Heather: It’s Belfast Pride weekend here. It’s very big here too. There is a Pride Village in the Belfast docks opposite to the Titanic Quarter. We are going up to meet with our younger girl and her wife.
Yesterday we took our boat out for a couple of hours in Bangor Bay. The weather was very warm, but there was a little sea breeze to keep us cool. Daughter took this photo on my phone. It was supposed to be new and one of her dogs, but he scarpered when he saw the camera. 😂

cmsavells-lol,I just went bra shopping (hate it)tried on 2,settled on 1 bought it,got it home and hate it.Turns out,the cup size may be too small.
Plastic bags-at my job,a lot of our customers Love them and insist on using one for each item they buy.We try to encourage consolidating like items,but...Our second location has gone bagless.I use them to line the bathroom can and reuse.

Morning dear friends~
if any of you are the praying type please send them my way..
got an email from the Dr very unhappy with my work.. now I go to work every day, do what im supposed to, put my nose to the grindstone and work my tail off, and somehow him being a micromanager just nitpicks everything only on me though.. I know he is trying to get me to quit but I wont..
I wrote him back this morning..as i got barely any sleep at all..
I told him im sorry he was unhappy with my work, that I cannot afford to quit my job but if he would graciously lay me off I would be able to pay my mortgage,,
Mind you I was very kind on how I worded this.. I said I love everyone there and that he has 2 very capable women in Aimee and Mary.. and that if he wouldn't lay me off I would try and be a better employee..
I know what he is trying to do is being very cunning at it
yikes when it rains it pours...8 -

I work out with weights, watch my diet (or try to) and look ok after having twins at 40, but you guys rock!

It's Saturday here in W Washington State. Good morning to everyone!
Sue in WA - could the treat stealer be a raccoon? Crafty little buggers. Even warm pool water feels good these days, I'm sure. Had lunch with a friend who said her in-ground pool was 91! Like a spa
Pip - Hubba Hubba on the bikini. You don't have any hips you slinky thing, lol. If you need some belly pudge let me know.
Luci - I don't have hip flexor problems but I like those stretches you posted. Will add them to my stretching routine just to keep things limber.
Barbara AHMOD - I felt certain you'd get the "congrats" letter from the IRS. Hooray!
I sent a little check to the state of Washington for sales tax last week. I buy a lot of items from Vitacost which doesn't collect WA sales/use tax and has a disclaimer that it's up to the customer to send it. So I got a letter from them listing my 2018 purchases, order# and amounts. They said they are letting WA know about this per law. I looked up the purchases and most of them were for food items which are not taxable here. Also, the letter left off 2 more 2018 purchases. I "chatted" with one of their customer service agents and told them the info they sent to WA was inaccurate, incomplete. And this was burdensome to their customers - upgrade their billing software and charge the darn tax and remit it to WA themselves.
So I made a spreadsheet, sorted taxable and non-taxable sales, downloaded the tax form and sent it off to the WA Dept of Revenue with an $11 check, lol. Believe it or not, it gave me a sense of accomplishment - I used to love doing that when I worked for an accountant. So oddly, it was $11 well spent, lol.
Cheri - Hello!! Glad to see you back and thanks for the update. Wow, you have been busy. Is your daughter planning to get a place fairly close to you? Great your son is now in Indy and loving it.
Rebecca - love seeing your grocery shopping purchases. Lean Cuisine type meals dumped over bed of spinach or salad greens is a big favorite of mine too - especially the fettucini one. I still do it to this day and sometimes end up with a sloppy mess in the bowl, that makes it even yummier! Kind of like a wilted salad.
Lisa - wow, that is some grant.... keep channeling Penny - she is missed!
Terri - love that photo of you on the boat, wind in your hair. I'm jealous. Your leggings are super cute!
Heading out in an hour or so to get early morning shopping in before the town wakes up, lol. You all have inspired me to dig out my cloth shopping bags and put them in the front seat so I don't forget them, and toss a few in the laundry so I'll be ready to go.
Have a good Saturday.

SW WA State where it's going to get HOT (over 90) for a few days. But at least no forest fire smoke like last year.

Good morning ladies! Happy Saturday! I didn't set my alarm last night and I got to sleep in until 6 this morning! Woo-hoo! Tim and I had a little "spat" yesterday morning before the kids arrived. It was needed. He always tends to hold things in (grumbling) and bc of his RA, I have been tending to do this as well bc i don't want to push or hurt his feelings. A bit of s**t hit the fan in regards to his feelings and his pain/inactivity and unwillingness to DO things to help himself. (The flirting guy was the catalyst that started the argument.) Anyway, a lot was gotten out into the open, our argument ended with kind words and a hug. He went to sleep and my work day began. When he woke up in the afternoon, he was in a much better mood and we talked about his food choices and getting out for walks together more. True to his word, we went for a walk last night together. First time in years. It was a painfully slow walk (for me), not even sure I can count it as calorie burn; but so happy he was outside and moving! He would like to walk again today.
Pip-You are in great shape, and your SKIN!!! YOu have great skin!
Allie- Sending you love and hugs! I really think you should look into a home health aide or companion career. You can set your own hours. AND in some cases you can choose who you want to work with (help). Then you can kiss that dr office good-bye and get rid of some stress in your life.
DEbbie in VA- Bra shopping! Ugh! One of my least favorite things to do.
Plastic use- For many years I have used reusable cloth bags for shopping. I have also switched many of my storage containers to glass jars or containers. I still have some sturdy rubbermaid containers that are brand new/gift from a daycare family. I haven't kicked the plastic storage baggie, yet; but I don't use as many as I used to (very conscious of those little buggers) and I often wash and reuse them. My next step is to get some of the fabric ones from amazon. I just looked at the beeswax "paper"! That stuff looks fabulous! I think I will get some of that, too.
Time flies and I have a few things to do before heading downtown to watch the parade and visit the craft fair. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)5 -

Model Train Show
After Wordpress, my husband and I went to the local annual model train show. I really enjoy looking at all the displays and watching the trains. If he and I built one, I think I'd do the display ... the building and scenery, and he'd tinker with the trains.

This is a picture I got a passer by to take on the way to the Pride parade. We got there early while they were setting up and met up with the family. Huge fun! More pics later.
I just really liked this pic of us as we rarely get a good one together.
The kids went in the sea afterwards.

Good Morning to Everyone!
Allie ~ Hugs! It takes a very special person to be able to get along so well with your ex and Elena. Hope you have a good day at the picnic.
Kelly ~ So glad you and hubby were able to end your argument with a hug.
Terri ~ You look so happy on your boat! Love your colorful pants.

Barbara & Lanette Congrats, you two, on solving that IRS snafu. Dreadful IRS letters...even the ones bearing glad tidings cause anxiety, apprehension, & palpitations.
Kelly Yay for the spat with hubby. Clears the air. So difficult to have a painful chronic condition like RA. So many people with RA have regained good quality of life with modern medicines, but obviously not everyone has.
Terri Love love love the photo of you and ghost dog. Cute leggings.
Lisa Congrats on getting that monster grant application done. I don't know how you do what you do. Pretty sure I don't have those skills.
Heather That photo of you & your husband is a keeper. Should frame it.
Machka That looks like a marvelous train show. I like model trains. So does my grandson. We have looked at a few. There is an old-retired-guys' destination called The Richmond Railroad Museum here in Richmond, VA. The old retired guys play with HO scale trains and run the museum:

Does anyone use silicone food storage bags? to replace ziplock-type bags?
A few of our grocery bags are insulated. Helps transport frozen/cold foods in hot weather.

Did a belly Butt and Thigh DVD. Actually, did 2 segments, there’s a third that I’ll do another day. The plan for tomorrow is to do some Wii Balance games.
Barbara – great news!
Where HAS Penny been?
M – I’m excited to see your webpage. What size trains would you consider? Vince has mostly O gauge. Your picture looks like HO, is it?
Pip and Heather – you gals look fantastic!

Started a new job the last few days after 8 years at the old place. The last few weeks at the old job were very stressful and my eating wasn't...optimal. We are reading the book, Always Hungry, after hearing a news story on NPR that referenced it. How fascinating! And a little infuriating, because I could have done this years ago, before my divorce even, but failed due to lack of support and self-confidence. Better late than never…
Although the book has something about a drastic first few weeks of wildly lowered carbs, I’m not interested in doing that and a new job at the same time. I’m simply aiming to do what the author did so many years ago, that caused his own weight loss and interest in lowering carbs. I’m removing junk sugar and some of my usual carbs and replacing with protein and fat, and eating more calories…
I’m large, so some of this makes me feel defensive, and yet… 3 pounds gone since 7/26. And I haven’t been so strict as all that. The food plan makes me feel satisfied and some of the crazy cravings are going away. I’m pre-diabetic so this is good.
I’m also reading about/working on my gut biome. Was always interested but recently had to have a course of antibiotics for a sinus infection. Both pre and probiotics are now part of my daily regime.
Interested to read people’s updates. I'm also looking at using fewer plastics...
Thanks to you all for being here.

Thx. That wasn’t the best pic but oh well.0 -
Karen in VA - I have never heard of the silicone food storage bags, so spotted them on Amazon. They look nifty. I always carry a cooler in the back of my Subaru, and toss in ice packs every time I head to town, especially during the summer. I aim to get frozen food at my last stop. I have an insulated grocery sack to catch the overflow.
Mirihawk - I just put "Always Hungry?" on hold at our library, thanks so much for mentioning it. Sounds like you have a plan that is working for you - hooray!!
I'm doing well on the lower (moderate) carbs, and as RVRita mentioned, sugar cravings go away. Still have the urge to snack after supper. A bit of cottage cheese and a few nuts does the trick.

Thx. It’s weird to think of myself as one of those skinny bi:($&che$ people see at the gym, if they only knew. I was blessed with great skin. I am very hairless, don’t have to shave my legs often at all. I’m really not confident at all. It’s all pretend6 -

You look good! And brave to wear white!
My mother gave up dressing me in white when I was a little girl and I simply don't wear that colour at all.
White is a magic colour for me.
I can wear any other colour and make it through a whole day without dumping coffee on myself, without spilling my lunch, without getting pen or highlighter all over the place, without getting splashed and muddy, without having a hangnail suddenly start bleeding energetically ...
Yet I put on something white, and by noon all of those things have happened, and I'm covered in goodness knows what.
When I was in my Engineering Tech classes and learning how to use drafting pens, which are very fine real ink pens, the only time I had one explode on me was the one and only day I was wearing a top that was mostly white. I should have known better!! For years after that I just wore black.
But it looks like you don't bear the curse of white! My mother doesn't either. She can manage a whole day in white and have her whites still be white. It's amazing!
