just got to keep at it. I'm more worried about how to achieve "maintenance" once I've lost the weight, as I have lost and gained a number of times over the years, so while I have worked out what works for me to "lose" weight when I have the time & energy to focus on it, but I find when I hit a stressful part of life that it can all go out the window as my energy goes into whatever other problem I have to deal with. I'm really hoping this time I'll be able to keep it off long term - and I think what might help me is Intermittent Fasting which is new to me, and something I think is sustainable in a way that other tactics haven't been so easy to keep up for me..1 -

Successes: Blood test results have shown improvement in my insulin resistance - if I have the same reduction over the next three months I will be back in the "normal" range! And last week I got back to strength training, which I have a renewed commitment for.
Challenges: My daughter's birthday yesterday, decided to relax and eat some food I wouldn't normally, it was a good day, but it did pretty much wipe out my week's weight loss (yesterday morning I weighed in 1 kg / 2.2lbs lighter than this morning). Anyhoo, it only happens once a year, I can live with it.3 -
