@nossmf what about doing the cardio after the weights? How many days are you at the gym? How long have you been doing the bike before weights? Maybe you just need a week or two to adjust?

Mostly it's about realistic motivation. As in, if I put the cardio after the weights, there's a 50/50 chance I may find an excuse why not to do the cardio...too tired, not enough time, etc. But if I put the weights after, there's a 100% chance I will do at least part of the weights workout.

@giantrobot_powerlifting - wowzer! Good luck this weekend! Looks to me like you might kill it.

Have been quiet here, but just busy. Have been doing some 40k bike rides and some power walking.
Grandkids are visiting this weekend, so it should be a fun filled one.

    Happy September!
Core class this morning, then an hour walk with friends. Then I spent an hour helping my husband fill the cracks in the driveway so he can reseal it. My 40+ year old back has had it!

Great weather here this weekend, so a bunch of things going on. Yoga and an outdoor concert yesterday, quick bike workout today, and tomorrow will be a longish hike in the Bershires.

Time to get back down to business, so I signed up for the South Beach Olympic distance tri next April. Nice to have a race on the schedule again.

    Hi there! :)
I'm new in the 40s club. Starting it over again after I hadn't done exercises for almost a year due to hectic schedule and stressful. My goal is: lose the weight, strength and tone. I'd like to participate more races like Spartan, Terrian and others. I have other goal that I would like to, as long as I am focusing on my first goal. :#

I did a cardio workout this morning and then walked the CNE fairgrounds for a few hours. I feel pretty tired, now. lol

I did try one mac and cheese ball and some poutine and one beer. That’s it. BOOM!

Happy Tuesday kids, I had varied bench work yesterday and varied deadlifts today. It appears my appetite is increasing as I feel like I am devouring everything. Good news is I have not potato chips or chocolate since June. This is huge progress for me. September is Alopecia Awareness Month. I am glad that people are becoming more aware of this auto immune disease that impact millions of men, women and children. Have a great day kids.

Squats and bench presses this morning. And I pushed the sled for 20 reps. Glad that is done.

So far so good for September. All 3 days of workouts done, food on target, yay me!

Wednesday night strength class. It was a rough one. Pull up holds, OH presses, rows, farmer's carries, wall sits, and waaaaay too many lunges. Calories on track!

I did a cardio class on Monday, weights on Tuesday, a cardio workout on Wednesday and will do weights on Friday.

Husband and I were doing 12+ km hikes every weekend, but my work got too busy in August and I had to work all the weekends. We will aim for weekend hikes (maybe 10km Saturdays and then more of a 7-8km on Sundays) through September and October - as long as the weather holds. (I am NOT a cold-weather outdoors person!)

Stairclimber and legs at the gym. Discovered today that the max level is 20! I got an extra burst of energy when “Sabbath Mater” came up in my shuffle! Just saw Behemoth on Saturday and they totally played that! 🤘🤨
Almost wanted to sing along...’Cept I don’t do that, and they’d kick me out...and probably ban me from coming back. 😂🤣😂

    🤘😳

@Beeps - I love fall hikes! My plans are to do a 10k this Sunday. It's my favourite hike, with a LOT of climbs in it. I like it because it's challenging and gives me a good workout.

My husband and I booked our holiday! We are headed to Montenegro hiking! My sister and BIL are joining us, so we chose an easier route. We should be hiking about 4 hrs / day, which is perfect. If I am going to visit another country, I want some time to enjoy the places we land in and not spend my entire day hiking through the mountain. Now, I may feel differently once I am there. lol. We are going at the end of Oct - first week of Nov. Weather should be similar to what we are having now, so perfect hiking weather. :)

Walked yesterday! It stopped raining and sun was out, but the wind darn near blew us backward. lol.

    @giantrobot_powerlifting how'd the meet go?

I'm doing a mud run tomorrow against my better judgement. It's a "Rugged Maniac" which already sounds like I should be twenty years younger than I am to do it, but my sister begged me, so here we are.
Hoping to not break myself, which may be hard after helping my husband reseal the driveway yesterday. So very sore and still one coat to go.......
