07/22 203.7 – I haven't been on as much on here. Every time I try to log on it was booting me out and I couldn't get to this page. So bummed that my weight went back up again. I keep yoyoing around the same weight for the past few months
07/23 204.8- Not surprised. I kind of gave in and just had a sandwich for lunch and I wanted to have something healthy for dinner, but the line at the market was taking forever, so I ended up having Wingstop Aaaand a late night boba drink (minus the boba) I did go to the store last night and grab a salad for work today. I'll also be spending the night at my boyfriends these next couple days because it's our 4 year anniversary which also means prob lots of celebration food and no scale for a couple days. Oh Lord give me strength!
07/24- DNW
07/25- DNW
07/26- 206.5- Yup Anniversary totally screwed me up. It's funny because I walked a lot at the beach and Disneyland and didn't even eat much or anything bad. Not sure what I did wrong
07/27- 205.9
07/28- 205.5- Getting better. Worried about tomorrow because I'll be going to the OC Fair with friends I haven't seen in a long time and have a birthday right after.
07/29- 205- So happy it sent down instead of up from yesterday. I walked A LOT! I ended up having an orange chicken bowl at the fair and a couple fries oreos and a beer. Also had a slice of pizza at the birthday and a coke But I've had enough of my crap of falling off the wagon, so I have a poke salad I'm having for lunch (got the poke from Gelson's) and planning to meal prep this week and push myself to start going to the gym again. I fell off way too hard this round and I keep getting further from my goal. Really really need to stop giving in and letting others throw me off track. Going to try to reach my goals these next couple rounds. Also updating my challenge GW because losing 5lbs in two days sounds terrible
07/30- 204.5- Slowly making progress. I didn't have a great dinner last night, but didn't eat super heavy either. I invested in a Hydro Flask and have been upping my water intake Going to have the rest of my poke salad today and need to plan dinner. I have a dentist apt today, so not looking forward to that
07/31- 203.7- Happy to at least be less than what I started this challenge at, even if it's a tiny loss. My food is getting better, I'm really trying to be more on top of it. It's been hard for me to work out or get in the gym because by the time I get home from work I'm ready to knock out and am usually asleep by 9pm. Also doesn't help I haven't been sleeping well lately and keep waking up around 4am. Hoping for better results next round!11 -
Female - 66, height 5’ – Round 83
This thread is so great for helping me evaluate where I’m at and keeping focused. All my ups and downs are right there. I want to be down further but obviously have to work harder at it as I haven’t lost a whole lot in the last year. On the other hand, I haven’t gained, which I had been doing before I started. Working to be down a lb. this round and add in ab exercises & a little walking. Grandson (17) will be visiting for 5 days so will be extra busy.Round 39 (1st for me) – SW 163, -.2Day/Weight/Comment

07/22 – 162.8 – Up a bit as meals were rather random yesterday. Always feel then like I haven’t eaten much when actually I’ve eaten a lot more cals. and fat/salt. Off to the dentist today for minor work. Have been whacking away at weeds that snuck up on me during my trips and almost ready to tackle some bigger projects. Grandson coming Thurs. so need to do some food prep.
07/23 – 162.2 – Spent last evening organizing embroidery floss till way too late but no LNS!
07/24 – 163 – Appt. and shopping in the city, so a little too much random snacking, esp. salted nuts. Today is stay at home and tidy up so being mindful.
07/25 – 161.8 – I don’t know if I deserve this but I will take it. LNS last night but on Raincoast Crisps which are not low calorie (because of the nuts and dried fruit in them) but have lots of fibre. I think the real key for me is – almost no sitting. No biggy exercises, just busy all day tidying, picking raspberries, etc. Just what all my days were like when I was younger and had little kids.
07/26 – 161.4
07/27 – 162.4 – Ah, salted nuts last night … Will try to be extra good today to compensate.
07/28
07/29
07/30
07/31 – 163.6 – Part of this is salt – trip to the city yesterday and some snacking/stress eating but still a gain. Had company Friday – Monday so didn’t track. No trips or company for all of August so a great time for a reset and focus on better tracking and exercise. See you all next round.

22: 239 Feedback: Hydration affects weight. I totally didn't drink enough water yesterday! Not sure what was up. I'm usually really good about having enough, but I only drank about half of my usual intake.
23: 239.2 I'm completely at peace with this. We took my younger daughter and her best friend to Sea Life and the Minnesota Zoo yesterday. That meant mall food plus 7 hours of driving. I enjoyed Auntie Anne's pretzels for lunch(way more carbs than I'd usually eat in one sitting), and had a Caesar salad with shrimp for dinner. I even managed to stay pretty close to my IF schedule. I finished eating about an hour later than usual. I feel like I did a pretty good job enjoying the day-trip without going completely overboard.
24: 238.3 😁
25: 237.2 !!?!!? I'm shocked by this. I stayed within my calories and IF schedule, but I ate more movie theatre popcorn than I usually would and had a fast food burrito for dinner. I did skip the seasoned potatoes that I love (because they're deep fried and more carbs), but my carbs were still really high (about 50% higher than my goal). My kids left for 2 weeks with their dad today, so yesterday afternoon/evening we had a special family outing. I'm glad the scale doesn't reflect what I was sure would be a gain.
26: 235.9 OMG!!! I'm so effing excited about this! I know that the 1 and 2 pound daily losses won't last forever, so I'm just gonna bask in this for as long as I can. WHEEEEEE! 🤸💃🤸💃
27: 234.7 TOM is due tomorrow. I only had a 30 calorie deficit yesterday. Last night, I had to take extra precautions to avoid snacking during my fasting time. I managed, but it definitely took some will power! I guess it paid off! 🤸💃🤸💃
28: 235.5 I totally rocked my IF schedule, calories, macros, water, and sleep. That narrows the cause to pre-TOM weight gain. ♀️
29: 236.2 Still waiting on TOM. Still gaining WATER weight. ♀️ Also, still down more than 2 pounds this round. No hugs please. These fluctuations are part of the journey, not something that brings me down. I'm doing well! And so are you!
30: 235.1 I'm thinking that getting back to 16:8 IF might have thrown off my regularity. Still waiting on TOM but obviously having symptoms. We leave tomorrow morning for a 3-4 day trip, so I'll probably get it while I'm driving for several hours. 🤣 ♀️ 🤷
31: 234.5 Our trip was cancelled last minute, so no long drives today, but TOM finally today. ♀️
Total loss this round - 4 pounds!
There's no such thing as failure; only feedback.12 -

07/22 - 140.8, stayed the same as yesterday, which is great on a weekend! I have a group tennis lesson today, and I will try to do 60 minutes on elliptical. I have a work dinner tonight at a Thai restaurant so I might be up temporarily tomorrow due to sodium intake, but I preselected dinner already. Good feeling that this is the round I break into the 130s and stay there.
07/23 - 140.2, did not sleep well (fell asleep at 12am and it’s currently 4am). I have my alarm set for 6am so hope to go back to sleep. Taking my 8 year old dog to the vet for teeth cleaning and I am always so nervous! I won’t have time today for anything besides work and the dog so no workout. I am really thirsty so had too much salt yesterday, but drank a lot. Will continue to drink today (aiming for water, depending on how pup is!)
07/24 - 140.4, my dog made it out ok, but with six fewer teeth. He’s still a bit slower than usual, but understandable! I have dinner with a friend from college today at a prime rib restaurant (can’t believe we’ve known each other over 10 years!). Expecting to be a few lbs heavier tomorrow, but still hopeful end of the round will be a new decade.
07/25 - 140.6, meals entirely made at home for the next two days so should be down by Saturday.
07/26 - 140.4, had a good day yesterday and so far today has been good. I worked out for 60 minutes at the gym today and yesterday. Going to a see a movie later tonight and prep for a couple of presentations over the weekend. Although I wish I saw more of a change quickly, my overall trend line is going down and just have to trust the process. Some weeks I do the same thing and I lose over 1% of my body weight and other weeks will be less than .5 lbs
07/27 - 140.6, I have been having trouble sleeping so hopefully after my big presentation tomorrow, I can finally sleep. Today I had a couple of slices of pizza at lunch and sushi for dinner so will be up tomorrow, but had two offsites so limited choice.
07/28 - 140.2, tomorrow I’m off to Hawaii to visit family. I usually lose weight in Hawaii since it’s so hot I drink a lot of water and eat pretty clean. Hoping to be below 139 when I get back in a week.
07/29 - 140.5, weighed about 4 hours earlier than I normally do because need to catch an early flight so pretty happy with the number with that and the fact I didn’t sleep very well (always scared I’m going to miss the flight!)
07/30 - 140.2, back down a bit. Hoping to see 139.8 tomorrow, but still happy to see any loss.
07/31 - 140.2, stayed the same. It’s been really warm here in Maui so trying to keep water intake high.
Round loss .6 lbs

Goals this round: drop 2 lbs Did it!
07/22 - 216.8 had a big up on the scale today from yesterday, but probably due to first day of period. Started Keto today because my weight loss has been so slow with regular CICO and my nutritionist said I may have insulin issues due to my PCOS, so giving it a shot. Energy levels high most of the challenges are mental but it's amazing how hard that is to overcome. Worked out with my PT today - super intense, very tired but happy
07/23 - 214.4 omg! Biggest loss I've ever had overnight. Thanks, Keto! I know it's just water weight and it really only put me .6 below my start weight for this after yesterday's high, but it gave me the morale I needed to keep going. Had a DXA bodyscan today - 46.5% body fat. What an eye opener... I had no idea it was that much. Used these two things to motivate me to stick to keto today. Crazy busy today so didnt exercise, but got lots of walking and stretching in today and will definitely go to the gym tomorrow.
07/24 - 214.2! That seems like a much more reasonable overnight change, so I'm happy. Hopefully some of this is fat and not all water. Thinking about all the visceral fat in my body scan has motivated me well to stick to my diet all day. Got an intense workout in on the elliptical and I'm feeling pretty good on Day 3 of keto!
07/25 - 212.6! Another big loss overnight! It feels like a miracle! Very happy on Day 4 of Keto but did buy an electrolyte today to help w a 2-day headache. Had a very stressful and agitating day but stuck to my calorie goals. Did not exercise... Spent the entire day waiting for a Frontier technician that never showed up and by the time the service window cloaed at 6pm, had to scramble to get chores done. Will get more exercise tomorrow and hope for a continued weight loss tonight despite no exercise
07/26 - 211! Omg, so happy! I ended up working out last night after posting that I felt bad not exercising. Then today, I definitely didn't eat enough during the day but then my partner came back from a long work trip and we did a celebratory meal and... I definitely ate a lot! It was my first time struggling to stick to keto because everything at the steakhouse was glazed but I got them to make me a special unglazed meal. Felt crazy full though so worried I overate. Got a tough workout in during the morning so hopefully that plus eating light during the day didnt reverse my losses
07/27 - 210.8! Glad to still see some loss despite my super heavy dinner. We had company visit today so I wasnt able to take time away to exercise, but we walked around a lot touring our new area. I stuck to my diet despite how hard it was to find keto options at the restaurants we went to, so I'm proud of myself for that
07/28 - 210.6! Very reasonable overnight loss. Woke up today with a cold (a real cold, not keto cold - coughing, sneezing, sore throat, congestion) Didn't do any exercise but did stick closely tp diet which was an accomplishment in itself bc usually when I'm sick I like tea w honey and simple carbs to eat.. so that is a big win! The lose is that our first free day in our new house and rather than do needed chores, I just lay about all day 😔
07/29 - 209.6! Haven't seen this side of 210 in a long time! So exciting to see a change in the tens position of my weight. Fingers crossed I can stay under 210 and this isn't just a spurious loss on the scale. Still sick with a cold though so missed work and my personal training today. Sticking to diet, hoping to be healthy so I can be exercising and productive again!
07/30 - 209.8! I figured yesterday's loss was ambitious, so I'm psyched to only be up .2 since yesterday and still on this side of 210... Hope I can keep it up stuck to diet goals today but still sick with this cold. Did some gentle yoga and hopefully will be all better and back to exercising tomorrow. Besides the cold, I feel great on keto so far. Losing weight with PCOS has felt impossible until I started this diet. Hopefully it continues to be effective for me
07/31 -209.2!! Wahoo! Finished this round with my most significant loss ever. Feeling almost all better today, just coughing a lot and very tired, but otherwise fine. Very motivated and stuck with my calorie goals all day, did a youtube HIIT workout for only 30 minutes today, don't want to push myself too hard fresh off my cold, but I'll go back to the gym tomorrow I know my losses will slow down now that I'm more used to this new diet but I'm very happy and very excited to head into Round 85 tomorrow!
Round loss: 5.8 lbs!!!!14 -
@kmfeig87 Thank you!! He's doing great, just a bit sore. He had to have two sides shaved so they could treat the bigger wound and a smaller one I hadn't even noticed, so he looks like he's in more pain than he is. So glad we could get him to the vet immediately!4

I am back after taking a 8 round break from logging. Focused mostly on running, walking and was on vacation. Now I am back. Will take it easy but need to be accountable to get that holiday weight back down and break that 90 kg barrier I was bouncing around. Wish me luck
07/22 - 98.4 back from a holiday so expecting carbs and water retention. Hope to see it go e in the next few days.
07/23 - 98.0 going in the right direction. Too early to be celebrating.
07/24 - 97.6 Still dropping lets hope this continues in the right direction.
07/25 - 97.5 back to original before leaving. Thought I would gain this vacation but it seems I remained more or less stable. Little win! Now buckle up, we are going DOWN!
07/26 - 97.1 so nice to keep dropping without doing anything just because it was water weight. Will so bite me back but helps taking into perspective when you see other drop and you don't. When the body experiences a long diet it refuses to let go, but those few kg that are just junk, go down waaaay to quickly. Will wait with the Mini GW1 checkmark for just a bit to make sure this is real.

@whitej1234 We low carbers, Keto & Atkins followers eat lots of meat & lose weight. But you have to watch the carbs if you are going to eat high calorie meats. The sauces, the BBQ is particular as it is also sweet.
@deepwoodslady haha- I was cynical the bbq included much more calories then just having a good meat. Chips included some days are better then others.1 -

I am officially 5 rounds away from turning the big 4-0! That means I have 50 days to lose another 5 pounds and be below 140. When I started way back in July of 2018 I thought I would have already reached my goal, but alas I am still working on it, lol. My only goal this round is to see a new low and that my 10 day average continues to drop, however slow that may be and believe me the last couple of rounds it has been extremely slow.
Round 80: 148.7 - 148.0 down .7 Avg 147.22
Round 81: 148.0 - 146.5 down 1.5 Avg 147.87
Round 82: 146.5 - 146.3 down .2 Avg 146.93
Round 83: 146.3 - 145.9 down .4 Avg 146.72
07/22 - 147.3 up from yesterday, but had a good day. Did eat at the mall and then do some snacking while meal prepping for the week. So I am sure I will be back down soon. Finished my daughters room and all the school shopping for both girls. Dinner planned tonight and breakfast/lunches planned for the week. On track for today and should be an early night to bed. The youngest starts her last year of elementary tomorrow since she is in year around. Can't believe I will finally be done with that school. From my oldest to the youngest I have been going there continuously for the last 16 years!
07/23 - 146.7 I overate last night and did some snacking after I got home from work. I was starving all day yesterday and couldn't curve it for some reason. It was just one of those days I guess. For the next 9 days I am going to try and do absolutely no snacking before dinner, while cooking, or clean up after dinner. I am just eating to eat at that point and there is no point to it. So day 1 let's see how I do.
07/24 - 144.4 yes! Finally now all I have to do is keep it down and drop a couple more ounces before the end of the month. I can see that 143.xxx right around the corner. On track for today and dinner set for tonight!
07/25 - 143.1 New low and a huge drop! I almost cried when I saw this, I was so happy. We will see if it sticks tomorrow, but right now I am super thrilled with it! I almost have a 3 pound loss for the month, and I haven't had one of those since October. This made a new happy scale milestone (2 more to go), completes 35 pounds lost, I am officially in the "normal BMI" category by a couple of ounces, and I am at the top of my maintenance weight. I would like for my maintenance weight to be 138-143 eventually. I will see if I like it there and figure out what I want to do at that point. I am sure it will take me a while to get lower. This has been a pretty big month of weight loss, so I am totally expecting a jump up or to stay here for a while and I am completely ok with that. 6 days left to hold on and see what I can do. I have a tendency to let myself relax when I get comfortable and I am determined not to do that this time. I really want to see myself at 138.
07/26 - 143.1 I am shocked that this stayed the same. Maybe it is a real number. I snacked a little before dinner and then while cleaning up, so I was kind of worried this morning. Low cal day today and should be able to stay on track without any issues tonight. Would love to go into the weekend this low and be able to maintain the next 5 days. If I can finish the month at 143 or maybe even 142 something I will be thrilled.
07/27 - 141.7 I can’t believe I dropped even more. This month has been amazing! I am at almost 5 pounds lost and I never have months like that. I lose maybe a pound a month the last 4 or 5 months. I am so happy that it’s finally catching up and the scale is showing my hard work. It may go up over the weekend, but in super thrilled going in so low!
07/28 - 144.0 I hate that I eat a couple of carbs and boom 2 - 3 pounds overnight. Nice Japanese grill date night with hubby complete with korin beer and some saki. Water and better food options are in store for the rest of the day. Would like to end this month around 142 or back to 141!
07/29 - 144.4 The rest of Saturday night I am sure. Had shopping, laundry, and chores around the house all day yesterday, so my water was not as good as I would have liked. Today is planned and logged. Should have a nice drop tomorrow and hopefully will finish up this month and this round with a pretty good loss!
07/30 - 144.4 did well yesterday and expected a loss this morning, but as you can see I am the same. I am still down from the last round and I have 1 more day to finish this month and round up strong. Was on track all day yesterday and have my meals planned today. All 3 of my younger kids had dentist appts this am and wanted MacDonald's breakfast afterwards. I got an unsweet ice tea and that's it! So I should see that 143.xxx tomorrow!
07/31 - 143.7 Was hoping for more of a final loss, but I did have a couple of drinks with dinner last night. My husband just replaced the engine in my Navigator and we needed to drive it for a while to break it in. So we stopped and had dinner about 45 miles out of town and had a couple of beers. Luckily I had only had about 400 calories all day because I assumed we would eat out, but didn't account for the beers. Oh well, it was well worth our unplanned date night. I am down 2.2 pounds in this round and my 10 day average is down almost 2-1/2 pounds, I also saw a new low of 141.7 (now I just have to claw my way back). So all in all it was a great round! See everyone in round 85!10 -

Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 133.2 Yay! Back to my lowest low since starting this journey. Thought I'd be up because I got a bit snackish yesterday with nibbles of brownie and a whole donut (though I stuck to my newish method of *savoring* the donut by cutting it into little bites). Fatigue is really doing me in lately, though, so I went to bed early and probably saved myself extra calories I'd have been tempted to eat.
07/23 134.4 Yesterday was ALL salt: steak and corn and homemade macaroni and cheese and baked potatoes, so being up a pound is expected. I liked Monday's 133, honestly, I think it was a fluke because my body has been more or less maintaining 134 for a month now. "Everyone" says it goes slower at the end- yep.
07/24 DNW oops! I live in the U.S. and set the alarm early so I could watch news coverage of Congressional testimony and I totally forgot to go back upstairs to weigh. What can I say, I'm a political nerd!
07/25 133.8 Down a bit. I've had some challenges preventing me from starting the gentle seated strength-building exercises I found on YouTube, so I'm okay if I just cruise along without any real loss this week (if I write that sentiment down, it'll be true, right?) [trying to convince myself]
07/26 132.4 Wow! Really?!
07/27 130.2 I'm not sure what's happening?! After being stuck at 134 for over a month, and being 10 lbs from goal, I wasn't expecting any more whooshes in this journey.
07/28 132.8 Aftermath of a two-day birthday celebration and movie snacks I didn't say no to!
07/29 134.4 Expected this. Birthday cake and some restaurant meals have to go somewhere! No more food celebrating after today, so back on track Monday. This isn't really a case of regret, though, as I decided in advance that I have the skills now to splurge *once in a while* for a major celebration without getting derailed.
07/30 132.8 Yay! I got right back to doing what works on Monday, and I'm off to a great start this week. I'm proud that I resisted the temptation to overeat yesterday after my dog was attacked by a much bigger dog and had to go to the emergency vet (he'll be okay, thankfully).
07/31 131.2 You know those fitness magazine covers on checkstands every spring that promise "Bikini Body by June 1st!" and feature some flawless swimsuit model? I used to buy those every time, thinking the prescribed diet of six little meals I hated and intense exercises I couldn't do would "melt the pounds away." 14 rounds of eating exactly what I want while (1) tracking every calorie (2) weighing every morning (3) posting here every single day and (4) BEING PATIENT has led to this: 26.6 lbs gone in 4 months and 3 weeks! I'm grateful to all of you, and I'm rooting for everyone's success. See you in round 85!

My plan for the next 2 months (9 weeks) is to get dow to 68.0, that's 5kg to lose, which is 0.8kg each 10 day round. I have a bet with a friend to achieve this.
To do this, I will stick with logging, eat healthy and exercise. I will see how I can reduce my eating window during my work days.

So this minute loss is my body giving me the chance to make it a round number and aim for exactly 5kg loss...
Started day alright, very late breakfast, which was actually lunch, due to meetings, but managed ok. Was going to run in the eve but then DH suggested a bike ride. Fewer cals burned, but time well spent 🥰.
Dinner a little late, but resisted my urge to snack, so that's a win.

Yes, another evening I stayed strong and didn't snack. It was a struggle, but I won.
Good day, started with a run and exercise. Had a few snacks at work, but they fit within my cals and were on the healthier side.

That's the reward I needed for no LNS to stick with it Also, it matches MFP's prediction from 5 weeks ago, that's never happened before.
This week is crazy hot in the Netherlands, and I think most of Europe, so I started my morning with an easy walk before working from home. Due to meetings again didn't eat until late, which means I managed to fast for 16hrs again. In the evening, we decided to go to the cinema, have some burger at a new place, DH and I shared one and I went easy on the fries. Plus, we cycled there and back - becoming Dutch But then DH bought me popcorn, which I couldn't say No to. Overall good day

Too hot, 38C today, long day in the office, with a short wine break and then late dinner and an ice lolly and a couple of snacks. I don't think I'll be able to run in the morning. Today, Fitbit says 0 active mins, ah well, better than heat stroke.

Nooo, this is the wrong direction. I guess it's a combination of the weekend and yesterday's evening run and too little water during the heat, oh and no TMI, since we're talking about that . I could also see this morning that my feet were swollen with what I guess is water retention.
Day went ok, big but healthy dinner and ovulation pain again. Bike ride with DH after dinner and then a brief walk, still not made my steps. I gotta go back to walking at lunch time.

No exercise this morning as I needed some extra sleep. Again didn't eat breakfast I had prepared, just had an apple and then lunch. I'm getting better at delaying food in the morning on work days. Late dinner due to thai boxing class, which meant I only got home at 8.30 and starving. DH made amazing Mongolian beef, had a small portion, generously estimated cals. But needed something sweet and some nuts afterwards. I'm sure that'll mess up my goal for this round. Next round will be difficult due to friend coming to stay with us again and we tend to enjoy wine together...

This eve was utterly unecessary indulgence. Daytime was ok, but then my friend arrived and we had wine, and then more wine and chocolate and salty snacks until late. No self control, no reason. Stupid, stupid me. We even talked about me logging food. Anyway, new round tomorrow.
Round result: 73.0-73.0=0.0 (goal:72.2)
Loss this round is non-existent, this means my goal for next round is 0.9-1kg per round 😲
But I have some NSVs/learnings:
- adapted to eating later breakfasts if at all
- some more consistency with exercises, even if disrupted by the heat
- 🏃♀️ran 6k
- 🥊went to boxing class
- 💪improved my PB

I am ready to drop a couple of pounds this round. I haven't made the progress this summer that I had hoped for but its a marathon not sprint and slow and steady will win the race. But man this is a little to slow. Time to get to it. Good luck all.

WhooHooo! It will likely jump around, but thrilling to see! Almost back to Scream Weight!!! Then on to 154! 53 min walk
7/24 155❣️ I never thought I’d celebrate hitting my Scream Weight!! But in this direction it is Screaming for Joy not Screaming in Terror!
7/25 155.4 (normal fluctuation. I’m in “the zone”.) Up 2.4 lbs in 3 months, most of it in 3 of the past 4 weeks.) turning this around now!
7/26 155.2 Things are going well!

600 Day MFP Streak🍀🍀🍀 & I had hoped to
Get back in my 153-155 Maintenance Range! I’m Thrilled & beginning to feel my leaner self. Down 4 lbs in 12 days (it had been a sudden increase; I hoped it would come off rapidly.) Now, on to 153❣️🦋💕
7/28 157.6 wow, one meal.
7/29 157.2
7/30 157.4
Eating carefully but more salt (Dr’s orders for too low bp) ate at home except two meals out- 7/27 & 7/29
I am finally ALL BETTER (it took 6 weeks 🙄)
Step avg over 10K in the past 4 days!!!!!!
Off to gym today! 😁
I’m not giving up. I will get back to my Maintenance Range where I am smaller in my waist & I feel leaner.
All of this has taught me:
I have trouble reducing my daily calories below 1,900 for any period of time, and usually it’s 2,000.
So, my 650-700 Active calories daily burn is a must.
(Still tinkering with that balance as my PT wants me wt lifting & doing intervals on ex bike 15-20 mins which rake a lot of time but don’t burn as many calories - plus the walks lift my spirits & get me out in nature.) I guess it’s all about balance.
Discouraged with scale, but Delighted with my regained strength, better tone, & energy!. Health first.

Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 189.6 – Bit of a Monday morning bounce. Not a surprise given the sausage, snacks, and wine I had yesterday.
07/23 188.8 – Didn’t post yesterday because storms knocked out power for a while. The winds also took down some large tree branches, tossed around my patio shelter, and blew a large umbrella into the pool. Fortunately, we had no serious damage and once the rain ends it’s supposed to be a gorgeous week. That means I can get back to walking! Met my exercise goal yesterday by cleaning up the yard. Today’s “workout” was trying on clothes. Did some “shopping” in my closets today and scored 7 pairs of pants that now fit, including 4 pairs with tags on them that I bought at a clearance sale in 2017. Yay!
07/24 188.4 – Delightfully cool morning! What a pleasure after last week’s heat and humidity! Walked in the park after class, enjoying the lovely day. Ice cream with the kids put me over on calories, but I was enough under yesterday that it averaged out.
07/25 188.4 – Another lovely day! Got a bunch of chores done after class, and then my daughter and I took the boys to the county fair. We all had a wonderful time! Drank plenty of water and easily met my step goal. I was careful about food choices earlier in the day to allow for some treats, but even so, the bag of zeppoles we bought on the way out might have put me over my calorie limit. Totally worth it though, even if I see a bounce tomorrow. It’s a once-a-summer tradition that my daughter and I share, and we enjoyed every sugar-dusted bite!
07/26 189.6 – Ah, well, back up to where I was at the beginning of this round.
07/27 188.6 – And back down again…
07/28 188.4
07/29 188.4
07/30 188.6 – Super busy these last few days, so logging has been sketchy and posting has fallen by the wayside. Haven’t made the best food choices in terms of nutritional quality, but I’ve been trying to keep under maintenance calories. Eating out hasn’t helped, but honestly I’ve been choosing fast or lazy options at home. More challenges ahead as I wrap up my summer course next week and prepare for house-guests and our big annual summer party. Need to stock the fridge with some easy but healthy options. One more day in this round. Hoping to sustain a small loss and to catch up on everyone's posts!
07/31 187.8 – Nice little drop to finish the round, bringing me to my 25 lbs TWL milestone – just the motivation I need to move forward this week.
This round showed me how easily I can get behind and lose focus when things get really busy. It also showed how important it is to have a foundation of good habits and a supportive community. Daily weigh-ins kept me grounded. Months of weighing and measuring and logging my food helped me make calorie-conscious choices even when options were limited. The advice and examples set by others on this journey helped me keep the bumps in the road in perspective. And their support and generosity made me eager to get back to the community.
On to the next round!

ROUND 84 (Round 26 for me)
5’4 ½” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle, endurance, and jogging distance (while not damaging my knees).
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 44 lb.
I started and finished the last four rounds with a high weight of 135. I’ve grown accustomed to the keto WOE and, mostly, stick to that, but I add extra carbs when I’m under 135, which is almost daily.
Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 131(something) I was in a hurry to leave the house and didn’t write it down.
07/23 131.6 I knew I missed a few days of the last round, but didn’t realize I only checked in the first day. I’ll try to do better this round. I had a stomach issue from eating too many carbs last week, and I lost a little more than I wanted to lose, but I’m okay now, and eating more carefully. I don’t want to go off keto, but if someone makes that decision, do it slowly. Your body will revolt more violently than it rebelled when you started keto. That’s been my experience, anyway.
07/24 131.8 We have a few unseasonably cool days this week (low 70’s in the morning and low 90’s in the afternoon), so Thor, my German Shepherd, and I walked Monday morning and walked/jogged this morning. It was nice! I can handle the heat better than Thor, since I don’t have long, thick, black hair, but he hates being left behind, so we only venture out on cool days.

Unless it rains a lot, I’ll be spending time in the pool and walking the property with Thor. I look forward to a break from 100 degree heat.

Hi all, this is my second round and excited to see where this next round takes me. I first started my MFP journey in 2015. I dropped down to 138 pounds and went into maintenance. I was fine for awhile until my world went crazy and exercise was no longer a priority. After putting on over 20 pounds, I got back to working out and calorie counting diligently. I have IBS and no gallbladder, so I stick to a low fat diet. I am also hypothyroid which makes losing weight at times challenging. I keep on trucking because the pot of gold at the end of 🌈 is health and an increased life expectancy.
Age: 36
Height 5’2-5’3 been measure both.
HW: 230lbs
SWMFP: 220lbs
CW: 127
GW: 115-120
UG: to love my body; even with stretch marks, cellulite and loose skin. Gain muscle and lower body fat.
Day/Weight/Comment
07/22 127lbs. Had a good workout 🏋️♀️. Yesterdays forced rest did my body good and I was able to easily knock out two hours of strength and aerobics. Ending my day with a yoga 🧘♀️ session for recovery. Feeling good, even with the scale not moving in a few days.
07/23 128.3lbs. Weight is up, trying not to panic and cut my daily calories. IBS flare up cut my workout short today and sent me home to bed with my heating pad. Crossing my fingers I will be all good tomorrow.
07/24 129lbs (sigh). Went on a ten mile walk with my son. Afterwards, every inch of my body hurt, while my son was still bouncing around full of energy. Lol, I thought he would collapse when we got home, but nope it was mid-30s old me. I did a good stretch drank down my protein shake and took a nap 😴. Hoping to see the scale go down tomorrow 🤞.
07/25 129.9lbs🤦🏽♀️. Up again, but inches are still coming off; just not reflected on the scale. I just increased my protein using shakes, so maybe that’s causing the scale to go up. Had a good walk with my son. It’s a good way to get him away from the tv during the summer. Today, he even asked when are we going on our walk (proud mama). Got in some strength training and recovering with yoga.
07/26 127.9lbs. Finally, the scale is down. It was 🥵 hot today and I didn’t eat much and skipped my walk. I did step aerobics, which kills my glute muscles and some weight training 💪. Tomorrow will brave the heat and walk my 100 blocks.
07/27 127lbs. Busy day; lots of walking logged doing errands. Got some strength training in using my kettlebell and my body is sore. NSV: just realized all my clothes are baggy on me! Shopping trip is in my future. I learned sometimes you have to ignore the scale and go by the measuring tape and pics.
07/28 126.5lbs. The scale is going down but so are my calories. It’s 🥵 outside and the heat is killing my appetite. I got up early and got in my strength training and step aerobics. I than walked four miles to my doctors appt and back. Ending the day with a hot bath for my muscles 💪. My goal for the next week is to make sure my protein intake is up.
07/29 126lbs. Another day of the scale going down 😃. Today was my rest day, so it was sixty minutes of step aerobics and stretching my sore muscles. I tried to up my protein with whey protein and it made me anxious and jittery! I may have force myself to eat more food. Goal for tomorrow 80g of protein.
07/30 125.7lbs. So excited! I bought a size 4 pair of jeans four years ago as motivation, and today, I was able to fit them. I honestly wanted to 😭. I haven’t been in the 120s since middle school. It gave me a boost in my workout 🏋️♀️ today. I did almost two hours of strength training and than step aerobics and finished the day with a walk. My son was with me on the walk and I had a cheat 🍔 at Wendy’s with him.
07/31 125lbs. That Wendy’s I had yesterday came back to bite me in the form of allergic reaction to something in the burger. Good reason not to eat fast food and eat at home. Today was busy and I logged lots of steps walking to my dr appts. Got a little strength training in and will do recovery yoga before bed. I finally met my goal with protein. I found non whey snacks with protein such as Stok coffee and Greek yogurt and Greek yogurt bars, which are really good. This has been an up and down round.
Lost 2 pounds. A half an inch on my waist. My quads gained a half an inch and a quarter of an inch. My calf’s gained half an inch each.
Hope to see everyone in the next round!!11 -

This round showed me how easily I can get behind and lose focus when things get really busy. It also showed how important it is to have a foundation of good habits and a supportive community. Daily weigh-ins kept me grounded. Months of weighing and measuring and logging my food helped me make calorie-conscious choices even when options were limited. The advice and examples set by others on this journey helped me keep the bumps in the road in perspective. And their support and generosity made me eager to get back to the community.
On to the next round!
& Congratulations and keep up the good work to you @beachwalker99!! :flowerforyou:

07/28 384.8 - I am still working on de-cluttering which is going great which is why I am not online as much. Brought some new things at Costco to replace worn out stuff at home. Today I am going to take 30 minutes to do some cleaning. And it is helping me feel better about self and coming home to an organized, fresh smelling apartment is awesome! Now the challenge is to keep it going because I still have a long way to go. This project helps keep my mind off food. My goal to have my place ready my November to have guests over like I use to. I love entertaining and this will be SOOO good for me. I know ultimately, I must do this in order to lose and keep my weight off for good. So, I am ready to get to these core issues with help from God, my therapist, WW and MFP. I am going to do whatever it takes.
07/29 386.8
07/30 382.2 – Not sure that is correct. We will see tomorrow. I got 7000 steps in yesterday which is my step goal and was within my WW point range also.
07/31 375.4 – It has been a minute since I have been in the 370’s. But I am determined to stick it this time around. I am eating cleanly 80/20 rule. Staying within WW range and drinking water and getting in those steps! And sleeping good too. I stepped on scale several time to make sure. It kept being in the 70’s. So finally I took a middle number and moved on. On to the next challenge. Doing the happy dance!! 13.4 pounds lost! And most of it in the last 5 days! It will slow down the next 10 days but that is ok, I am on the right track finally. <<<Round 83 goal weight: 385 >>>
Doing the happy dance!! 13.4 pounds lost! Two more pounds to go and I am out of the red for the year! Whoohoo! and I will be doing that in the 1st 10 days of August for sure. I will see you all in Round 85!
My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 GW 299 - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

07/22 - 132.4 (-0.1lb) - Food was all good besides hot chocolate at the end of the night, which definitely had added sugar. 1hr strength. 50min cardio. 14,385 steps. 137oz water.
07/23 - 132.6 (+0.2lbs) - Food was good. Up due to TOM which should start very soon. Day off strength. 1hr 30min cardio. 17,966 steps. 119oz water.
07/24 - 133.1 (+0.5lbs) - Food was good. TOM is cause of gain. Day off strength. 1hr cardio. 30min yoga. 15,278 steps. 119oz water.
07/25 - 132.8 (-0.3lbs) - Food was ok but chocolate and some small amounts of added sugar crept in out of nowhere. Wasn’t me. 60min strength training. 50min cardio. 15,366 steps. 135oz water.
07/26 - 133.5 (+0.7lbs) - Didn’t eat nearly enough calories. Had stomach pain all night and couldn’t eat dinner. Was short around 800cals and it was an intense workout day! 😔 BUT today is a new day and I feel better! 1hr 20min strength training. 1hr cardio. 14,573 steps. 175oz water.
07/27 - 134.1 (+0.6lbs) - Food was horrrible! First day I’ve eaten horrible in a long time! I was just so hungry. I guess my body wanted to make up the 650 calories I didn’t eat yesterday. Problem is I had ice cream and corn nuts 🤦🏻♀️ Its ok though, today is a new day and I’ll do better. Besides I felt so sick from the unhealthy food I don’t think I’ll even want to touch it for awhile. I blame TOM for all of this! LOL I can not be held accountable. Day off strength. 1.5hrs cardio. 14,763 steps. 142oz water.
07/28 - 134.8 (+0.7lbs) - Food wasn’t great. Was under calories though. Might be high due to sodium but not really sure. Day off strength. 2hrs cardio. 12,481 steps. 144oz water.
07/29 - 134.3 (-0.4lbs) - Food was under goal. 55min strength training. 50min cardio. 12,594 steps. 115oz water.
07/30 - 134.8 (+0.4lbs) - Not really sure what’s going on but I am retaining a lot of water it seems. Food was under goal. 65min strength. 50min cardio. 12,575 steps. 115oz water.
07/31 - 134 (-0.8lbs) - Food was under goal but barely. 1hr strength. 1hr cardio. 15,162 steps. 118oz water.6 -

July 22 - First day doing 1200 calories. Didn't do to bad. A little hungry throughout the day but filled up on water. Went over my goal by 6.
July 23 - Second day at 1200 calories. Way more hungry today. Went over my goal by 640! Weighed in this morning. Disappointed with the number.
July 24 - Day 3 at 1200cal. Did better today. Still not on goal but healthy choices today and only over by a little bit. Scale was down a little this morning. It's a Step in right direction
July 25 - Day 4. Still didn't make 1200, but still only over by a little. I think I need to find a way to eat more filling foods. I don't like protein (only eat chicken) or yogurt and things like that so it's hard to get foods that keep me full longer. But the scale is going down so I'll keep pressing on
July 26 - Day 5. Well last night I ate 700 calories over in Fritos and half a Costco chocolate chip cookie 😭😭 then I felt bad so I went for an hour's walk. Enjoyed the walk though. I know my gain this morning is probably salt from those Fritos so I am trying not to focus on it too much. Here's to another day 🥂
July 27 - Day 6. Yesterday I felt in control. I chose healthy options. I drank seven 24oz bottles of water. I took my kids to the park. I stayed within my points range. It was a great day. And it is working. The scale is moving. Now to keep it going in the downward position for the weekend ❣️
July 28 - Day 7. Woke yesterday in a fantastic, in control mood. Went for a nice long walk while everyone slept. It was a beautiful morning. Came home and had my breakfast and sat down 😔 never should of sat. It completely ruined my day. I got lazy, which in turn made me snacky. I got into the Hawkins Cheezies...😔 Oh well. Fresh day today. I will do better today. I am learning being emotional and now bored and lazy are my triggers. Need to come up with a plan!
July 29 - Day 8. Had a great day yesterday. Went to church with my family, went to the park with my girls and went for a walk with my friend. I hate within range (somewhat only over by 50) and even got to have pasta and a garlic bun!! Finished the night off with a herbal tea. It was great. Woke this morning to a great loss!! Love seeing the scale move in the right direction. Here's to another great day today 💃
July 30 - Day 9. Another great day yesterday. Went to work, came home and sent my husband off to his nightshift then took the kids to the park. Instead of sitting at watching them (they are 10&12) I decided to make laps around the playground. Walked just about 7km !! Woke this morning to a fantastic number on the scale. If I can lose half a pound by Thursday morning that will 5lbs in 10 days 🎆 Today I have to speed clean through the house because we leave for 3 weeks vacation tomorrow morning. Fingers and toes crossed that I keep on track!! Really hoping to be 10lbs lighter by September (mini goal for myself).
July 31 - left today for vacation. Didn't eat right at all. But still only went 52 over. This was a fantastic 10 days!
My first 10 day challenge resulted in a loss of 4.5lbs
I am on vacation now until Aug 21. I will join the 10 day challenge then3 -
GOAL. This month I am planning a non stop dieting month. July 1st-August 1st. So far....16/31

07/25 138.8 feeling deflated. I ate a couple of chocolates because shark week is approaching but I am getting sort of fed up at my rediculiously slow loss. I want so bad for this loss to restart itself. My active lifestyle should mean something at the end of the day. The lack of results is beginning to bug me. I am even watching my macros so this is mind boggling. This constant watching what I eat is starting to get in my nerves and the small snack moments ending in a gigantic gain is starting to annoy me. Bahhhhh I want to quit (I won't) but I feel like I am working so hard with nothing to show.
I don't know what else I can do 19/30
07/26137.8 I hope this continues 20/30
07/27 137.8 20/30 rough day
07/28 no weigh in 21/30
07/29 137.8
07/30 138.6 shark week bahhh bloat 22/30
07/31 139 bloat takes an ugly turn
So over all this month I managed 8 days off and 23 days on. I think I have finally figured out what to adjust to get these pesky pounds off. It's starting to suck being stuck here for so long. Now that my work has finally hired more staff my crazy hours, crazy eating schedule and late night binges can end.
What I have discovered ...which should be obvious:
I don't eat out. I usually eat out on special occasions or on that off day but I can easily go seven months without eating out...I'm a home cooked meal type of gal... Well these past two months have been different. Because of my crazy 13 hour consecutive day schedule it has been really difficult to not use that pesky Uber eat app to eat with. This is the first time I have downloaded and used the app. I realized even with my healthier options (such as ordering salad rather than fries or lettuce wrap rather than buns..although I do admit when I'm super hunger and my calories are especially low I might opt for the bun) I don't think my body is used to the sodium content or oil content the food tends to have (grilled chicken or not) so even with my calorie budget allowing it and me not eating back more than half my active calories...my body isn't responding well. So this month I am taking the app off my phone and getting back to strict practises that I have been doing for years.4 -
