Day/Weight/Comment
9/20--208.5 Lazy day yesterday. Ate some snacks when I really wasn't hungry. Gym tonight.
9/21--207.4 Weighed twice to make sure, I weighed in about 2 hours later than normal. Did not go to the gym yesterday because I was so exhausted. Going out with a friend today to a food allergy fair and then going out to eat.
9/22--208.1 The food allergy fair was great yesterday there were a lot of foods to try out and I found a couple of new foods to eat. Did a lot of walking yesterday and hardly drank any water. Strength coach today.
9/23--208.5 Uptick is definitely from all of the foods I tried at the fair 2 days ago. It also didn't help that I did some extra snacking yesterday. Great workout yesterday.
9/24--208.5 Stopped myself from having the 2nd snack last night...I wasn't even hungry. Also, I haven't run in over 5 months since I hurt my hip and then hurt my ankle. The last couple of weeks I've been antsy to get back into running, but I was worried about ankle since it's still a little sore every so often. Well, last night I said I'm going to go for a run and test my ankle out, so I started up again with W1D1 of C25K so that I could take it slow. It felt great to get back out running and there were no issues with the ankle and I've already planned a 5k run in November.
9/25--207.6 Only one snack yesterday, so that was great. Strength coach tonight.
9/26--208.1 Great workout yesterday and only had one snack last night. Going for a run tonight as long as the rain holds up.
9/27--207.6 Went to the gym before work this morning, it was great. I even wore a pair of workout tights that I had packed away since they had gotten tight on me. This morning I pulled them out and they fit even though I am 20lbs heavier than the last time I could fit into them...the weightlifting is really changing my body shape. So even though the scale is not going down as quickly as I would hope, my body is definitely changing.

2) Walk or exercise 30+ minutes
3) Stay on top of assignment grading!!!
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 – 185.8 – Little drop to start, despite the Chinese food I had last night. But here we are at the beginning of another weekend. How many calories in a poké bowl?
09/21 – 184.6 – Happy to see a drop, but I slept in this morning, so that may account for some off it. Apple festival with the grandkids this afternoon. Drinks and dinner with friends this evening. A bit over on calories but got in a 45 minute walk at the park.
09/22 – 184.6 – Holding steady. Gorgeous weather for the last day of summer! Dinner guests this evening, but logging and maintaining a deficit is easier when I can control the menu and portion sizes.
09/23 – 183.4 – Nice drop and, surprisingly, a new low. My younger son and his fiancé stopped by for a couple of days on their way home from a business trip, so we wound up doing a big family dinner and sitting around the fire pit until late last night. Restaurant lunch and take-out dinner today, so I expect a sodium bounce tomorrow. A busy day at work and I wanted to spend more time with family, so I didn’t cook, log, or walk. But I’ll be back on track tomorrow!
09/24 – 184.0 – There’s the bounce, but it’s not too bad. Exhausting day – 14 hours of teaching, meetings, and workshops - but I managed to stay under my calorie limit and log my food. No walk but I got in almost 9,000 steps. Next up: sleep!
09/25 – 184.0 – Slightly less busy day. Woke up feeling sluggish but determined to meet my goals today. I walked for an hour in the park next to campus and still made it to my afternoon workshop - with 3 minutes to spare. Met my calorie and logging goals. Even got a bit of the neverending grading done!
09/26 – 183.0 – Good to see the last bounce gone. Student conferences all day, but I’m done with classes for another week. Dinner out with my husband, followed by a 35-minute walk around town. Still feeling too full, although I managed to come in under my calorie limit. We’ll see what the scale says tomorrow.
09/27 – 183.0 – TGIF! What a lovely day to be outdoors! Took a nice long walk in the park this morning, unwinding from a busy week. Early dismissal for the grandkids, so we spent the afternoon at the beach splashing through the surf and combing the sand for treasure. Logged and easily stayed below my calorie limit, so the weekend is off to a great start!

** ROUND 90 **
Round # 21 for me
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 396.4 (-0.4)
09/21 397.0 (+0.6)
09/22 397.6 (+0.6)
09/23 396.6 (-1.0) – I have just not had a good year. I must finish the year strong! I have an appointment Oct 10th with a weight lost specialist for WLS patients. I have an appointment on Oct 3rd with a knee specialist. I need to see a sleep specialist also because I know I have sleep apnea and it is rearing its ugly head again. My therapist came back from maternity leave and we had a good session last Tuesday and I have been doing better ever since. Still doing WW. Was up 10.8 pounds with them and decided to just start the ticker over with them. My PCP prescribe something for me that is stomach and liver friendly that seems to be helping my knees. I hope you all are still rocking things. It is end of month which starts getting hectic for me tomorrow, but I am determined not to drop the ball on ME. I know I may not make goal weight of 389 but at this point I will be happy with losing 4 pounds
09/24 393.8 (-2.8) - At month ends, I will not have much time to chit chat but I am very happy about today’s loss. I did several things right yesterday. We will see on Saturday when I weigh in at WW. One thing I want to share is I have been getting in the bed before midnight 3 nights in a row. This is compared to 1 and 2 o’clock in the morning. I must say I can certainly feel the difference. My goal is to keep this up even on Friday and Saturdays unless I have an event and I am out until midnight.
09/25 393.0 (-0.8)
09/26 391.4 (-1.6) – It has been hectic month/quarter end at work. I have been struggling but making my step and managing my plan so so. I doubt I will lose today. We will see. Staying mindful and focused on my year end goal.
09/27 392.0 (+0.6) Not as bad as I thought. Not perfect. Did not get my steps in. Not enough water. Tomorrow should be better. I weigh in at WW tomorrow. Hopefully I will be down 3+ pounds.

My journey … ("I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!")In 2003 Weighed over 600 lbsMy highest weight was 611 in 2003. Weight in 2004 before weight loss surgery was 580. Lowest weight after surgery was 302 in 2007. "I May Not Be Where I Want To Be, but I’m Not Where I Use To Be!"
In 2005 Weighed under 400 lbs
In 2007 lowest weight after surgery 302lbs
I joined MFP on March 27, 2010 weighing in at 388 pounds. I was re-gaining weight and stumbled up on it while trying to get back on track. I was determined never to see 400+ on that scale again for me.
I have been morbidly obese all my life. I have a lifetime of mental and physical scars from obesity. In October 2004 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. WLS (Weight Loss Surgery) was the best gift that I could and did give to myself.
Between 2008 and 2010 I gradually gained back 80 of almost 300 pounds lost initially after weight loss surgery. I never reached my goal weight of 200 pounds. I still managed to keep off over 65 percent of the weight I lost which is very good and I am very proud of my accomplishments since 2004. It has literally changed my life for the better on all levels. I am here to lose re-gained weight and to reach my initial goal weight. I am in no hurry. I am taking this one day at a time and I am in it for the long haul.
Surgery did not fix the head. It is a good tool and the best gift I have given to myself, but it was not the easy way out as many people think. Once the honeymoon period is over after the WLS it is up to the patient to keep the weight off.
On August 29, 2011-- I was admitted to Intensive Out Patient Eating Disorder Program to learn how to manage my binge eating disorder effectively. The program is wonderful indeed and will be instrumental in me reaching all of my goals. The focus of this program was how to eat and not diet. Weight loss was not a goal of the program. I actually gained 20 pounds in program. But I had to get thru a lot of stuff and my the time I was released I had stopped gaining. I was discharged from program on December 3, 2011.
My tool is still working for me today. My head is still the issue. SO the struggle continues. I will never beat myself up again. I fight the fine fight faithfully and positively everyday. Because that is what will get me to my goals one day. Even though it may not show up on the scale every day -- Everyday I make progress one way or another just by showing up, waking up and trying.
Giving up is not an option for me. Perseverance, Patience, & Positive thinking will help me reach my goals…… and the same is true for you too!! We have the power within us.:flowerforyou: SW 373.4 - 1/3/19 GW 348 - 12/31/19 :flowerforyou:Round 64 - SW 373.4 EW 369 (-4.4)

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 90 (round 22 for me ) I'm in for another round, tomorrow I will be back home and weighing in on my own scales! After a brilliant holiday. Just 4 weeks to go before our cheeky pre-Brexit break on The Algarve, must get these extra ponds off for then !
Female age 61 5' 4”
Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Round goal – lose holiday gain,; be mindful of what I eat & drink and keep walking.
Spoiler
Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 137.6 - 13.7 miles walked yesterday. Catch the plane home this evening, weigh in on my own scales tomorrow.
09/21 137.2 – 8.55 miles walked yesterday, arrived back home at 3.30 am.; very minimal sleep & low quality dozing on the 'plane. Have 4 weeks to get rid of this holiday weight before we fly off for our next holiday! New day today!
09/22 135.6 – yes! That's what happens to holiday weight when I get back home & stop having a glass of wine with every meal!! 10 miles walked yesterday including 3 hours of intense dancing last night – brilliant!
09/23 134.8 – yes! another half a pound off. 5.5 miles walked yesterday & a really good food day
09/24 133.6 – so pleased the holiday weight is coming off quickly. 8.55 miles walked yesterday.
09/25 134.2 – 8.25 miles yesterday, CI under CO so guessing just a normal fluctuation.
09/26 134.2 - 10.37 miles walked yesterday
09/27 134.2 – 3.64 miles walked yesterday, or should I say chasing after my 18 month old grandson!!
09/28 135.6 – sigh! My own fault entirely – it was the Macmillan's big coffee morning here yesterday, I binged on cake . I know it's a good cause, but I could have donated the same and just had one cake; I ate there and brought some home for the family and ate them too before they got home, not only that – I seem to remember me saying exactly the same thing last year – will I ever learn ???? 9.56 miles walked yesterday, think I need to do 29 or more to compensate for the calories I consumed!!! Determined to have perfect day today.

9/23 190.2 lbs 5h57m/76/11:14pm - kicked it up a notch in Combat, but may be paying a price: my right shoulder is f'd. We'll see how it feels in training today. Otherwise, it was a nice, quiet, restful day with the dogs. 🐾

09/24 206. I was successful at fasting yesterday & expect that today will be the same. I feel strong & determined
09/25 203.2. For the first time ever I am successfully fasting. I have not had a nibble of food. I am drinking coffee & water & taking my supplements. I am active & I feel good. I have mentally prepared for this fast since the spring equinox.
09/26 202.2. Yesterday I felt so good about fasting. Then I got really hungry after yoga. To be fair I did get almost 14000 steps & did a 1 hour hot yoga class. I feel good this morning, a little tired.
09/27 203. I ended my fast last night. I wasn’t feeling great & I was hungry. I am a little disappointed I didn’t push through but I still beat my last longest fast by an hour.
09/28 203.8. Yesterday was a good day until we got home from DSs hockey game & I did what I swore I wouldn’t do after this fast… i only want to eat 3 meals no snacking but I became a LNS monster. Oh well, we have nothing unhealthy in the house so not much chance of any real damage.

I love you ?electrolytes. I felt 80% of my normal yesterday. Got a few things accomplished. I did not reach 128 ozs of water yesterday, because I was running more errands. Today, I will.
9/21 - 185.2 - IF/21hrs/Meal times~5pm, 7pm. 18g carbs. Did not drink enough water yesterday, but I managed to get in all of my electrolytes. Took a "littles" walk with my Great Niece ? She likes to walk and I could walk her speed without too much difficulty. My hip joints and muscles are still somewhat stiff and painful, but I've got to move! Using a heating pad at night has been beneficial. Ketones detected today. Edging my way back into ketosis.
9/22 - 185.6? (183.6?) - Every once in a while my scale fuctuates wildly. I'll go with the high number. I didn't sleep that well last night and sipped water throughout. IF/19.5hrs. Meal times~ 2:30, 8pm. 19g carbs. Going to visit 2 of the Grands today at Carb Central. Lol. Thats what I'm going to start calling their home.
9/23 - 185.2 - IF/18hrs. Meal times~ 2pm, 7:30. 33g carbs, 21g net carbs. Only vegetable carbs, cabbage and squash.
9/24 - 185.6 - IF/19.5hrs. Meal times~ 3pm, 6:30. 27g carbs, 19g net carbs. I think I may weigh a little less than this, but I can never wait out my body processes 😯 before water and coffee in the morning.
9/25 - 184.6 - IF/20hrs. Meal times~ 2:30, 6:30. 32g carbs, 25g net carbs. Time to clean up the flower bed, outdoor flower pots😢 and plant some spring bulbs. The sun was so intense midsummer that even the sun loving flowers growth was stunted. Now they are flourishing. Between the heat and the deer eating my plants and flowers, it's a wonder there's anything left out there.
9/26 - Now for a bit of entertainment. 181.8😲~ 182.8😳~ 179.8😌~ 181.9😔~ 184😏✔ Scale games this morning. IF/21hrs. Meal times~ 3:30, 7:30. 20g carbs. Planting some daffodil bulbs in a pot today. I've always planted bulbs in the ground, so I don't know how that will work for me. I dug them up two months ago from my front "weed beds" lol. Thats all that grows there, because the "soil" is dirt. Strength training today. My shoulders are in poor condition.

09/20 191.4 (-0.4) did my workout and 15K steps. Sticking to this dr prescribed diet which is fairly close to keto but not as much saturated fat. In moderate ketosis this am. Probably going to drop quickly this week due to water weight.
09/21 191.6 (+0.2) 17 K steps and on plan. Tired today so didn't get to my workout.
09/22 Away. Not my scale. May weigh on another scale for comparison.
09/23 193.8 (+2.2) not surprising to have the jump. Ate off plan this weekend a bit and not very active.
09/24 191.4(-2.4) ok so the weekend blip is over. Haven't started working out again since last week so going to get to it today. Feeling skinnier though! Did my measurements and gave lost 17" in the last 6 weeks (2 rounds if 21 day fix). It's so easy to lose focus and give up too soon. I really want to learn from these last 6 weeks that even if it's not perfect, progress will still happen over time.
09/25 189.8 (-1.6) woohoo!! Ok I feel like I'm finally making progress! I still haven't gotten into my workout routine - yesterday was a 18 hour day and I just couldn't do it. I might reschedule some stuff today to at least get to one. I don't think I woll have time to do Monday & Tuesdays workout but better late than never!
09/26 189.4 (-0.4) great! Did my workout finally and sticking to my eating plan. I wish I knew how much was water weight loss and how much is actual fat loss. But I do love how low carb makes you feel slimmer and not puffy from dropping all this water.
09/27 188.8 (-0.6) 👍👍 did my workout. Stuck to plan.
09/28 190 (+1.2) maybe a normal fluctuation or maybe I'm retaining water because I came down with a cold.

09/20: 234.4 - This made me feel amazing!
09/21: 234.8 - worked out hard all week eating back some calories!
09/22: 235.0 - went on a date yesterday and had a lot of fun. Loved eating over my calories. Decided to relax today too and start back up tomorrow.
09/23: 236.6 - 60 minutes on stationary bike.
09/24: 235.4 - Had a fun weekend but I'm getting back on track. Focusing on not overeating and getting my workout in today.
09/25: 234.2 - Got my workout in yesterday and resisted the urge to eat cake at work today. I'm feeling really good and starting to see results. Focusing on working out and not going over my calories today
09/26: 232.6 - this feels good. I like see the numbers go down. I got my workout in and ate within my calories. Things are going really good this week.
09/27: 232.2 - woot woot so nice to see the scale headed in the right direction again. Got my workout in yesterday and am feeling good about getting close to my goal of hitting 230 by the end of September. Have a good weekend everyone. 😊
09/28: 232.6 - enjoyed some pizza yesterday and got my workout in. Managed to stay within my calories quite easily and I feel like I have a much better relationship with food lately. I have self control and can actually stop myself. I enjoy chocolate everyday but I don't engorge myself on it. Today I'm going to a renaissance festival with my boyfriend and our 9 yr old daughter. The boys are staying home with a sitter and we are going to enjoy some time away. My girl is going to love it. Happy Saturday everyone 😊.

Round 89 wasn’t any better than the last few rounds. I’m going to keep joining though and keep trying. I need to get my diet under control and start doing some form of exercise again. I think I need to update my excel sheet and start tracking my numbers again that was motivating me to see the trends going down.

Sept 20 - 184.8 well I am starting 2 pounds lower than the last round.
Sept 21 - 186.8 - that didn’t last.
Sept 22 - 186.2 - I don’t feel well at all and hopefully I can knuckle down after I feel better.
Sept 23 - 187.6 - way too much sodium and carbs yesterday
Sept 24 - 188.2 - still sick and not feeling like putting effort into this right now.
Sept 25 - 188.8 - pizza and cheese bread, need I say more?
Sept 26 - 188.8 - well at least it hit higher again.
Sept 27 - 187.8 - had a better day yesterday, not perfect but certainly better.
Sept 28 - 188.4 - a decent day yesterday until I had a huge supper.7 -

09/20 -193.8lbs- Starting off this round celebrating a 10lb loss since I started back on my journey!
09/21 -193.4lbs- No planned exercise. Still watching the calories though.
09/22 -193lbs- Got in some slow walking and house work yesterday. Also found out that it is really challenging to eat out and stay within calories!
09/23 -192.8lbs- Weekend went pretty well. On to Monday and a little meal planning. I don't love meal planning but I have got to stick with it.
09/24 -192.8lbs- No exercise yesterday except housework. My base calories without exercise is 1200...not easy to stick to but I should be back to walking soon. I can always find some work to do around here until then!
09/25 -191.9lbs- Calorie count was good yesterday. Did an exercise video online yesterday and will do another today. I will do some meal planning today. It is hard to stay in calorie range if I don't plan ahead.
09/26 -192.8lbs- I ate well yesterday and did a low impact cardio video and my calf muscles are so sore! I was walking, even jogging a little, several times a week so that soreness was unexpected!
09/27 -192.4lbs- I had a very stressful evening yesterday but I did NOT soothe myself with food. I went to my room to take a few deep breathes and get control of my thoughts and then I went for a walk. This is a skill I need to practice every day!
09/28 -191.6lbs- Almost to the 180s! Now to get through the weekend...

Still painting! I just finished my office/studio/woman cave in a gorgeous light/medium lilac. It was paper bag tan before. I am not a dark tan person unless it’s from being outside. Omg, what a difference! Now to reassemble the room. I also painted the door from the kitchen to the laundry room an interesting bright pink and wowser! Nice happy pop of color. The laundry is newly yellow, and the door from there to the garage is bright turquoise. I think my years on the NC coast are showing. All of which is to say that a happy-colored environment makes me happier and less likely to comfort eat. Let the painting continue! Do others of you find that colors in your environment affect your mood and behavior? Oh, and I’m having a group of friends (women) over for a potluck tomorrow to celebrate my new-this-summer garden. Other than the pie I’ve heard is coming, this group leans toward healthy foods. All good! Have a lovely weekend, all!
09/21 - 164
Still haven’t conquered the evening snack monster but I did resist the mid-afternoon urge yesterday. I pulled weeds instead. I went 3 years not sabotaging myself so I don’t understand why I’m finding this so hard now. I can’t believe I’ve gained 30 pounds since last fall. Sigh. But this round I’m not worryingly no as much about weight as about recovering my long-time healthful behaviors. You all help a lot with your inspiring posts. Thank you.

Lots of food and sodium over the weekend. Sigh. But happy equinox, all!
09/24 - 164 (correcting from earlier goof)
Yesterday was a good day. This evening I’m going to a monthly potluck with a women’s group I belong to, so I’ll have to be on my guard. People do bring lots of healthy offerings, but there are also always lots of sweets. My strategy is to pick one and have one bite. I’m taking a salad of baby kale with quinoa, chickpeas, tomatoes, peppers, and a whisper of lemon vinaigrette, so I can always take a decent serving of that! I hope you’re all enjoying the kind of gorgeous early fall weather we’re havin* here!

Drat. But it’s ok. Salt at last nights do.

My bathroom is torn up as I paint it. No idea where I put the scale. Subconscious hiding? I hope to finish today, so I’ll check in tomorrow.

Still painting. Just as well — I didn’t eat properly yesterday. Have a lovely weekend, all.

Day/Weight/Comment
09/20 135.3 I have an early meeting today to prep for so weighing three hours before I usually do so I think this number is probably higher than usual, which I’m not mad about! Should be a good day.
09/21 135.0, going to a beach yoga class and then just having a day at the house catching up on chores. I will be meal prepping some for next week to get ahead a bit.
09/22 134.8, New low and on the other side of 135. I’m going to the gym for 50 minutes class today and have dinner at a Mexican restaurant so might be up over the next few days but will really focus on water to combat the sodium/sunburn.
09/23 134.6, typical Monday with lunch leftovers from Friday, tennis lesson after work, and shrimp salad for dinner.
09/24 134.6, need to focus more on drinking water throughout the day, instead of overdoing it at night trying to get as close to goal as possible.
09/25 134.3, went out with a friend to celebrate a new job and drank my calories instead of eating. Stayed within calories, but going I am to limit drinking to 2 days for the rest of the week since I just don’t feel good after drinking anymore (tolerance is way down and not worth the headache the next morning).
09/26 134.5, going to a barre class and meals are prepped so hoping to stay in the 134s through the end of the round.
09/27 134.5, sore from barre class so will stick with an elliptical workout today. Heavy emphasis on water today since only drank 3 glasses yesterday.
09/28 134.5, busy day tonight with an engagement party, errand (including buying gift) and gym

09/24 …..192.2 ….. Yesterday’s stats: 1334 Calories In / 2737 Calories Out. 21 Net Carbs. 17,397 Total Steps & 7.36 Total Miles. 12/13 Fitbit Step Hours (lost an hour at my dr. appt) and I slept 4 hours & 19 minutes
09/25 …..192.2 ….. Travel Day 1055 Calories In / 2853 Calories Out. 20 Net Carbs. 20,928 Total Steps & 8.86 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 3 hours & 47 minutes.
09/26 …..196.6 ….. After travel weigh-in. Another travel day today too. Disappointed with scale but I want to PROMISE everyone that I did not eat the 15,000 calories that would be required to make this jump on the scale. The water retention is the most frustrating part after a restaurant meal, but this too shall pass. The second most frustrating part is the lack of consistent movement. This also affects the calorie burn for the day. I worked hard last night at home just to get my 10,000 plus steps in! I am traveling again in just a bit for the day & evening so I will catch up on all the posts tonight.
09/27 …..198.0 ….. After travel weigh-in after two individual days of travel. Chinese for lunch and leftovers for dinner. Carbs & sodium showing up on the scale. Yesterday’s stats: 2510 Calories In / 2530 Calories Out. Approximately 128 Carbs (ugg). 14,352 Total Steps & 6.07 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit step hours which was difficult to get during travel. I slept 6 hours & 54 minutes last night which was unusual for me but badly needed. After returning home late yesterday evening I fit in an 81 minute walk on a new trail with very very rugged terrain. It was stunningly beautiful! Extra calorie burn 410. Back on track today is the plan. However, I’m not sure about exercise plan for the day. Rainy & cold today here in northern Michigan.
09/28 …..192.6 ….. Wow! 4 days of wild fluctuations due to travel meals & water retention! Usually more like “fast on, slow off”. Anyway, down to working on the real fat now! I worked very hard yesterday in many ways. With my diet I knew I wanted extra low calories to get back on track so I spread them out wisely and luckily, no sugar drop! For exercise, I ended up with a short 30 minute but very brisk walk in my neighborhood. Then I later walked in the drizzling rain and in the dark for quite some time on my acreage while talking on the phone to my cousin with the intention of burning more calories & getting more steps. Lots of steps & miles! I didn’t get too close to the woods though, lest there be bears! It is bear hunting season right now so they are in a panic I’m sure and I don’t want to get caught in their cross hairs! Yesterday’s stats: 1060 Calories In / 3213 Calories Out. 23 Net Carbs. I walked 26,236 steps & 11.12 miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 4 hours & 30 minutes getting up & down all night to shed the water. It was worth it! Today is cold & damp but the sun is starting to peak out. I have been invited by my neighbor & walking partner for a salmon dinner. I am bring my own keto friendly side to steer clear of the sweet potatos she is making. It will be a good day today.

We have the power within us.
@IsMollyReallyHungry Thank you so much for sharing this spoiler including pictures. I am so proud of your accomplishments & so inspired. You are lovely in every way Molly!
