What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

I don't really have a petty reason anymore. Not in it for looks or revenge, just health.2

I had a boyfriend who went hiking without me, because I was slow. Then injured. I want to lose weight and gain strength and leave him in my dust!8

To disprove all the so called 'experts' who think their way is the only way5

Two reasons
1. I want to prove to my mother that her stupid fad diets don’t do anything and calorie in/out is the primary goal.
2. I have a coworker who has accepted a challenge, highest weight loss percentage over 6 months. A $20 gift card is on the line13 -
My husband has always told me that I am beautiful, no matter what my size has been. I want to feel that way for once. I want to be able to shop in the regular size section where the clothes are so much cutier than the plus size section. I want people to see me. Not my size or weight. It's amazing how dismissive people can be when you are bigger. Sad, but true. Most of all, I want to look good naked and feel comfortable on top! I'm so petty! 😉8

When I was younger it was to look good. When I became a father it was to be healthy and fit for my family. As I get older, I want to be the old guy who does pull-ups and handstands and yoga. All the while maintaining by six pack...13

We're going to Universal Studios next year, and I want to be able to look good in vacay pictures. As much as I LOVED going to Disney World in '17, I am embarrassed to look at photos of myself on holiday because of how big I am This is a time to be with my children and let them build memories, and I don't want them to remember me being the self conscience fat mom.12

My petty reason is because an ex told me I look like somebody who will never be skinny.
I was 265 then I am 200 now.
Weight wasn’t the only thing I dropped.26 -
My number one is health. I know I feel better when I eat better.
I never wanted to impress anyone but me. But I’m tired of my mom bod. My knees hurt, my back hurts, my guts suck, I still have ache for Pete sakes.4 -
I do a fair amount of traveling for work. I want to be more comfortable in an airplane seat.6

To say FU to the people who don't interact with me simply because I'm fat. If you don't like me now I'm not going to like you when.8

I only have a small amount of wardrobe space so I need smaller clothes7

This is so real - I travel an increasing amount for work and I hate having to lug about a suitcase, and I hated that I was stuffing things in and having to drag around an extra tote bag when I was back last week. Like, smaller clothes are tiny. I want to be able to do even my two-week field trips with, like, a duffel bag or a medium backpack that's not bursting at the seams.5 -

@planj - any progress in that time?1

I'm tired of not being able to find clothes that fit, I'm too small on top and bottom for the plus sizes, but my waist is to large for regular sizes. But also... my fiance's daughter is getting married in November and his ex wife will be there. I want to walk into that room feeling confident, and looking better than I ever have before!9
